We stayed at the True Lovers Knot last week, whilst visiting the Steam Fair. The site was small and not over-packed with units. We were also able to choose our own pitch.
The facilities whilst basic were easily sufficient for the number of people on the site. The pub has recently been taken over by new owners, and whilst we had not stayed here before, cannot praise all staff working here highly enough.
The bar and waiting staff were charming, the food excellent (though quite expensive) and the management extremely apologetic when there were slight problems with the drains. All in all a very pleasant stay, and we will certainly be returning next year.

I would not stay at this site again.
We were not expected, despite having booked online. The site had the appearance of a building site, complete with skip full of rubbish.
The one toilet (shared with laundry for hotel and campsite) was dirty at 4pm on arrival and had no way of drying hands. Paper towels not supplied even after a polite request.
Shower (again one only) curtain inadequate - resulting in soaking floor. Very pleased to be somewhere else next night with good facilities and 2/3 the price. £20/night is far too high.

Stayed at this site for one week and that was too long looked like a building site and on weekends were surrounded by cars as it was being used as an overflow car park for the pub.
The £20 per night charge was way over the top. There was only one shower and one toilet for both men and women. After one week we found another caravan site less than half the price.
For the £20 they charge you would expect far more facilities, like a swimming pool and laundry facilities. Will not be going back there again.

Excellent small site with very good pub attached, Hosts were warm and welcoming. The staff were marvellous particularly the chef and his girlfriend. Pub has many awards for food and service and lived up to them completely. One toilet and shower in an out building of the pub, clean and tidy but showed the buildings age a little. Our pitch was on a slight slope but not so much to need any levelling ramps.Well drained pitch. EHU a little distant from van but a 25mt would be just enough. Excellent stopover site if going down Dorset direction, cannot recommend it enough.

This was our first camping holiday although my partner had camping experience. I will admit that we chose a time to go when the weather was awful.
The site is attached to a pub and can only take about 6 or 7 units. It is a very exposed site and this was our problem. It would be OK with a caravan or campervan but the wind came off of a hill and blasted the site. On top of this the ground about 3' down felt like concrete and we could not get the pegs in, therefore the tent lifted in the wind dramatically.
There was 1 unisex toilet and 1 unisex shower which were clean, but the washing machine and dryer were in the toilet which could have been interesting!
The owner was friendly and didn't charge us when we left after 2 hours of trying to keep the tent on the ground.

People were really friendly and helpful. The pub is lovely and the food is really excellent. There is only one toilet and shower and when we went there it was not up to scratch. The door to the toilet was difficult to open and close and it was very damp and full of black mold. The shower room was full of children's outdoor toys so there was little room to move around. I expect it was like this because it was still winter and so they probably didn't expect anyone to be using them. There were a couple of caravans on site, but I expect they have their own toilet and shower.

Spent four days with friends at the true lovers knot, the camp site was a small field at the rear of the pub with plenty of room to set up where you wanted.
The only draw back was only one toilet and one shower for the site, you could use the pub toilets during drinking hours but a bit awkward when they were closed.
Only a short walk across the car park and you are in the pub
The pub staff were fantastic and friendly, greeting us with a warm welcome and a smile every evening when we came in, the food was top of the range and plenty on the plate.
Seemed a very popular pub for food at week-ends and you need to book a table in advance to ensure a place.

Well kept pitching area slight slope with 5 hookups and a new toilet and shower block. Very good food in pub at reasonable price, with a good children's play area and outside seating. All in a nice country setting and will use again when in area.
