Smashing site! It's a traditional site on a farm, very quiet, with good views of the surrounding countryside; quite a way from anywhere.
We arrived at the back end of July's torrential rain, just one day after the latest downpours, and it was drying out already and fine for pitching on.
Loos and showers are up near the farmhouse, a short walk through the parked caravans in their French style emplacements. They were clean and adequate, and free. Wooden or rubber floor grills would have been useful on the floor you'd just splashed, when changing afterwards.
We were there for 4 nights, and on three there were Duke of Ed. Groups on too. The owner, who was helpful & friendly, was keen to assure us he kept an eye on them, and the groups were all great.
We'd happily go there again.

Have just come back from a lovely 3 night break on this site. The tent pitches were huge and great value at £10 a night for 2 adults, 2 dogs and an 18 month old.
The free hot showers were lovely, if a little outdated, but much much better than I was expecting for the price.
The site was easy to find following their directions and was quiet and peaceful. 2 stand pipes in the camping field made life easier and it was nice to have bricks provided to put our stove on.
The recycling facilities here are good, and the owner was friendly and helpful.
I would 100% recommend this site and we plan to return next year.

Peace and quiet and a lovely view.
This is a site worth seeking out if you want somewhere completely rural and totally peaceful. There is a caravan site at the top of the field, with the most enviable positions, but for those who want to pop in for a weekend or a couple of nights, the owner has mowed the flattest bottom part of his field ready for wild campers.
We stayed a few more days after the weekend and everyone else had left, and were amazed by the silence after 11. 00pm. Up to then the bird song was stunningly beautiful, and then it all stopped and you could not hear a thing. Kind of unnerving but something special.
It's quite a drive to find the place, up lots of narrow and winding lanes, but if you want somewhere truly peaceful and unlikely to be taken over by noisy campers then this is the place for you. Cardington Village is walking distance away, and there is a very attractive old pub there though it is not open until half past six in the evening.
An idyllic place and such relaxed and friendly owner. Would like to return.

Just spent the bank holiday weekend at Ley Farm. It was a lovely couple of days, relaxing, peaceful a chance to recharge batteries.
We had Sunday dinner at the Ragleth Inn at Little Stretton, my husband thoroughly enjoyed the roast beef, the service was excellent.
We also went to Ludlow and Church Stretton, even though we have been to these towns many times before, we always enjoy the visit.
We would like to say 'thanks ' to Mr Jones for being so helpful and allocating us a pitch at such short notice (I must add it was our favourite one, we had a hol here a couple of years ago)
We will definitely be returning.

Overall good site, tiny lanes on the approach but don't let this put you off, views are lovely when you get to the site.
£8 per night for 2 adults, 2 dogs and a 4 man tent!
Toilets and shower block are slightly old fashioned - (lots of pine) but facilities are clean and showers nice and hot - perfect for after a very rainy walk!
We overheard people saying the site was a bit too basic, what can you expect for £8 a night in my opinion this site was fine - showers were free, and it had a small area for pot washing - this cost 20p but hot water lasted for a while.
There is nothing around, the nearest village is about a mile but only has a pub so for food etc the nearest place was Church Stretton approx 6 miles away but this had a co-op and spar where you can pick up everything you would need.
Overall I think this is the perfect site for walkers and people wanting to totally relax in the peace and quiet of the lovely Shropshire countryside.
We will definitely return.

Lovely site in superb area. Very clean & tidy with first class facilities. Owner extremely helpful. Plenty fine walks and the essential village pub with good food and drinks within a nice walking distance. Convenient as a touring centre to Shrewsbury, Ironbridge, and a selection of interesting attractions.
Approach a bit narrow in places but worth the effort.

A peaceful picturesque site. The owner was very helpful and accommodating. All amenities were on site for example; a shower room, a wash room, toilets and a laundry room. There is even a large field that is available for your dogs to enjoy their holiday too.
Even though it is a wonderful site for adults to unwind and relax, you will need to entertain your children yourself as there is no play area or facilities available for them. Overall, great site for adults.

We had a great time at ths campsite - really quiet - lots of space between the tents.
The facilities were fine - hot showers and clean toilets. The shower did get a bit soggy - the water never drained well, so it was hard to get dry without getting the towel and your clothes wet.
There is one tap in the camping field.
The children loved the space - a big area for cricket etc.
I think you could walk to the village to the pub - along a narrow country lane, but we didn't - as the pub was shut - on a Bank holiday (strange)
There are no shops near
Had a lovely walk up the Lawley - great views from the top

Second visit this year. Just as lovely as before and still very quiet even though all the caravan pitches were booked up for the weekend. T.V. Reception poor but good satellite picture if you use astra 2 28.2e. Toilets still very well presented and site itself well maintained. Price per pitch all in is still only £9.50 per night and dogs welcome on leads but be aware that there is livestock in the fields and that horses use the lanes. Plenty of parking (pay on meter) in Church Stretton, be wary of the parking wardens though, and public toilets plus ample provision for all shopping requirements. Church Stretton is about 10 mins away. Many of the public footpaths nearby are stiles and can be a little awkward if you have small children or dogs. Thanks to the owners for yet another relaxing peaceful stay. See you soon.

We didn't book but just turned up and weren't disappointed. It is possibly the most peaceful site I have ever been to, the only noise being the birds singing, and about four cars driving past all weekend!
We camped in the field and a regular camper kindly lent us an extension cable so we could use EHU. The pitch we had was level but others were slightly sloping. The facilities were ample and well looked after with free showers and hot water.
The site feels remote and it is a few miles to civilisation. The approach is very narrow and would be a bit scary with a caravan as it is hilly and mostly single lane with passing places, however there were several caravans on site.
We managed to get an ok tv reception on our very basic television and a signal on orange mobiles.
All in all a perfect campsite to escape from it all (and a snip at £9.50 for everything - 4 people, EHU and an awning).
Will definitely return.
