Wonderful stay at this friendly seaside site in early April (not a drop of rain!). Very green, with bushes / trees separating good-sized pitches.
Our children (ages 7 and 3) loved the large playground. While we were there, a marquee set up with free bouncy castle. Used heated, covered swimming pool every day (in summer there are two others outside with slides).
Excellent facilities: Toilets, showers spotless, plenty of washing up sinks.
It is a 5-minute stroll to sea, where you can see oyster beds, and visit beach. Short drive to Ile aux Moines, and various other Brittany goodies. Already planning to return!

Fabulous site, highly recommended.
The description of all the facilities is already listed in the previous review below.
I just want to add how friendly, clean and relaxing the site is. Lovely green landscape with plenty of trees, planting and shade. Great location for visiting the area and the beautiful city of Vannes.
Just beware that if you are enjoying yourselves in the play or bar area, all the lights go out suddenly at 11pm. No bad thing as it is silent at night. But if you are in the middle of a game of boules!
Safe and friendly for children. Great pool that you can actually swim in. Mainly French families whilst we were there with some Dutch. Brilliant because pool was empty during their long lunch break (12 - 3). In fact all the attractions in the area are quiet then.
One negative is that it is very expensive in high season.
Would definitely go again.

On arrival at the site we found the reception staff to be friendly and helpful (and they spoke better English than we did French!).
Our pitch was smaller than we had expected, we did manage to pitch our Vermont XL but the guylines were pegged down under the surrounding hedge and we didn't have room to peg out the front canopy. We had just enough room to set up the table and chairs for eating outside and our car was squeezed onto the front of the pitch.
The site is in two areas; there is the main area where the pool complex, shop and bar are, with pitches for tents, caravans and statics and then there is another area, across a private road which has more tent pitches with a few statics. The area across the road had larger, shadier pitches than on the main site but the toilet and shower facilities were not as good as on the main section.
The shower and toilet facilities in the main site were very good. Toilets in one part and private wash cubicles and showers in another. The hot water was plentiful and everything was cleaned regularly.
The pool area was excellent, very clean, our boys loved the waterslides, plenty of sunloungers.
There were also table tennis tables, petanque, basketball and an indoor games room.
There is a bar area and small shop. The shop only sold basic provisions but had fresh baguettes throughout the day and croissants every morning.
It is a short walk from the site to the beach and you can continue along the beach into Arradon which takes about 30 minutes to walk. Market in Arradon is good with lovely fruit, cheeses, crafts.
5 minute drive to Vannes, lovely medieval walled city.
Overall, this is a quiet site, well maintained and clean with good facilities. I would have no hesitation in recommending this site.

We had almost 2 weeks here and it was our first trip across the channel. We didn't get great weather which ruined the idea of spending time around the pool. On the odd sunny day, the pool was great, the beach was scenic but not a sandy beach. Walk a few hundred yards around the corner and you will find a much better beach, lots (I mean lots) of crabs in the shallow water, take care.
In May, it seemed the site wasn't fully operational. No outside BBQ, shop was pretty much empty etc.
Staff were very pleasant and helpful.
We found the site a little out of the way but a short drive would get you to some lovely parts of France.
We under estimated the journey time from Calais and this took some time for us to recover. If visiting again, we would go a little later than May.

Just got back from a 2 week fantastic stay at this site. Our first Brittany campsite. I choose it from "this" site and read all the reviews, I was not disappointed. 3 swimming pools kept the kids (5 and 7 ) fully occupied on relaxing days and the local sites filled in the rest. The shop was small and understocked really, although the french bread was freshly baked, but the local town of Arradon (market Tuesday) was excellent. Toilets were cubicle for both sexes and cleaned twice a day and had ample toilet paper (some sites you have to take your own!). Staff were very friendly even though we spoke poor french, they helped me with lending a euro-connector for the electrics. Go for the 10amps option, as we found the demand in the evening required it.Local beach was small but great shell finding at low tide!. Vannes was wonderful, free park and ride down by the "Parc de gulf" end of the town. On the whole we were delighted and will book again next year as still loads to see and do, this site is planning a new covered heated pool for next season with a sauna etc. Can't wait!

Visited last week of July/first week of August 2005.
As this was our first visit to a French campsite, we arrived armed with a pre-conceived idea of how excellent the facilities were going to be. We were not disappointed. Our pitch was spacious, surrounded on 3 sides with chest-height hedges, and had water, drainage and a 10 amp electricity supply. The campsite was very leafy, and apart from being nice to look at, the trees gave lots of shade in the (too few) days when the sun shone down. The pool area was excellent, very clean and well-maintained, with various slides and water-chutes – there is a toddler pool, with water plume and slide which our 4 year-old adored; a 1.5m-3m deep pool; and a deep, plunge pool at the base of the slides. The bar/shop was adequate for our needs, and supplied fresh bread and pastries every morning. The laundry had 3 token-operated washing machines and tumble dryers – which you are best using early in the morning as later in the day there is usually a queue – and an ironing board. The games area was a major hit for our three kids (15, 8 and 4) – an enclosed football pitch (lit until 11:00pm), covered table tennis tables, petanque pitches, and a super play area with great slides/climbing frame type equipment. The older kids hung around the football pitch, chatting and making friends, and the evenings were certainly the highlight of the whole trip for our two oldest. There was a ‘silence after 11:00’ rule which worked very well, and nights were quiet. Visitors to the site were predominately French, with an equal smattering of Dutch, Belgian and British. It was a short’ish walk to the beach, which had lovely views over the Golfe du Morbihan, but was rather small. The toilets/showers were very good, and were cleaned at least once a day – however, the showers did get rather mucky at times, which I think was mainly due to mud/grass brought in on people’s shoes, on rainy days. Overall, the campsite deserves it’s 4 stars and we would recommend the site to anyone, particularly families.
The area of the Golfe du Morbihan was excellent too, scenery beautiful and historically fascinating. Nearby Arradon was very pleasant (boats can be hired at the marina here), slightly further afield was Vannes – captivating mediaeval town – and Auray, which was utterly charming. Altogether a lovely part of Brittany, and of France.

August 2005 We just got back! It was really nice. The pitches were of a good size and had hedges between each one. We booked one with elec and water right by the pitch. The toilet and shower block was clean all the time. There were baby baths available. There were washing machines and dryers if you wanted. The pool and slides were clean and well maintained although no lifeguards so it's up to you to supervise your own kids. Some entertainment in the evenings like a Crepe meal or a typical french meal. Also pizza van came on tues evening. Lovely playpark for the kids in constant shade. Very helpful staff. Beautiful surroundings. Nice beach but don't go down at high tide because then there is only about 10ft of beach to sit on! Kids found lots of lovely shells and some French poeple gave us closed cockles and told us how to prepare them to eat - which we did - they were good with garlic butter! Overall a very nice family friendly site. Definately recommend and wouldn't hesitate to go back.
