 A nice, clean site with friendly owners. It's very easy to find, just off the A12, and is a good location for the surrounding villages. It's a quiet site, apart from an occasional train and is not overrun by children. Drums are provided to put your BBQ on and drinking water taps are scattered around. The showers are really powerful and always hot.
My only complaints are the countless "Do Not." notices dotted around and you don't get anything for free. There is a little hairdryer in the ladies (20p a time) but it would be good to have access to a plug socket. The lake means there are loads of flies but the view makes up for it. Finally, the small kitchen does not have a door so is full of cobwebs and the occasional creepy-crawly.

We were just looking for a stop over when we pulled into this caravan park.
It is a lovely very peaceful site. There is a huge lake which a lot of the caravans overlook and a walk around the lake takes you to a small play area with swings.
The site has a lot of caravans there for the season and everyone I saw was extremely helpful and friendly.
I thought it might not be the right site for my family as I was worried the children's noise would bother those fishing. With older children or adults this is a nice place to stay.
There was a clean, well lit and (mostly) spider free block with toilets, showers, dishwashing and laundry facilities. The showers were hot and very powerful and the washing machine did a great job on our post Galstonbury mud!
There was a tap between every 2-3 van's and a TV point wth the EHU.
I thought it was quite expensive at £16.50 off season, but I should imagine those who like to fish would love it.
The site encouraged recycling and had different bins etc for this.
