Excellent views from the pub terrace and even better when the sun shines (as it was for us) Good beer, good food, friendly landlord. Had a good long weekend and the dogs enjoyed it as well! The camp field is flat and level, with a cold water supply and sink, shower and toilet available at the side of the pub. Nice and friendly and will be going back sometime this year.

Backpacked in on a Saturday evening.Small camp field behind the pub and it was quiet - I was the only person on the site !
Nice pub with good range of beers. Changing owners on 11th August so best to check if camping is still available. Due to change of ownership there was not any food available- lucky I brought my own !.
Basic facilities - cold water supply and sink on field, shower (free) and toilet at side of pub.

Two years almost since I have been to this site and it was well worth a return visit. It was quiet but then it is a small site anyway. While respecting other peoples views and experiences I have to say that I have always found Jim the landlord very accommodating and friendly. A great little site for people who want quite and no complications.

Nice location but poor facilities, which have been deteriorating year on year. Quiet site with only a couple tents most of the time, though if my experience with the manager is anything to go by this is not surprising. No hookups, single open sink with cold water for dish-washing and leaking toilet with no soap or paper. Only thing for the kids to play with is a trailer of builders waste which has been there for at least three years.

This is a small site located behind a great unspoilt old pub with a good resturant. It has a tap and sink on the site and a toilet and shower built into the pub but accesssible 24 hours. Mainly has tents there. Really quite site and the pub is a small stagged away. Serves a good choice of beer including excellent real ale sometimes served straight from the barrel. The landlord Jim is a cracking bloke and the regulars are really friendly. There are plenty of good walks around. There aren't any hook ups at the present but Jim does have plans for future development, although it would be a shame to modernise too much. The pub was renovated in the 18th century and has a tasteful addition from recent years. Has a nice terrace with excellent views. Dogs are welcome in the pub which is unusual these days.
