First time on a CL Site.
Booking very easy, even when we did it at very short notice. Easy to find and no problems in setting up.
There is a hard standing for two pitches and plenty of room in the rest of the paddock for the remaining three pitches.
As with any field, when heavy rain it got a bit soft but as we were on the hard standing this was not an issue for us.
Clean basic toilet.
Ideally located for Southampton, straightforward drive and less than 15 mins to main shopping area.
Lots of local shops within a 10 min drive and fish and chip shop.
Located on the edge of the New Forest, good for walks, cycling etc.
Very nice site

We spent a weekend here while visiting family close by.
This is a superb little site, owner Tory is exceptionally friendly and relaxed, very happily loaning extra long hook up cables without asking for deposits etc.
Our only criticism is the one toilet- we weren't quite sure if it was for campers as signs not clearly displayed
Such a quiet and calm site - all added to a lovely chilled weekend, we aim to return in the warmer months to enjoy the tranquil evening atmosphere. We will definitely return again

Excellent CL site only minutes from the M27 with easy access on the approach roads.
A very quiet site within walking distance of the beautiful and serene New Forest, and less than 5 miles from Lyndhurst, which is a really lovely town, all the amenities you would wish for, including a good camping store. There are more local stores within walking distance for your daily basics.
The site itself is very nice, with a good hardstanding area and a grassed area. There are pigs and horses in the field next door (2 horses and 3 pigs) which totally adds to the feel of the place and would be an obvious attraction to animal lovers such as myself.
The owner (Tory) was very charming and endearing, and very happy to help.
As I'm new to CL sites, a notice/welcome board would have been nice, with useful site info displayed on it. But if the owners meet you on arrival then not completely necessary.
Overall a very nice site and I will go back there if I get a chance.

We’ve been visiting Martins Farm for four years and have just returned from our second visit this summer. For us the site is perfect. It’s peaceful and there is little or no traffic noise.
It lies a few hundred yards from the forest proper which means there’s no chance of the wild ponies raiding the awning while you’re out.
There are horses and pigs on the farm. We haven’t met the landlord but the landlady, Tory, is charming, witty, helpful and her little dog, Alibi, is an absolute pet.
Well behaved camper’s dogs get a warm welcome; we have two. The site has excellent security; CCTV and closed gates. There is a loo too, always a good thing and always kept clean.
Local facilities include a superstore about 3 miles away at Totton and a heap of very nice eateries and farm shops close and handy which is very useful when one is ‘enjoying’ limited fridge-space.
All in all Martins Farm has a high feel-good factor and we hope to be returning for years to come.

We have just returned from our second stay at this delightful little site on the edge of the New Forest. The weather prior to our visit had been dreadful and we were pleased to be on one of the two hardstanding pitches, steel pegs needed if you wish to put up an awning.
The other pitches looked a bit damp to say the least but soon dried out when the rain stopped.
Access to the Forest is easy as is the local well stocked shop/post office.
There are two major supermarkets within ten minutes drive. All pitches have electric hookups but extension leads are required for some, the owners provide a cable free of charge if needed.
There is a toilet but no shower. It is a couple of hundred yards from the site but you can always stop and chat to the three Gloucester Old Spot piglets on the way.
Very friendly and helpful site owners (including Alibi the resident lurcher).

Enjoyed a nice break with several nights here. A quiet CL site with no frills (but that's why we like and choose CLs), hardstanding are available. Lots of wildlife to watch, good for walking, pub nearby and a good village shop that stocks a good selection of products.
Very nice helpful owners.
If I am allowed one criticism it is that you have a long walk to empty your grey waste water. Drinking water is much closer though.
We will be back again in 2012. Also it's great to be able to check and book pitch availability online! (Why don't more CL owners provide this??) GREAT!

We stayed at this lovely, peaceful site for four days last autumn. The owners were very friendly and welcoming as was their little dog. The site and facilities were well kept and clean.
The field we parked in was spacious, the caravan next to ours was a good distance away. We enjoyed petting the owners horse and seeing the little pigs grazing in the field.
Shops were within a short driving distance as was a very nice fish and chip shop.
We drove to Southampton and Portsmouth so the site is very well situated for both.
We intend to visit again later this year and we have recommended it to friends.

£12 a night (expensive for the winter months)
The ease of booking this Certified location was brilliant through their own website. I really wanted to like this site after such a positive start visiting their website, yet on arrival was a little disappointed.
Understandably, during the winter periods all caravans were permitted to the hard standing only. This was fine, but with 3 caravans crammed on, we were unable to put up our awning due to lack of space and when a motorhome turned up they couldn't get onto a pitch.
It was also disappointing when I was setting up I was dodging dog poo that had not been cleared up.
Still, I really liked the area and could see the potential of this site, especially during the summer months. The owners were very friendly and made you feel welcome.
We will go back during the summer and give it another go, and hopefully the attention to detail may be corrected.
The toilets often never had toilet roll in them but were clean enough. No showers from what we could see, but we use our own anyway.
If you have dogs then you can walk from the site to a nearby bridleway which takes you into the Forest. It's a lovely walk, one which we would do again.
There are pubs nearby, but we decided to drive a bit further a field to find a nicer pub. Each to their own I suppose.
Look forward to trying it again in the summer.

Hi, Just spent a great 2 weeks at this quiet but pleasant site. The new owners are great, they have only been at the site 1 month and are still finding their feet, they are also open to idea's about how to in prove your stay. Great for walking and dogs. Don't expect any elaborate trimmings.

We have just spent a truly relaxing week at Martin's Farm - what a gem of a site. Despite poor weather it was a pleasure to stay there. The owners are very friendly and helpful with lots of information on this beautiful area available. There are no showers or washing facilities but there is a toilet.
The farm is very pretty and the caravan site is very well kept - grass and hardstanding. There is water, chemical disposal and wastebins and facilities to recylce. Would highly recommend Martin's Farm and will definitely be returning.
