Stayed at haven 29 September for one week very close to beach within 5 mins walk. Facilities clean could have been more prominent activities during the day.
Grounds need some improvement a few. Pot holes and more lighting especially now dark.
Didn't use toilet facilities but partner use elson facilities which could have been better.

We stayed here at Caister on Sea, Haven site for 1 week in August 2012, JO our warden was really friendly and helpful.
The showers and toilets were immaculate, the swimming pool great.
We had lovely food in the Mash and Barrel but you need to go early or late as massive queues form across meal times which in itself is a testament to the quality and value of the food served.
Free wi fi if required both inside and out on the terrace.
Children's play area free of charge.
Electric bikes and go carts although a small fee for the tokens is required, also the same for the astro slide.
All the normal typical Haven site entertainment.
Disabled scooter hire.
4 wheel bike/cart hire
Stalls on certain days of the week, hair braiding, trinkets, jewellery, bags, scarves, photo key rings etc.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, 7 days was not long enough, so we booked for 2wks for this year 2013 before we left and couldn't believe the deal we got for booking while still there.
We have now had our 2 weeks there this year and loved every minute of it. Although there is a new warden he was very friendly and helpful.
Our 2 weeks flew by, we went to Gorleston beach 1 day, it is a lovely clean sandy (not stoney) beach. We went on the steam railway, a broads cruise, really well worth doing, we had a day at Africa Alive, lovely to see these big animals and not in steel enclosures, they are out in as near natural habitat as possible, you can pay extra for a tour through the savannah like zoo and get even closer to the animals, there are smaller animals too, just remember good walking shoes, a great day out.
We went to the Merrivale model village in Great Yarmouth, well laid out, if you get your hand stamped you can go back in at night when dark falls and see it all lit up, well worth a visit and a coffee/tea & cake stop in their cafe.
Still in Great Yarmouth but another visit, we had a horse and landau ride up and down the sea front and then Harry Ramsdens fish and chips before heading off to the circus, no animals, great fun, nerve tingling acrobatics, and amazing synchronised swimming at the end, don't miss it.
We also had a night at the theatre to see an Abba tribute band.
All this done inbetween lots of swimming and entertainment at the sites complex. We also had fish and chips from the on site chippy, we have always only had haddock and as they only sell cod we tried it, we must say it was delicious
The showers and toilets in the tourer area were kept immaculate as were the toilets in the rest of the complex.
The spar shop on site is no dearer than home, a Lidl at the end of the street, Tesco and Asda not too far away, Take aways too.
We had our son and family staying up the road at the Grange Hotel and campsite in their tent for a few days, we all went into the Hotel restaurant at the Grange for a Birthday meal, it is safe to say we won't be using it again although they did refund the cost of the 3 meals we couldn't eat.
We didn't have a problem with the noise from traffic, we only heard the odd ambulance, we live in a very quiet village well away from traffic so we are not used to it, however the touring area is a very large oval shaped area with pitches around the edge then there is the island another oval area within the main one with more pitches on. We have pitched on Rows 1 &3, row 4 being under the trees by the roadside, where I can imagine, if you are not used to traffic noise it could be noisy.
We can't go back next year due to other family commitments but we will be back in 2015 and we can't wait.

Have just returned from 10 days on this site. The touring pitches are really good, being fully serviced and large however the down side is the main road which runs right next to it. The traffic was terrible and you could not have a conversation because of it. We might as well have been parked at the side of the motorway. The plus side was that the shower facilities were spotless and the staff friendly. Entertainment could have been better. The surrounding are, especially The Broads is lovely. Would definitely return to the area but unfortunately not this site because of the road noise.

Just returned from a 3 night stay and on the whole enjoyed our stay, however would have preferred hardstandings. The area for the awning was just mud so didn't bother to put it up, some gravel for the awning space would be much better than the 'grass' so that at the end of the season it was still clean.
The toilet and shower block was always clean and warm, although the ladies did smell of drains. Soap dishes or a shelf would be nice in the showers instead of having to put everything on the floor.
The staff were always cheerful and helpful, although the touring warden was very seldom around, but pleasant when she was there.
A sign to point out the touring reception on first arrival would be helpful as we went to the main reception and was then sent to the touring part. The warden said that many people were doing the same so a sign would be good.
The bus stop is located close to the entrance with a bus to Gt. Yarmouth every 15mins. A nice walk to the facilities in Caister.
The carvery on the park on Sunday was excellent and the on site shop was useful and not overpriced.
The Centurion Pub 150yds from the park is also worth a visit. On the whole would return,

A well maintained site that we have visited over and over again.
Each pitch has plenty of space and has individual turret for tv, electricity, water and waste.
The showers are exceptional well maintained and clean. The only criticism is there was only one refuse facility.
The facilities on site are fantastic. The sports and water activities are fab, as were the staff.
The entertainment staff were brilliant with a varied timetable to suit all tastes, the new show bar was nice and bar staff were pleasant as were the security staff
The restaurant served pub grub which was reasonably priced and was of a reasonable standard.
There was so much to do on the site the furthest we strayed was the beach which is accessed from the site.
I would recommend this site to anybody with children, it is fab

We booked a week for the bargain price of £60 with the intention of visiting friends who live nearby. The site was easy to find, very friendly greeting as the warden came out to our car as we pulled up.
We were directed to our pitch and were offered to walk us over but the instruction was that clear we didn't need it. The pitch was on a gentle slope so we used a chock to level. Electric, water, grey waste and tv point were at every pitch. The grass was a little threadbare on the pitch but it wasn't a real issue. We were in pitch 37, a nice distance to the complex (a lot closer than other haven sites that we've been to) but far enough away to escape the music that the on site chip shop insists on blasting out.
Usual haven facilities, our son enjoyed the (free) messy morning play time, and breakfast with the characters. Loads of play areas and again these are free. Combined with the pool there are plenty of things to do for free.
The gents toilets were at best 8/10 compared to blue dolphin that are 10/10 In the mens only 3 out of 5 sinks had working hot water and 2 out of 3 hand blowers worked so that could lead to a queue in busy times, The floor wasn't exactly sparkling either, might seem like a small gripe but after seeing how clean blue dolphin can do it with a touring park 4x the size then there really is no excuse. Having said that my partner had no issue with the ladies.
The chip shop 'jolly friar' should be called the grumpy old git, but the chips were nice although not the cheapest.
Typical haven spar on site that wasn't anymore expensive than your local.
The pool was lovely but again the toilets were a let down, on 1 occasion they positively stank from the shower area. £1 refundable deposit for a locker.
1 problem we did have have is we had breakfast in the mash and barrel, and the waitress delivered our HOT breakfast and rested the tray on our 18 month old sons high chair, luckily I was close enough to grab his arms before he pulled anything hot over himself ( we are going to contact haven over this)
The beach is only 10 mins slow walk from the touring area but there's no direct beach access. You have to climb over a steel barrier or go a long way round, not a problem for us but for the less mobile it might be a problem.
The surrounding area is absolutely stunning. There's a co-op within walking distance in caister. A tesco a bit further on and a giant asda in yarmouth 2 miles away.
We visited friends in ludham (stunning village) and we took a day boat out from ludham bridge. Well worth doing. Spent a day up in cromer, again very nice and well worth the short drive.
Although we had a few minor gripes we really really enjoyed our stay and have already looked a pricing for our vist next year even in spite of the 4 hour drive to get here.

Our first caravan trip took us to the Norfolk coast to Haven holidays at Caister. What a first trip choice that turned out to be!
Superb is the best word to describe this site. Many factors contributed and here are some of the main ones:
Facilities
So many and something for everybody. All of them are well maintained and looks like a company that's really trying to do their best in the current climate. This site has everything you will need and more. Can't fault it.
Location
Near to Great Yarmouth, almost on the beach itself and very good roads to get there. Spot on and convenient.
Staff
Excellent and near perfect. Ultra friendly, knew the answer to any questions and couldn't help enough! Very impressive.
Touring section
Superb pitches, well laid out, nice size and separation, well maintained, clean, everything within reach and sensible placement. Wish all sites had pitches like this but I know they don't.
Price
We paid £19. 50 for two nights! That's a total bargain for such a decent pitch! Unbeatable value and especially when you consider you have all that entertainment and facilities included such as the pool!
Do not hesitate to go here, great place and highly recommended!

Over the years I have stayed at a lot of Haven sites. The main focus of the site is to Part-ex your tourer for a static. The site was a typical Haven site.
Swimming pool Children's Entertainment Sports activities Take aways Bar and shows Shop
The Touring field is quite near the main complex, but it is a 5 minute walk to the pool and Beach. The Beach was Sand and with large dunes. Dogs are allowed on the beach.
The main issue was that Haven had not put any access over the sea defences from the main entrance by the pool. You therefore had to climb round the defence or up and over the large dune. This would be a big issue with small children and buggies. There was also a lot of rubbish on the beach, it looked very neglected. Unless you used the pool toilets then it was a long walk back to the touring area.
The Showers and toilets were Clean and up to the job. The main issue with the gents was with young children using it you had to flush the toilet before you used it. The site was full and I had my doubts that 3 cubicles could cope, but they did. There was a small design fault with the showers meaning that there was a small puddle in the dry area when you used them.
The pitches were Large, Fully serviced, well marked out, ground mesh, ours was a bit worn. The Toilets and Showers were at the top of the area and we were at the bottom so it was a uphill walk. The Block also seemed to be the wrong way round and pointed away from the touring area increasing the distance to walk.
We visited Wroxham steam railway and Boat on the broads which was very good and Great Yarmouth. We were only there for 5 nights.
I would visit again, as I loved walking the dog on the beach, the pitch and facilities were OK and its closeness to Yarmouth.

Chose this site as looking for a holiday park where you could stay in your own accommodation, ie. motorhome/tent etc. We have a 4 and 5 year old so we wanted somewhere we could go and be entertained for the 5 days without having to go off site.
Touring section of site is obviously virtually new (opened last year). Pretty much spotless and well laid out. Probably only negative was that the site is laid out in 4 rows, progressively getting further away from the main road - we were in row 3 and therefore a fair way away from the road but I think the road noise in row 1 could be a downside?
Pitches are large and I think all had ehu / water / tv point etc. Our campervan / awning looked positively lost in our pitch!
Washrooms / toilets / showers spotless, spacious and can't be faulted.
Security could be an issue as the touring site was next to a separate entrance off the main road and completely open to anyone walking/driving in. This would appear to be how the whole site operates. We were issued with passes to get into certain places in the park but I think the only place we had to show it was the swimming pool and entertainment venue but all was needed was a quick flash of the cards and in you went. To be honest if you timed it right and the attendants/security were doing something else you could simply get into anywhere.
The haven site is pretty much what you would expect - a typical entertainment / holiday park such as pontins / butlins.
I think this site would be great for toddlers and young kids but I could see teenagers would struggle to be amused for a week.
Evening entertainment was ok for the kids, the entertainment venue probably needed a re-vamp which I think it is having later this year.
Overall the site was good, some parts being virtually new (swimming pool, restaurants) and other parts needing refurbishment.
We spent half the time on the beach, which is accessed directly from the park. Beach is mostly pebbles/shingle with some sand. Walking towards caister you got more sand. Probably rate the beach as a 6/10.
In summary we had a great 5 days, would definitely go to another haven site (although would try another site), this park has very good touring facilities and the park is fine for small kids. For the money we paid it was excellent value as we did not need to go outside the park for the whole 5 days.

First time at a Haven site, will definitely go there again. Toilets and showers very clean but you do have to remember the code to get in! (this is so no one else on Haven site can use the block) The Pitches were very big, loads of room for caravan, awning, car + little garden area.
Had to hire a cable for the television (£10 returnable deposit), which was on the individual pitch turrets which also have connections for fresh water and a drain for the waste.
All the facilities seemed clean, only went for the weekend so couldn't try everything and all staff were very friendly.
Children (4 & 7) enjoyed the pool, especially the slide. The changing rooms were continually being cleaned. Went down to the beach which was much better than I thought it would be, sandy and hot, it was better than being abroad!
Only tried the Fish & chips but they were very tasty and the staff were very good.
Went to the entertainment on the Saturday night which was okay, bit more restrained than Butlins and enjoyed more.
Only downsides to it were the extras seemed expensive: bikes, golf and bigger slides. We had a pitch by the side of the road which was slightly noisy (not Haven’s fault obviously).
Security for the site was a bit lacking in that anyone could drive into the site without being stopped.
