Once again we stayed at this site this bank holiday weekend and once again it was really good. Site was rather wet in caravan field but they all are this year with all the rain we have had. Site owners are very helpful and very friendly including when I broke down they offered to tow my unit to site. Thank you Andrew and co. So far this is by far my favourite site for a quiet, pleasant holiday in the lakes

This site is as the other review said a quiet rural site at end of narrow farm lane. It is sloped as stated and sure enough it is fairly basic. On the other hand it is very quiet which we love, no shops etc but who needs them you can buy whatever you need in lakes etc during day. We have stayed here a few times now and are booked for yet another visit this weekend. I can highly recommend this site if you only want basic amenities but lovely quiet surroundings with great views and real value for money. Caravans are £9 per day all inc.

Quiet rural campsite on farm on grassy slope above Appleby with lovely views. Fairly basic as you would expect but clean facilities and friendly owner (and 2 farm collie dogs!). A little far to walk into Appleby and no pub or anything in Colby if you wanted something to do on a night. Farm is a working farm set up a fairly narrow lane. We stayed for 2 nights on our way to the lake district and met our needs very well and good value for money.
