Great choice of site if you are looking for everything on your doorstep. Locals are friendly as are the manager and staff. Great pub food - lots of choice, theme nights and very well priced to suite all budgets. Pitches are large, electric hook up, two water stands and facilities for rubbish and waste disposal. Shops and a chippy very close by,5 min walk from the site. A lovely beach walk 10 ins away.
The whole area was a dream. Lovely beaches, lovely scenery lots of places to visit and as we have a dog 99% animal friendly. Great.
OK so there was only one shower, nothing can be that perfect.
We would love to go and visit again, but have been told the field has been sold for a housing development. What a shame.

Well, this had to be one of the best trips up here so far.
Although the cost of camping has increased to a staggering £8.00 per night, the weather was really nice and the people (who seem to return much more frequently than we do)make it a real
Pleasant place to be.
The restaurant was banged out all weekend and the bar did a roaring trade with campers and rig workers alike.
The one shower is always going to be a sticking point but at £8.00 a night you don't have the right to moan.
If the proprietors are reading this PLEASE PLEASE don't shut the site down.

Basic site - great if your not fused about clean and multiple loo's and showers (only 1 of each for the whole site and in the same room)No washing up facilities either
Staff and locals were great and very friendly, great pub, they had a group on Sat night who got better the more we drank lol.
Food very good and lovely beach - easy reach for Mundesley etc.
£7 a night was the rate - would not have been happy paying anymore due to the lack of facilities, but had a laugh none the less and would recommend for basic 1 or 2 night stay over.

Brilliant site Lovely large level pitch 10 minutes from beach. Poop & scoop policies on beach. Quiet beach sand & shingle, sea comes right up to sea wall at high tide.
Pitch with electric hook up £11 a night. 2 water points either side of site. Kids adventure play area. Lovely pub food take away or eat in very reasonably priced. With entertainment Friday & Saturday night. Breakfast available Saturday/Sunday morning. Carvery Wednesdays & Sundays. Well behaved dogs welcome even in bar area. No charge for dogs when camping. Shop, cafe & amusement arcade 5 minutes up the road. Very good chippy. Second pup at other end of village. 40 minutes run to Cromer or Great Yarmouth. Walcott next village down cafe, chippy etc parking by sea wall. Lovely sea view
Only down side out of hours there was only one loo which was in the one shower room. Queuing for loo while people showering a pain. Not a problem during day as use of pub loos. Elsen point & bin for rubbish provided.
We had brilliant weather & really enjoyed our stay. Family of 5 age 14+ and 2 dogs. Every one very friendly including Staff.

Stayed here for the August Bank Holiday. We were part of a party of 10. The site was pretty OK and the landlord allowed us to all be together on the overspill site which was very good. It was very handy with the pub being next door. However, there was a downside. The electrical supply was very unstable (we had power outages on two consecutive nights. The first night we had no power at all for 15 hours ruining some of our chilled food, which was a real pain) I think the reason for this was that the site was completely oversubscribed and the existing electrics couldn't cope with it. It would have also been helpful if someone had kept us up to date as to what was happening. I can only suggest that the site owner upgrades the electrics to avoid this happening again. The other slight problem was the lack of shower facilities, which has already been mentioned in previous posts. Again this needs to be upgraded to cater for the numbers on site. My suggestion is to try and get some improvements done by next season. In spite of these issues, overall, we enjoyed our stay here, and would quite happily return, especially, if improvements are made.

Nothing has changed in two years,(Except a 50p hike in camping).
I took my three boys up there with the intention of watching our beloved Spurs play Norwich and ended up with four glorious day's of sunshine.
This place is the dogs.
The new owner's are friendly as were the staff, the rig workers and the local population.
If you want a no thrills break - don't hesitate.

This is a great site that we keep on going back to (4 times so far this year).
Toilet / Shower is limited, but you also have the pub toilets to use.
Nice fairly level field far enough away from the pub for it not to cause any problems with noise. My only advice would be that TV reception is almost impossible on the left side due to high trees, fine in other areas though.
The pub itself is great, live music most weekends, fantastic Sunday Carvery and great value Fish Night on Friday's.
Bacton Stores & Fish N Chip shop are 2 minutes walk, beach is about 5 minutes and offers some nice walks.
All in all at £11 a night with Electric, no surcharges for dogs, awnings etc - this is fairly unbeatable.

We stayed on this site for 10 nights. Its great value at £9.50 a night incl elec hookup. The field is nice and flat, and the pitch size was huge! The Childrens play area was a bonus and kept our 3 yr old entertained! The only downside to this site is the shower/toilet facilities, which we expected to be better. There is only 1 shower / toilet room combined for the whole site - but it's filthy. The beach is only 10 mins walk away, and its dog friendly, as are most of the pubs in the area. If you have a van with its own shower then I would not hesitate to recommend this site, otherwise think twice! Overall though we did not have a bad holiday!

£6.50 a night end of story. The site was clean and made up of people in caravans working at the Gas Terminal who were all exceedingly friendly and polite. Hook ups were available and put the cost up to £9.50 a night. The pub had a lovely big play area for children. There was only one shower on site which was situated in the pub and because the out of hours toilet was there as well it sometimes created a problem . A shop is just across the road, as is a small amusement arcade and the beach is only a few minutes to walk, which believe me you will get to yourself regardless. My wife and three children came with me and we all survived so I will recommend this site for a nice weekend break.
