We've camped at this site several times over recent years. It has several pluses, these are it's location, close to Blakeney, and other fantastic places along the Norfolk coast such as Cley and Wells. It's quite small, and doesn't tend to have large rowdy parties. It's also great for families, and children make friends quickly, (well ours did!).
It's downsides, unfortunately are that its facilities are very limited, and could be improved fairly easily. There is no hot water for washing up, meaning that we used up a lot of gas heating water. There is a charge for charging your phone, or freezing freezer blocks, which other campsites don't usually charge for, and there is no shelter over the washing up sink. I don't want to gripe too much as the owner is so friendly, but feel these are worth pointing out, as we've been to several other campsites lately which provide a lot more facilities for about the same price.
For eating, I'd recommend the chippy at Salthouse, and the King's Arms (I think) in Blakeney. There are lots of other lovely places to eat, but be prepared for London prices! Holt is great for shopping, it's only a small town, but you can easily spend a day there! For rainy days, the National Trust properties, Felbrigg Hall and Blickling Hall aren't too far away. The deli in Blakeney is very good, and makes yummy sausage rolls!

This is a lovely site, convenient for exploring the North Norfolk coast. It was quite busy over the Bank Holiday weekend, with lots of children on site, so it wasn't particularly quiet in the early mornings or daytime. However, once it got dark it was lovely and quiet (apart from one child on one night!) with hardly any road noise.
The toilets and showers were clean and well stocked with loo roll and soap, and in spite of the number of people on site, we never had to queue.
If pressed to make a criticism, it would be that the washing up sink only had cold water, (but it was right next door to the toilet/shower block, so you could get hot water from there if you had a bowl or bucket)and it was out in the field with no protection from the weather at all. One has to dodge the showers enough when camping in Britain without waiting for the rain to stop to wash up!
The Bluebell pub in Langham and The King's Head in Blakeney, both within about a mile of the site, offer a good menu, lunchtime and evening, and the Spar in Blakeney has basic groceries and is open 7 days a week until quite late. There is a large, FREE car park at the village hall in Blakeney, just a short walk from the village centre and Quay. Take a torch if walking, from the campsite, to either pub in the evening - there are no pavements or street lights! (But the road isn't particularly busy!)
There are no electric hook ups, no playground or entertainment on site, so if you or your children need these, go elsewhere and leave the site for those of us who camp for peace and quiet!
Due to the lack of street lights in the area, the starry sky is wonderful, when the clouds clear enough to see it!
We paid £13 a night, (£6. 50 each for 2 adults including tent and car) which was very reasonable, but costs soon mount if you are a family; as children are £3 each and £2 is charged for a boat, extra car or Gazebo.
The owner was friendly and helpful and let us pick our own pitch. She came to our tent as we were packing up to collect payment for the whole stay, which is so much nicer than having to pay up front, or try to find somebody when you leave.
I fully intend to go back to this site, (perhaps not over a Bank holiday!)to further explore the area.

I first visited this site last year for my first camping trip with my then 3 year old daughter. We love the area, but wanted a cheaper alternative to renting a holiday cottage. We returned over the weekend for 3 nights and we really do love it. The service is excellent and whilst the facilities are basic I like the informal nature of the site where you turn up and pitch and then generally relax. The site was fairly quiet during the week, but then got quite busy over the weekend with people staying for a couple of nights. The tents are pitched mainly around the outside so children can play in the middle in full view so they are safe. Last year tents were pitched in the middle too during a busier period, but there was still plenty of space. I don't have anything to compare it to as it is the only site I have ever visited, mainly because I love the surrounding area so much, but for me it's a good site and I'd recommend it. The walk into Blakeney isn't too far, but you are walking along a quiet but fast no speed limit country road with no footpaths until you hit the village (not totally child friendly) so I tend to park in the village hall car park at the bottom of the road (free) and take the short 2 min walk to the Quay. All in all it suits us down to the ground, people tend to be in their tents just after dark and the site becomes quiet - as a previous reviewer noted, we also experienced the rather loud owl! I'd recommend.

Blakeney is a wonderful village in a truly outstanding area but I am sure all reviewers will have said that.
The campsite was just off a quite road and about a 10 minute walk away from the Quay in blakeney. There are a range of mid priced eating options (the Kings Arms offers an informal and cheaper alternative but it offers decent plates of food for very reasonable prices).
Clean toilets and showers were available and despite the dreadful weather the site had drained well and hedges and grass were very well maintained. BBQs allowed if you mount them on bricks I think they said.
The site is enclosed and safe for children but they have to make their own fun.
The owners were lovely and at £6. 50 per person we thought it represented great value. The only noise at night came from a very vocal owl.

Just stayed at this little CL for the weekend. Very clean and tidy site with short grass.
This CL has fantastic views of hills across to the sea.
When we arrived on site, we spoke to the lady in the bungalow to be informed that she only deals with tents, separate field over the back of the touring field, her mother is the person who deals with bookings of caravan but she doesn't live on site.
We had 2 caravans in our party and had to go on pitches 1 & 4, as pitches 2 & 3 were already taken by another 2-caravan party (It would be made more sense to put all parties together).
Once we were sorted, my husband got his wash stuff together to have a shower to be informed that showers and toilets are only available to people who have tents, not caravans.
At £13. 50 per night, we found this to be quite steep considering you are paying for site and EHU only, especially as this is a CL.

We wanted to avoid the busy commercial camping sites right by the coast, but still wanted to be close, and Galley Hill Farm fitted the bill perfectly.
The site is small, clean, friendly and simple. The owner was very welcoming, and the site is great value for money - we've paid much more for worse sites in the past.
The facilities were very clean too - one toilet and shower for each sex, and a disabled/family loo and shower - and we didn't have to queue.
The surrounding area is great - we loved Blakeney, Cley and Holkham. Fish and chips at French's in Wells were very good too.
In Blakeney on the road towards Cley is a 'Crab Shack' where we bought a fresh dressed crab for lunch, delicious!

Unlike previous reviewers of Galley Hill Farm, we had a pitch on the Caravan Club CL site, which was adjacent to the camping pitch site. It was clean and tidy with water, bins, and waste all handy.
The views across the fields to the sea are delightful. However, at £13. 50 per unit/two adults and £2. 00 charge for additional people, it isn't the cheapest of CLs.
There were showers on the campsite, which may have been available to us, but we were not informed and the CC book didn't mention them, so we didn't like to use them.

Two of us stayed at Galley Hill for 3 nights and despite the weather (dramatic thunderstorms!) had a lovely time. The owners were really friendly and helpful, welcoming us and suggesting ideas for nearby activities.
The toilets and showers were always clean and warm & even though there were about a dozen tents on our first night, we never had to queue for the showers. The camping field is well kept and the fees are very reasonable. Because you can camp from mid-day to mid-day you don't have to feel rushed packing up.
The location was nice and quiet, with very little noise from the nearby road. It's really convenient for the villages of Blakeney and Langham. We found everything we needed in the Blakeney Spar and had a really nice meal at the King's Head (good selection of specials and friendly locals).
The surrounding villages are very pretty and it's a lovely drive along the coast road to Sheringham (a very nice town with shops & the North Norfolk Steam Railway) and Cromer.
A great little site, we'd definitely stay here again

Stayed for a week at this quite campsite with the family and had a lovely time. The site is basically a field with a portable cabin for the bathroom. No electricity, no play area, just grass. So Proper Camping
The toilets were always clean and Sal the owner was always very helpful. The site was relatively quite, with some people just staying for a night or two, but a few families meant the Kids always found someone to play with. We've stayed at the bigger sites before, but this is what camping is all about really. We popped in to look at a site near Wells that was recommended, but it was packed and I'm so glad we came here instead.
Blakely itself is small and has a couple of pubs, but they weren't cheap. The crabbing is a good for an afternoon, but not much longer. They had a Circus there when we went, which went down well with the kids. But a lot of the time we had to drive to find something interesting. Wells next the sea is about 15 minutes away.
I'd definitely recommend the site

This is a great little campsite with the tents usually placed around the outside of a small field. This was good for me and my 2 kids as they could play safely in the middle with all the other kids and I could sit back and relax. There is a converted portacabin which contains a shower (free) and toilet for men and women and outside there is an open air washing-up sink (only cold water). The facilities were kept regularly clean by the friendly owner Sal.
Blakeney is about 3/4 mile down the road where there is a big free carpark. I recommend that you park in the carpark rather than fighting for a space down by the quay. There is also a kids playground at the back of the carpark. About a 1 minute walk from the carpark is a good Spar shop. Blakeney quay is only a couple of minutes walk from the Spar where seal boat trips can be organised and you can also pick up the coastal path around to Cley (approx 2 3/4 mile).
I would definitely visit this site again.
