Spent 3 nights at this site and really liked it (although with a few reservations) The touring bit is down from the statics right next to the river and separated from the beach by a bank of stones - lovely and quiet, happy to just watch the ducks and swans! The toilets look very dated but are clean and the showers are hot, powerful and free. However its quite a trek to empty the waste water and chemical loo as you have to drag them uphill to where the toilets are - also I got caught out emptying the chemical loo after dark as there don't seem to be lights in either of the places to empty them (take a torch!) There is only 1 pot washing sink (again, up the hill next to the toilets)
The second night we were there several cars came down and parked - some had fishermen in which was ok but I wasn't very happy about the other one as no-one got in or out and it was there for about 2 hours - also there seemed to be a lot of children obviously from the town hanging about mainly in the area where the toilets are - I must admit I do like an on-site warden especially when the site is right next to the town. The lady who took our money is lovely and a mine of information.
The town has a Co-op, bakery and butchers and you musnt miss the Bervie chipper which does a wonderful haddock supper. There is also a nice walkway/cycle path from the car park along to the next village of Gourdon (1 mile)which is flat and further on to Johnshaven (4 miles) - didn't do this bit so cant say if it was suitable for bikes but it was a lovely walk
Thought it very reasonable for £14 per night.

Small but good community run non profit making site, toilets were spotless and entry was by a code we stayed 3 days and had a great time. It is a very basic site next to a pebble beach and very quiet the leIsure centre is right next door. There is also a play park next to the site as well.
The town itself has a few pubs plus the usual other shops. At £12 a night all inclusive you cant complain.
Will be visiting it again

Pleasant site in the middle of Inverbervie village next to the leisure centre. The village itself has a several small shops and a pub. This is is a community owned site which has just been taken over from the local council who have obviously neglected it for many years. The new owners are making a great efforts to improve the facilities which although dated and in need of improvement are kept spotlessly clean. The site has free shower and a laundry room and hook up are provided. The small grassed camping area is fronted by a pebble beach and small river estuary frequented by many birds, including swans and herons and is over looked by a few static vans. The site has a visiting warden whose times seem at best infrequent and random and I suspect many leave without paying. We were later informed that to obtain the key for the facilities if the warden is not around to ask in the Queens Head in the main street. Fishing from the beach seems popular but local bylaws prevent fishing on Sundays. Spent 2 nights at this site would definitely return at £9 per unit it is good value and with the efforts being made by the community things can only improve.

What a delight, campsite has the most fantasic views. The toilet block is basic but clean and very hot water all the time which was free. The children had access to the park, which they really enjoyed. The warden was extremely helpfuly in local and surrounding knowledge. There is a local co-op 2 mins away and a good fish and chip shop and a very good restarant within walking distance. The tent field was very spacious with limit electric hook-up if required. highly recommend this site.
