Just thought I would post an updated review of this campsite.
We stayed here from 15th - 19th September 2011 as a group in individual (one man) tents. The site was used as a base for the 67th battle of Arnhem anniversary.
New owners since our last visit, both most helpful and both speak perfect English. The shop has more items for sale and the site has a bigger and better childs play area. Apart from that nothing has changed mush Great site with very good facilities and close enough to get to Arnhem by bus (Number 21 just outside the site or trolley bus 2 a short 15 minute walk up the hill opposite the Shell petrol station. )
This site is 'our' preferred stop over when in the Arnhem/Oosterbeek area.

This campsite was small and very neat and tidy. There was free hot water apart from the showers which were 60 cents for ample hot water and there were free cooking facilities and pans and a small but well-stocked library.
This was the only indoors communal area. There was bike hire and unlimited local information and help from the really great couple who run the site.
It's a long walk (30 mins) or a short bike ride to the town of Arnhem which is a beautiful and historically really interesting town. There is also a bus stop nearby.
Very near to the campsite are beautiful woods to walk in and the Airborne museum and the Openluchtmuseum. These museums are both fantastic and I am not normally interested in museums!
There was ample space on this well laid out campsite and the ground was excellent quality (no sharp stones). It was very friendly indeed but quiet in the night!
I recommend this campsite very highly!

I have been visiting this site every year since 2004, when I took my father to see where his brother had fought during the war.
The site was then, as it is now, a very friendly site with clean level pitches for caravans and motor homes, there is a lovely separate area for tents.
The toilet and shower blocks are spotlessly clean with loo paper provided. The camp site is set in the most beautiful woodland that's maintained to a high standard by the forestry commission.
Arnhem is a short bus ride away and is full of interesting places to visit.
The local area is well worth exploring and this makes a great and relaxing base from which to do it! I'll be back there this September to remember the fallen, and meet old and new friends!

Booked this site whilst on our way from France to Denmark. The site was easy to find using the postcode in the sat nav. We arrived late but the owners were on hand to show us to our pitch.
The pitch was large and had a good view of the site that is situated in a wooded area. The site was of a high quality with good shower blocks(token required).
There was a small play area for the children and ping pong table. Cycles were available for hire from reception( 6 euros per day).
Even though we did not visit any of the attractions, there was a zoo within a mile and also the national outdoor museum.
I have no problems in recommending this site. If in the Netherlands again then 'we will be back'.

Lovely site reasonably priced and lots of nice features - toilet paper provided and lots of hot water for washing up as well and hairdryer and camping stove and pots and pans supplied for your use
Nice to have your car close to your tent also
Friendly helpful staff who were very good when we broke down in our car on the site and spoke to the garage for us
The site was a little far from the centre if walking but cycles to rent were readily available or bus every 30 minutes
Will recommend to friends and certainly go again

Visited this site for 6 days for the 65th arnhem airborne celebrations solely based on previous reviews even though they were 3 years old. In a word, fabulous! Its a very very pretty area, full of trees. Not flat as a pancake as you'd expect from Holland. But the whole area is superb. We're in our 40's and enjoy cycling, drinking wine and chilling out, but at the same time like to be near to a bit of action if we feel the need. And this was perfect.
The city of Arnhem was a real shock. We expected a concrete jungle thinking that the whole place had been blitzed in ww2 but it was very cosmopolitan. We particularly enjoyed the cafe culture. From the site the centre is only 10 mins and only 2 euros by local bus which stops 100 yards outside the site extremely efficient. The position of the site is wonderful. The site itself is;
1. Level- easy to set up. 2. Showers are wonderful- 5 mins for 60 cents, but worth it. 3. Pitches are very generous. 4. Everything is well tendered and the owners very helpful.
As you've probably gathered I cant recommend it enough. Having spoken to British regulars who have stayed at other sites in the area, this one's by far the best. You wont be disappointed

I camped here in 2006 I think most of us say we'd never camp after the service.
I absolutely loved it on this site and so much around you to see, the weather was great, so great that we both come back with a forehead like rocky road all burnt as we both expected it to be raining like Manchester lol.
We went to all the parades, services and a few bars, the buses were all on time and was really humbled to have you there.
I truly have not experienced such a great historic place with so many friendly people surrounding you.
Thank you so much to the people and workers on this camp site.

Spent a week at "Camping Warnsborn" the very last week in August.
On arrival we were met by the excellent English speaking owners, and directed to our pitch (which we had already been given when we booked anyway). A good reception area with small shop and internet access if needed was available.
The pitch was a good size, and despite the fact they get a lot of rain, was not boggy so drainage must be pretty good. We were the only British people on the site, which was actually really nice!
Facilities were excellent, plenty of toilets/showers and a large washing up area. The playarea was a hit with the children, as there were bikes to borrow and you could also borrow go-karts.
The site was large but not massive, and bordered onto some woods which was great for afternoon walks.
We decided to get the bus into Arnhem rather than drive, easy as the bustop is only a very short walk up the road from the site. The owners helped us out with the bus timetable in fact they couldn't do enough for us. Arnhem is a very nice town, with plenty of restaurants, shops and don't' forget to try the fresh 'Stroopwaffels' from the stroopwafel shop!
Lots of places to visit in the vicinity including deHoge Veluwe national park (you can pick up a 'free' white bike to ride), lots of zoos and museums etc. The 'OpenAir Museum' is a must!
I hope to return to Warnsborn one day again.

August 2004 this is certainly a lovely area with lots to see and do. Arnhem is a nice town itself with a cobbled central area with lots of cafes with outside seating. there is an open air swimming pool in town and the open air museum is fantastic you are right on the rhine and the whole area town and countryside is great for cycling.

September 2004 We visited this site as a base camp for the 60th anniversary events for the Arnhem Airborne 'bridge too far' attack.
We did check out other sites in the area but this one had been used by one of our party before and to be honest it seemed like the best anyway.
Ok reception is a small office that contains a shop that sells a few essential items. Here you will meet the owners who will share a joke with everyone. Very, very nice couple.
Lots of places for tourers, motorhomes and tents. We had the trusty Coleman trispace and were shown to the camping area. "Anywhere you like" said the owner so we were left to it.
The site has a childrens play area with swings and sandpit etc, bikes are also available for kids free of charge. There is no club or pool so a quiet time is possible :-)
The showers are good and hot (tokens from shop) and are times to last 5 minutes. The loos are all UK standard and loo paper is provided. Sinks etc are all very clean. The washing up sinks also have 'scrubbing' brushes and pads provided. There is even a cooking area where a double burner ring and brand new pots and pans are available for use.
The area itself is fantastic. If you love walking/cycling then this is an area for you. Forests and more forests. footpaths through them are both tarmac and shale. Cycle lanes are everywhere with there own traffic light systems.
The camp site is nearer to Oosterbeek than Arnhem itself but both are nice places to visit.
Right then the Dutch people....... Well we never met a bad one anywhere. They all spoke excellent English and seemed quite proud that they could hold a conversation in 'your' language.
Before this trip the Netherlands was a holiday destination that would never have crossed my mind at all. Not so now.
If you can answer yes to these two questions then you have found a good site/place to visit. 1. Would you go again? 2. Would you recommend this place to your best mate?
Well camping Warnsborn/Oosterbeek get two very big YES's. Kind regards Graham
