 Just back from this nice wee site - basic but very clean and tidy. The showers took a bit of getting used to as there isn't a separate bit to get dried and nowhere to put your clothes in cubical so it meant a bit of juggling to keep your modesty while keeping your clothes dry! A minor criticism though and wouldnt put me off going back. The site is in a great location for seeing Galway, Mayo and Clare. The cliffs of Moher, the Burren and Achill Island are within a 2 hour drive and the gorgeous Connemara is practically on the doorstep. The village of Cong itself is very pretty and you can get all your basic needs met there, 3 pubs selling good food, cafe, grocery shop, antique shop, garage etc. There is a lovely woodland walk that follows the river to Ashford Castle, another lovely day out. Would definitely go back, not least for the great location.

We stayed in June with a group of 5 other units. The site is ideally placed for touring the area. Close to town and the beautiful Lough Corrab.
The staff were friendly and accommodating, allowing us to pitch our motorhomes as best suited us within a specified area.
The showers are extra at 1 euro. There were two blocks one with more privacy than the other. One of the blocks was closed on our second night. Although we were told it was for servicing we suspected it was because half of the guests had left. So for the remainder of the holiday we had to use the showers with a communal dressing area! Although two of our group who have 'medical' needs were permitted to use a private shower.
