Went to greenacres 13th to the 16th sept, staff were helpful. The pub in the camp was really good for food and they did a breakfast from 8am till 9am and it was only £3. 50 and you got a coffee or tea with toast, really good value as was all the food. My only gripe was the toilets as there was only 2 showers that were quite poor and no heating, but at least they were clean. All in all for £16 a night a good place to stay

Just returned from our second visit to Greenacres this year (see our previous review)
This was our free holiday offered to us after the power cuts at Easter.
As promised when booking there was no problem with the dates we chose. On arrival a very welcoming check in and we were asked if we would like same place as Easter, we actually managed to get same pitch.
After all the rain we've had we were expecting a very muddy site being all grass. The field was almost bone dry so must have excellent drainage, even after a day of rain during our stay it seemed to drain off quickly.
We tried the restaurant this time and were more pleasantly surprised, service was polite reasonably quick even for busy time. Nicely spaced and not all packed in like cattle, and for the best part, the food is absolutely spot on, For around £12. 50 you can get what can only be described as the best mixed grill ever. The meat and veg are cooked perfectly and the chips are served in a separate dish as the plate is so full of meat. Stuffed chicken breast is also a must at £6. 75
We were gutted we only managed one meal here this stay as we were out most of the time and couldn't get back in time.
We usually stay at Hardy's site and tried here this year as we have always noticed it when coming into ingoldmells. Easter may have been a bit of a non starter with the power cuts but this was no ones fault, This holiday was far better, Hardy's has only one benefit that Greenacres doesn't. You are straight on to the main street in ingoldmells, Greenacres is around a 15 min walk to Joes bar on the beach, But Greenacres doesn't get the noise from arcades, pubs etc late at night.
We have decided that Greenacres is a far better place to stay and as a result we will more than likely become regular visitors.
Thank you to the owners for being honest and caring enough to honour their promise from Easter, excellent service.

Our 1st outing of the season and Just returned from a bank holiday stay, 4 Nights.
Very friendly on arrival showed us to pitch and told us to pay the following morning. Pitches all grass plenty of space around caravan and awning.
Shower block heated and clean most of the time some toilet users really should be re trained how to use them which did spoil it a bit. Showers toasty warm usual campsite push button 10 secs maximum but free to use which is good.
The second day went a bit wrong for the whole site as there were several power cuts to the site. The owners blamed this on the number of people using extra heaters due to the bad weather. The power cuts continued intermittently for the rest of the holiday. With the electrician more or less being on site working on the fault the whole time.
There were a lot of unhappy users both touring and tents who on mass complained to the site office. In fairness to the site owners we were given a full refund for our whole stay, we were told we could return for a free weeks holiday in the summer and we could leave at whatever time we chose on the day of departure instead of 11am and a massive apology.
I think this was more than fair of the owners what else could they have offered. I do think they need to address the power issues on the site for busy times but again if this was a one off incident what can they do.
The site itself is about a 10 minute walk to fantasy island area which isnt too bad.
We didn't use the pub or restaurant so can't comment on those though they were always very busy.
Being a bank holiday weekend it was mostly rain and very cold at night but we had a great time with our family and friends who stayed on the site in their tourer.
We would return again as this is a good site and no one could have forseen the problems. Definately no hard feelings toward the owners they did their best under bad circumstances.

A very friendly site quite and very well spaced. We are a family of 5 2 adults 3 kids and we love using this site. Very good toilet and showers, lovely pub on site which does really nice food and fantasy island is not too far away. Only problem is if like us you like going on the Dell the little road is bad for the kids as cars fly up it doing and there is no crossing for the kids to go and play on the park. There is a very small shop on site but doesn't stock much. I would really recommend this site to any family

Just come back from a weeks holiday on this camp and what a great little site it is. In a good location to everything, but far enough away from any noise.
We took our 2 little dogs with us and there is a little path/walkway separated at the side of a river/canal to exercise them.
There is a bar and reasonable priced it is to, adjoining is the restaurant which is too reasonable because sometimes they had sold out of the favourite foods,
All in all it made for a very good holiday with plenty of friendly people, would definitely go back and intend to in the near future,
Owners are lovely people and toilets and showers were cleaned often and always nice hot water.

We have visited this site for 2 years now and would recommend it to families. It is near all the amenities. The good things is you don't have to drive anywhere. The only time we did drive was to the supermarket in Skegness.
The staff are laid back about when you pay, there is a park next to the restaurant and is plenty of equipment for the children to play on.
The restaurant is very reasonable in price, their menu is on their website.
There are 2 shower blocks on the site and the nice thing about it is that you never have to queue like you do on most campsites, the only thing I will say is the water is a little bit hot for the children.
The campsite is very near the main road which does get a little busy.
I will be returning to this site again

We stayed here for 2 nights on our first camping trip. We were greeted by a very laid back chap who showed us to our pitch and was told to get settled in before nipping back to pay.
The toilets/showers and washing facilities were good, clean and everything looked cared for. A 10-15 minute stroll and you are at Ingoldmells market etc.
Sadly we didn't use the restaurant or on site park our daughter only 2 and was asleep by 8.
Even in the wind and rain it hasn't put us of and will sure to visit again in the future.

Must 1st say that this a fantastic site to stay on.
When we got there we was greeted with a warm welcome.
The price for 2 nights stay with elec in a large tent was very good.
Was shown 2 the 1st pitch but I was to small but this was not a problem. So was shown to a 2nd pitch and this was very good. Lots of room for a large tent and car.
The pitch was nice and flat
The was 2x toilet blocks they was very well looked after cleaned everyday lots of hot water all the time. Free showers
The pub has a great feel to it as well as playing bingo.
The food I have been told is very good indeed we never tried the meals but if its like the breakfast yes its very good indeed.
There is a fantastic playing area for the kids my son liked it a lot and very safe.
Its in a very good location not far from Ingoldmells about a 10min walk. Would be nice to seen a crossing because it is a very busy road.
Over all this a great site to stop on great value for money a great location very warm and friendly.
Cant wait to go back.

We have just returned from a weekend at Greenacres, lovely relaxed site it is too. The owner showed us onto our pitch told us to pop into shop next time your passing, to pay really laid back. The showers and toilets were always clean with no queues. The family friendly restaurant on site we can recommend as the fod was lovely and not overpriced. There is a good playground for the kiddies. Seems to be dog friendly too as there were quite a few but were no bother at all. The only downside we could see was the dell was cut off from the main park by a small road with a 60 mph speed limit you have to watch the road as there's no fencing to stop anyone or thing ie dogs running into the road. Good location for fantasy island you don't need to use the car 10-15 mins walk saves on car parking fees. Will definitely use again would recommend to couples and families alike

Just spent 6 days at Greenacres camping in a frame tent, the toilet block is clean as are the showers, the biggest drawback is that to use the toilets and showers you must cross a road. This was no problem to us as we had no children with us, but if we had it would have been a bit risky. Staff are friendly and helpful. The only problem is the misleading information about breakfast being served from 8 till 9 in a morning, we were disappointed to find that they did not stick to this, we arrived for breakfast on our last morning to be told sorry we are not doing breakfast today, no explanation was offered and the person we spoke to just shut the reception door and locked it.
