The site is a nice big flat space and it is very secure with the amount of barriers to get in. There is a pond with ducks &c. Which is nice (although watch out for electric fence). There were also 2 very cute dogs which the owners have running about.
It has a portacabin with one shared toilet and shower. Thankfully there was no-one there otherwise there would have been a queue.
No fires are aloud on the grass. You have to hire a half-metal barrel. You have to pay a daily charge on this.
If you are in a large group, expect to pay more to save a space, even if they have no other guests.
Be careful of hidden charges, the owners need to be a bit more friendly with people querying this.
Very expensive compared to other campsites. I will not be returning.

Had an excellent weekend camping here. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. The site is very quiet, and is basically one big very flat field - surrounded by beautiful green countryside. The amenities are basic, but more than adequate for our needs. There was loads of space for the children to run around safely without bothering other campers or getting too close to their tents. The fact that a microlite and 2 paramotors used the field to take off and land in was a real bonus - and was perfectly safe as we had loads of warning. Only a half hour drive from Chessington World of Adventures, too! Definitely using this site again.

The chap who ran the site was really nice and welcoming.
We wanted to see Shere - film set of The Holiday - Homestead Farm Camp Site sounded idylic - but quaint it was NOT, no farmhouse in sight - just a site with bric a brac mess and old tyers - The toilet and shower were in a porta cabin - with a step up on slippery formica - the cost for one adult and three children, late October, was quoted at £20.00 - £5.00 more initially than one of the Camping Club of Great Britian sites. Although I did get a reduction on the phone before going of £4.00.
The field was flat and the country side looking out from all but one angle was pretty - and the man who ran the site was a really nice man.
I write this review so other people can make a choice based on how things are, rather than based on the picturesque, idylic farm setting you may have conjured up.
The owners need to refresh the details.

We (2 adults and 4 children (10,6,2 and 8 months)) went on the last bank holiday weekend in May and stayed for 3 nights. The site owners were very friendly and helpful. There is no on site shop, not even within walking distance. But there is a huge 24 hour Tescos about 7-10 minutes drive away. No playground, but a football goal and a lot of open space. Portacabin with loo and shower and information leaflets about the area. This appears to be a new venture for the owners and we wish them well. Its a good site for a weekend away close to London. We will return to this site.

Fantastic site! Large open field, quiet & relaxing. Barry and June are fantastic hosts, very friendly and helpful. This site has become our 'home from home'. Nice walks / cycles in the area. A great place to relax and unwind. Toilet and shower is always clean

I stayed here for one night on my way down to Devon. The site is at the end of a very long, dusty and bumpy lane. It does afford splendid views of the surrounding countryside. However, I will not be going back to this site. Firstly it has the capability of being a very busy site, 100 pitches. Having this capability renders one toilet and one shower for everyone, woefully inadequate. The owners dog is free to wander and therefore free to mess where he pleases which wasn't cleaned up. I think the area is popular with aircraft enthusiasts indeed in the middle of the field is a landing area for helicopters, and our late evening was disturbed by a circling helicopter for about half an hour. Not the owners fault I know but it happened. Lastly I thought this place was expensive as our basic pitch in a tent with two adults was £12 and considering what was provided I thought it was a bit steep. In my opinion, there would need to be a big investment of renovation and money to warrant my using this site again.

July 2005 Excellent flat mown feild with great views overlooking the countryside. Close to Guildford and Farnham. Several supermarkets closeby. Site owner(Barry) helpful - you can spot him easily in the Blue overalls!!!! Dog friendly site as long as they are ok with ducks due to there being a Duck pond! Parents of younger children should be aware. Clean shower /toilet+Toilet emptying point. Ideal site to hold a caravan/camping rally - loads of space!! If the weather is right you may be lucky like us and see the boys flying!! Paramotors. We even got to see a crash(pilot ok, machine not!!)Not difficult to find, the last part being on a gravel road, no pot holes- well maintained. We had a super weekend and will definatly be booking again!
