Just come back from a week at Greenacres, when we arrived we were greeted by a friendly man who showed us to our pitch he told us where the facilities were and said don't rush get set up and pay either later or the next day (how rare is that)

The site was good, the facilities were clean and served their purpose the best thing about this site is how friendly it is and there is a pub / restaurant on site that is lovely the meals are very very reasonable, we should know we ate there every night, they have specials my top tip for the meals are they do a cracking T-Bone steak and for only £8.50 you just can't go wrong.

There is a play area to keep the young ones entertained but to be honest everything is on the doorstep so only a short walk and your into Ingoldmells and a short drive your into Skegness so for us we loved it. I would recommend this site for anyone wanting a break that you can just do as little or as much as you want it's definitely a site that we will be revisiting.

Just spent the weekend here with our 2 boys. We would definitely return to this site. The toilets were really clean, the site was very friendly and only 10 minutes walk to fantasy island and shops. Didn't use the restaurant but meals were a reasonable price. Only £2.50 for a full English. All in all a great weekend and the sun was out which was a great bonus.

Just returned from a 4 night mon - fri stay at Greenacres.

We pitched up in a little dell area across the road from the main tourers area of the site. The pitches were grassy and even and had ehu if required( we don't use so I can't comment on this). There were about 9 or 10 other tents pitched around the perimeter of the field which was shielded by hedges, making it very 'cosy'. All pitches were at least 6m apart, which made it very safe.

Across the road ( not a main road, more a b road) was the main tourers area. The reception was open quite late into the evenings, and this also doubled up as a shop selling basic items including bread & milk. Newspapers were available in the mornings.

A chest freezer was available to re-freeze your packs at a charge of 20p each. Next to the reception is the pub/restaurant. Very clean and open most of the day. Plenty of outdoor seating & a new kids play area with climbing frames/swings etc with rubber matting. Breakfast 8/9am at £3.00 and lunches/evening meals at very reasonable prices. We ate lunch there on 1 day and the food was very good.

Behind the pub was the first of two shower/toilet blocks (the other being down the other end amongst the tourers). 7 or 8 toilets, 4 sinks and 2 shower cubicles. Plenty of hot water at all times of the day/night. Showers are included in the pitch price and are the push button type where you have to keep on pushing. Toilet and showers very clean. Enclosed 2 sink pot wash area, again with plenty of hot water.

10 mins walk to ingoldmells in one direction with plenty of shops, a massive market and all the rides/amusements of fantasy island. A further 5 mins sees you onto the beach which dogs are allowed at all times (obviously you have to clear up any mess) 10 mins walk in the other direction takes you to butlins (family day pass £30)

All in all a great site with a perfect tent area (as long as you're in the 'dell) which is close enough to all the attractions ingoldmells has to offer, but far enough away for some peace & quiet.

We will definitely return.

We were shown to our pitch by a fairly friendly man with no urgency for us to pay.

The site was quite quiet but was full with big caravans stored for seasonal caravanners, this ruined the look of the site!

Make sure you take a bowl with you to the washing up block because there are no plugs! very annoying!

You will also need a bowl to clean your toddler in because the showers are far to hot (even for adults) the shower cubicles are also quite small with showers that last for 10 seconds before you have to press them again, as for the toilets there is no soap supplied for you to clean your hands!

The shop was always closed but when I looked through the window it looked very very basic.

Ingoldmells town is about 10 minutes walk from the campsite, the beach is quite rough sand, the high street is a row of arcade amusements and pound shops, The Village pub is good for familys with good entertainment in the evenings. Skegness is a bus ride away with a nicer beach and lots more of the same sort of shops!

Stayed at this site for Easter weekend and was shown to a spacious pitch and had no problems fitting our large tent on the pitch.

Had a very friendly welcome and a pleasant stay, the site was busy but we never had to wait for a shower, there are two shower blocks and both were keep clean during our stay.

There is a small shop on the site which sells the essentials and there is a Pub/Restaurant on site but we didn’t use this.

Plenty to see and do around the area, more than we had time for during our stay, there are several pubs and food outlets within walking distance of the site if you don’t fancy cooking.

Skegness and Ingoldmells are both a short drive away, you can walk into Ingoldmells easily from the site.

We only had one issue during our stay and that was a problem with the electrics on the site which knocked off the entire site barring the Pub/Restaurant several times over a couple of nights, this was quickly reset but occurred again shortly after.

This was eventually solved but I’ve no idea what the cause was, it was none the less very annoying.

That aside we had a great time and would be happy to return again.

Have just returned from a 3 night stay at Greenacres and was very pleased with the site,

The toilets and showers were very clean, food in the restaurant on site was very nice with a good choice,

The on site shop only stocks very basic items but a mini market is only 5 min walk away.

The site was very quiet at night

The site is about a 10 min walk to pleasure island and the beach.

Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here august bank holiday. The staff were very unorganized left us standing by the shop for ages even when we had rang before we turned up. It was very unclear where they wanted us to pitch. The shower blocks were clean but the showers were cold

Just got back from a lovely weekend at Greenacres. Fabulous weather always helps, but the camp site was great as well. Our first visit to Ingoldmells since being little and I must say that it has changed a lot (for the better)!
On the site, the facilities were good, nice play ground, lovely pub / restaurant, nice clean toilets and showers, but a very very basic shop.
No really a problem though as the market in Ingoldmells sold everything you could think of and then some! We will definitely be going back next year.

As with previous post I was a little concerned about this site, but needn't of worried. On arrival we were shown to our pitch by one of the friendly staff and because they only deal with cheque or cash they said there is no hurry for site fees until we got settled (only had cards with me).
The toilets/showers were clean apart from occasional bit of grass, but be wary of the showers sometimes they are very hot! The bar was nice enough and cheaper than our local area derby and as the previous review about the tannoy it isn't that loud. I can't comment on the restaurant as we never used it but looks pleasant enough.
On the whole this is a well situated site close to all amenities but set back well enough for the quiet nights in, nice friendly staff. Only one little gripe is that the site shop needs a bit more choice. Would I go back again? if I was touring in this area again definitely, a lot better than surrounding sites.

After reading one of the other reviews on this site, I have to say that I was a little nervous about visiting this site. But I can honestly say that it is fantastic! As soon as we arrived on site, we were greeted by friendly staff who showed us to our pitch, and all staff were very friendly and helpful all week.

The site is lovely and in a fantastic location. The toilets and showers were always spotless and I never had to queue all week. The on-site bar and restaurant are brilliant - lovely atmosphere, great meals and prices are very reasonable. The newly refurbished children's playground looks fantastic. Our baby was ill in the restaurant one night and was sick, and all staff on duty were very helpful and sympathetic even though they were very busy.

This site is a 5-10 minute walk away from the major attractions in Ingoldmells and is perfect for a family. It is close to good markets, theme parks and the beach. There are also some great family bars nearby. The nearby farm is a great day out and the Seal Sanctuary in Skegness is well worth a visit.

Some caravans are pitched here all year, but all of the people we came across were extremely friendly and I don't see why this is such an issue - most sites do offer pitches for full seasons.

All in all a fantastic site with everything you need close by. We thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be returning next year. Couldn't have wished for a better site.
