This was a really lovely site. We only stayed for 2 nights but wished we'd had time to stay longer! We were greeted by friendly staff who spoke good English. We paid for the site wifi which was very good.
The facilities were spotless and are well laid out. You pay 50cents for a 5min token for the showers which is plenty of time. There are laundry facilities and also a dog shower that we took advantage of!
The bus stop into Arnhem is right outside the site and we had no problem taking our cocker spaniel on. The town was very nice to wander round.
The site is surrounded by woods with lots of walks to do. The site was very quiet and relaxing

We had a lovely smiling welcome from the owners, The site is clean and tidy with very clean showers/toilets. The pitch we were on was grass, with ehu and a tap within 5 metres, play area for children and a well observed speed limit so kids could play freely. We walked to Oosterbeek to the Airborne cemetery and onwards to the museum, about an hours walk, then walked to Arnhem and got the bus back to right outside the site. Price for the pitch was for 2 nights: E43. 90, that was 1 van 2 people, 4 shower tokens at 60 cents each and 24 hours wifi at E3. 50. Would we use again? Most definitly.

I was going to write a review but after reading all the wonderful reviews already on here I can't really add very much other than to say that I totally agree with everything that has beens said. This site is an absolute gem. The setting is stunning surrounded by fields and forest, the owners are the most friendly and helpful I've come across and everything is provided - including the dog wash! We came across it 3 years ago and have been coming back here ever since. We'd love to go off and explore other parts of the Netherlands but this site, and the area in general, keeps drawing us back. It really is one of the best campsites we've ever come across.

Just wanted to let people know about this lovely site. We visited with another couple in their motor home and stopped for 2 nights. The facilities were clean and tidy and the owners (who were very friendly and helpful) had thought about everything to cater for everyone who stayed on the site, whether young or old, camping or caravanning. We stayed in low season but there were still plenty of units there and I imagine in high season this popular site would be packed.

I agree heartily with all of the comments made in the previous post (although the toilets are segregated into male & female, there was a sign at the end of each side)
On arrival you are given a map showing free pitches & you can chose which one you would like. Not all pitches are as big as UK ones, so chose carefully. We were very lucky & managed to find a corner plot for our larger caravan.
We have a dog & the adjacent HUGE woods were a fabulous place to walk him, they also held great 'camp' building & tree climbing opportunities for our 13yr old son. We also did a couple of longer walks through the woods following the very clearly marked posts. There is a map in the car park opposite the camp entrance showing the different routes.
Burgers Zoo is well worth a visit & a discount ticket can be bought at the campsite which also enables you fast track entry.
The Hotel Trix restaurant (turn right out of camp & walk down to crossroads at the main rd) serves food of really exceptional quality & offers a fixed price menu & the local pancake house is also worth a visit serving savoury & sweet varieties.
We also took the bus into Arnhem, which is a pleasant large town full of cafés & has a good local food market on Saturdays. Sonsbeek Park is beautiful & can be reached easily by bike or No 2 trolley bus from stop near crossroads by Hotel Trix.
As part of our dogs passport regulation we had to visit a vet for a checkup & worming tablet before we could return. There is one in Oosterbeek, 10 mins in the car, who speaks fluent English. Cost was approximately €30. We also took the opportunity to visit the war graves nearby.
In conclusion Camping Warnsborn is a beautiful & well run campsite which is centrally placed allowing you to visit other parts of the country easily.
Important note! The campsite takes UK credit cards but the majority of supermarkets & other shops in the Netherlands do not accept UK credit cards so take lots of cash

We have just returned from a 17 night trip to Camping Warnsborne in Arnhem. It is an excellent quiet campsite and set in a beautiful and sheltered woodland location. The pitches were a good size and flat. It was especially nice that there were screened areas with hedges and trees which provided a lovely secluded feel.
The facilities are first class. With experience of about 30 + sites I can safely say that the toilet and kitchen facilities are the cleanest I have ever come across. The toilets and showers are unisex which actually worked really well. (I never had to queue once). There is even a dog shower! The washbasins were segregated and in both the male and female areas there were closed cubicles if needed. These too were also immaculate. Drinking water taps were plentiful and a cooking area and freezer was free to use in the kitchen area. There is a 5 euro token washing and a 1. 5 euro token drier which were both Miele. (quite expensive but they washed and dried everything well). The shower token for 60 cents gave a good 5 minute hot shower in a clean and well thought out space with hooks, bench and the sometimes forgotten shelf for your shampoo. Recycling is expected and there are different bins for paper and bottles. The shop stocks a limited but satisfactory range of convenience items like milk and rolls. Gas, toys, sweets and icecreams can also be purchased and they did have some nice Dutch souvenirs. The reception area is lovely and there are some benches where you can sit and enjoy a coffee.
The owners run the campsite effectively and efficiently. They were friendly and helpful and made you feel really welcome. Our five year old learned to ride a bike on the site thanks to a number of junior cycles which were free to use each day. He also loved to borrow the free pedal go-karts. The play area was also fine, safe and well maintained.
We visited Arnhem via a bus which stopped near the site. There are loads of places to visit and the campsite had maps and leaflets for each of these. Reception also apparently offer discounts to some of these (although we only found this out from other campers). I would highly recommend this site to trekkers, tourers or family campers. It seems to cater for everyone and was a pleasure to visit.

This is our second visit to this wonderful site, which we have decided is our favourite in Europe. The site is in a great location, just outside Arnhem, cycling distance to the amazing Hoge Veluwe National Park, and the truly fabulous Berger's zoo, as well as the WW2 sites. It's surrounded by woodland with plenty of walks and cycle routes, with handy maps to borrow from reception.
The owners must have been campers because the site has absolutely everything you want, if you even think 'it would be great if there was. ' it'll be there, from the laundry baskets to the baby bath, hot water dispenser with buckets, outside kitchen.
Everything is immaculate, the toilets are all in individual cubicles so no need to worry about arriving when they are closed for cleaning, there are plenty of showers (60 cents for 5 mins of lovely hot water), wash basins, a library, table tennis, bikes and go carts to hire, and a play area. Yet it feels calm, peaceful and very well cared for.
We stayed for 3 nights last year, and hadn't planned to come back but decided to call in and ended up staying another 5 this year, and we'd go back again. The owners are friendly and helpful, and speak good english. You can order bread from reception, which also has a small shop selling essentials.
Motorhome owners note - the service point has an amazing array of equipment so whatever van you have you will be able to reach the grey water point !

Our first visit to the Netherlands. Friendly welcome, shown to good pitch; level with grass and plenty of space. There are plenty of trees around to give shade; though I suspect that if the weather was very wet it might get a bit muddy.
Washblocks have shower tokens but give loads of hot water and are kept clean. Washing up sinks have free hotwater tap adjacent.
We didn't need it but they have a small kitchen area so if you are lightweight camping (eg: with a bike) there is somewhere to cook food + a fridge.
Off road bike ride into Oosterbeek where there is a supermarket, or short drive into Arnhem itself.
WWII stuff 'a bridge too far' is worth visiting, our teenage children enjoyed the museum.

Two weeks on this site proved idyllic. A superb site with world class facilities and the cleanest toilets and showers ever seen. There is even a shower area for dogs. Disabled facilities for my wife were perfect.
Camping areas were well laid out with plenty of open space even though there plenty of trees to give some wind protection around the outside perimeters of camping fields.
Good play areas for children in each camping area with loads of free toys and bikes for them to use. Lightweight campers or even tent campers in inclement weather were well catered for with a special undercover cooking area complete with two burner stove, freezer and pots and pans provided. There was even an indoor room with books and games and a T. V. Some books in English.
Additionally the site shop and office was well appointed with all the main food items available. Bread was individually ordered by campers as required for pick up the next morning.
Finally thanks to site owners for being so pleasant and helpful. By the way the Arnhem area is well suited for a busy holiday with plenty of great attractions in the near area.
Our favourite town to regularly visit for shopping and relaxation was Oosterbeek but in two weeks we must have missed many other equally charming places.
