Nice quiet site yet still close enough to town to walk
Had a nice grass pitch although the hard standing pitches looked very close together and like a big car park
Strangely I couldn't park my Isuzu pick up next to caravan on the grass as it was deemed to be too heavy although there were fairly large campers on the same grass that would have been much heavier
That aside staff were friendly and place was spotless, would happily return in the future

Lovely site, quiet and good facilities. Play area not great but it didn't matter as just down the road is the fabulous play area in Stair Park.
The site is handy for town and also the beach and other play ground in Agnew Park.
Only wish we could have stayed longer as the kids loved it.

Absolutely loved it here. The owners were friendly and welcoming and always had a smile.
The facilities are spotless. The owners were constantly cleaning the communal areas and they worked so hard to keep the place immaculate.
The showers are powerful and strong and the site is quiet and well kept.
The site is about a mile away from Stranraer so is a nice walk into town.
Loved it and would definitely return.

A lovely site. Close to Stranraer town centre.
Shower/toilet block open and spotlessly clean.
Very pleasant and informative owner.
Would highly recommend a visit.

Easy to find and handy for the ferries,
The hard standing is just that it's a bit like a big car park,
Facilities not bad but a bit cold as there seemed to be no heating,
There also seemed to be extras for things a'la Carry on Camping.
Although we go to Ireland a lot probably wont stop here again.

I have just returned from an enjoyable stay at this campsite. It is close to Stranraer so very convenient for supermarkets etc.
The facilities and grounds are impeccable and the pitches spacious and flat. There is also a covered Cook House, invaluable for rainy days.
Although the site is close to town it is quiet at night and felt rural.
I used the site as a base for walking the Mull of Galloway Trail. Local transport to the various villages on the trail was easily accessible from the site.
It is also close to Stranraer Rail Station.

This is a large site with hard standings and grass, if it rains which it does even in summer a bit doggy if your van weighs 3 ton. If your are on route to Belfast ferry, then this is a good stopover.
The town is only 1 mile away and it has all the main names Tesco, morrisons, argos and the like, as well as coffee and places to visit.
The site is current at £20 per night and the site is very clean and tidy, everyone is friendly and after being here for a week, it is a shame to go.
