Brilliant little site with excellent facilities. Free showers, with lots of hot water and plenty of clean and tidy toilets/showers for the size of the site. Short walk into town (1 street) which has all your amenities. The site is located as near to the beach as possible, the beach is pebbly with a stream running into it. Campsite warden very friendly and helpful. Excellent value for money. You can pitch your tent anywhere and although busy you didn't feel hemmed in.

Just returned after we (2 adults, 1 child)had an excellent 4 night stay at this lovely campsite, arrived to a lovely personal welcome message on the wardens window having already phoned in advance.
Pitched tent at side of the gentle flowing river which was a joy to see the swans, ducks and herons gracefully passing by. Shingle beach and sea were just at the bottom of the camping /touring area and there was many pleasant walks to be had. And great to watch the fish jumping at night in both the river and the sea.
Facilities on site are the best I've seen so far in my camping experience clean warm and well maintained females toilet / shower block and dish washing/ laundry block.
Warden came down later on to collect fees and gives us a friendly welcome and chat and was very happy to offer any help and give advice on things to do in the area.
The surrounding area has everything you need from coop to pubs post office etc and of course the famous chippie. There is a leisure centre and play park adjacent to the sites entrance.
The site is off the main busy road so it is very peaceful and I'm glad that I came across it as it was somewhere I would never have thought to have looked at for camping but very glad I found it and it seemed to be very popular with a steady flow of campers/ tourers.
I would definitely recommend this site to anyone wanting to have a peaceful break and enjoy the walks/fishing and just the sheer peacefulness of this excellent site.

We stayed for 1 night at this site, its a great little site,
Yes the toilets are very clean, and the showers are roomy and the waters hot,
3 great pubs in the centre of the village, we had a very good Indian take away, but don't buy a draught pint in the bar of the Indian they don't seem to clean the pipes, the beer tasted very stale, stick with bottles there, but its also a good pub.
Good paths to Gourdon a sea front walk which is around 1. 3 miles walk from the site each way

Perfect little campsite & best price on our tour of Scotland! Unlike all those over charged sites we all know! Want to tell you how great it was but also want to keep it to ourselves and not share! Quite a drive off main road, quaint secluded village yet with all shops, post office, restaurants and pub of course!
1 adult, 2 teens, two under 10's and our dog stayed in a tent here beginning of August. We all loved it here! Great atmosphere, enjoy the beauty, peace, friendliness and tranquillity of this place.
Small safe slow flowing river, beach and sea just a few steps away over cobbled mounds. Cobbled beach and sand. The children didn't want to leave but we were touring Scotland. It was so safe and secluded here that my youngest were allowed to stand and throw stones in the sea by themselves!
There is also a play park, swings, slide, field etc that can be seen from the campsite.
You drive on, choose your own patch no need to book but we did ring ahead to check. Warm and friendly welcome sign personally to your group when you arrive :-) Warden comes along in the morning, has a friendly chat with all and takes fee. Lovely modern and nice warm shower/toilets. Laundry and washing up facilities also. The weather was great when we stayed we got sunburnt! A drying room would tee this site off in case of bad weather. Definitely going back to this Inerbervie campsite when we holiday again in Scotland.

Think this our 6th or 7th stay here now between tent and camper. The female toilet block and washing up section have been re-build and re-newed.
We find this a lovely site right down on the sea front with a really nice peeble beach and river flowing into the sea.
Town is great with all the things you need. Chemist / post office / butchers / co-op / chinese take-away / indian-takeaway and four pubs!
Great site just don't tell your friends or this site will be really busy with no space for you!

We spent two nights here and thoroughly enjoyed it, even though the weather was not the best.
The touring park is the lower of the three layers, the higher ones being statics, the toilet blocks look dated but inside, they are very clean the showers are excellent.
The grass pitches all with hook ups are big and with the amount of rain we saw they drain really well.
The village itself has everything you need, mini market, Indian & Chinese, pubs that do food as well. A good walk along the coast to Gourdon about a mile was worth it for the fresh fish that is sold there.
The warden was very pleasant, when she came down in the morning after we arrived, there is plenty of space for kids to explore and ther is a play park across from the site.
We will be back here next season for a longer stay.

Been visiting Bervie since I was a baby and am now 48. Can't count how many times I have stayed here and love it as do all my family.
Simple site with no frills but total haven for fishing, walking and visiting surrounding areas of interest.
Have camped in all sizes of tent and also use our caravan but have never experienced any difficulty in using either.
Site warden lovely and nothing is a problem.
Toilets are basic but functional with hot showers. There are dishwashing areas both in laundry room and outside warden's office.
Locals do come down in cars to fish at night but again, are friendly and never a problem.
There are plenty of pubs in Bervie and a Co-op plus the best pies in the world from the local butcher. There is a chippy both in Bervie itself as well as one in nearby Gourdon.
Stone beach at the site but we love to collect wood and have a campfire at night.
There are dolphins to see in the bay and lots of ducks and swans and herons to see in the river.
There is a swing park and sports hall beside site plus local bowling green.
Great site for kids and adults alike and would recommend it for everyone.

We only stayed one night as we were touring, but it suited well enough and was relatively cheap. An odd site. I strongly advise anyone in a motorhome or caravan to book, as there's an overhead gantry at the narrow entrance lane and the warden is only part time (in the evening just there briefly to take the site fees). Cars can go underneath. We phoned ahead, and were told how to open the gantry and allocated an EHU pitch to go to (on the middle terrace in the middle of the residential statics. These permanent residents are all extremely friendly.)
We watched in dismay as a foreign motorhome arrived, couldn't open the gantry, no warden on site; someone helpfully opened the gantry and pointed them down to the lower grass campsite, but they and a following motorhome both drove round the field looking in vain for EHUs -it looked like chaos
Toilet block very dated, but adequate. Gents had a key pad, so my husband couldn't use it until the warden arrived and we got the number. (Ladies keypad wasn't working.) Shingle beach beyond the grass camping field below is no good for dog walking, but there's a pleasant walk on the former railway line to Gourdon with its wee harbour and fresh fish shop.

This is our 2nd trip to this campsite last year we were in a tent, now we upgraded to a camper. We stayed for two nights £15 per night with electric. Toilets & showers are kept very clean although could do with an update. Pebble beach just a step away very nice. Also the bowling green is at the campsite entrance if that's what you are into. Very laid back site, we only spoke to warden once but she is very nice. Play park & leisure centre on site.
Four pubs in Inverbervie all are very nice, we ate at The Salutation very nice food. Bervie chipper is handy but a bit pricey. Also Chinese take away / Indian takeaway & restaurant.

Excellent camp site!
We arrived at 8:30pm to find a security height-restricting barrier in place. Having sea-kayaks on the roof of the car meant we couldn't get in - but upon phoning the warden's number on the notice board, she was there within minutes, let us in and made us feel very welcome.
An occupant of the static vans was also very helpful and welcoming.
The site was very tidy, clean and it's location was excellent; being close to the sea.
The pitches were flat and neatly mown. Floodlights made pitching an easy chore - the lights went off at midnight so weren't intrusive.
As mentioned, the showers were clean and there was plenty of hot water.
Four of us in two tents paid a total of £16 - superb value. We'll definitely return.
