Camping abroad was a first for us and the review left by Emily really helped us to decide which site to use. We went with our 13 year old daughter for 1 week, which just wasn’t long enough.
Site: small, quiet and friendly. Pitches are separated by hedges which gives a degree of privacy. All have free electric hook up and you can hire fridges which is brilliant. You can also hire gas BBQ’s, these are the only BBQ’s you’re permitted to use as the campsite is in a pine forest. The toilet block is cleaned about 4 times per day and they close half off whilst cleaning so as not to cause too much disruption. There are about 10 showers, toilets and private wash basins. 6 dishwashing areas and 4 clothes washing areas. There is also a cubicle for parents and babies with a neat baby changing facility, baby bath and shower. Hot water is free and 24/7. They can get busy at peak times i.E. 9 am and 6 pm but on the whole clean and we didn’t have to wait once. There is a nice wooden play area for kids, and a sand volley ball pitch. The swimming pool is a good size with slide but is not manned by life guards and there are only a few sun loungers and chairs.
Entertainment: we don’t like sites with lots of entertainment so this was perfect for us. Each night about 9pm there was some form of entertainment there was a film made of the camp with all the kids in the pool and campers on site which was shown a night followed by a disco, Karaoke and a country singer these were the loudest nights but really were fun and all entertainment ends at midnight and the site goes to sleep. There was also a Petanque tournament and other various games for kids. We were not disturbed once in the night. None of it was too rowdy and we did enjoy sitting on the terrace having a glass of wine. There is internet access around the terrace which is 10 Euros a week for unlimited use. You can hire bikes 35 Euros for the week or 19 for 24 hours.
Area: the surrounding area is lovely with some quaint towns and villages, all within a short drive away. There is an excellent Super you (super market) about 5 mins drive away which sells everything, bit like a Tesco super store. The bar area on site does have a small shop which sells a few basics, pasta & pop etc but they do sell fresh baguettes, croissants and pastries in the morning which is great and they do great fresh coffee. The beach is 5 minutes walk away and is fabulous, miles of sandy beach. The sea is very rough, surfers paradise and there is limited safe bathing areas which are really well manned by life guards, I wouldn’t recommend letting small children go in on their own the waves knocked me and my husband of our feet, great fun though and body boarding is excellent fun. The Super you sells body boards! The surrounding pine forests are lovely and there are some great well sign posted cycle routes.
I can’t think of any downsides to this site, except it gets quiet dusty and the woodpigeons can be a nuisance in the morning if you want a lie in, are they really downsides though! The weather was fantastic with only a quick shower of rain lasting no more than 10 minutes. Most of the staff speak some English and all are really friendly and helpful. We will most definitely go back to this site but for longer next time.

I've been camping in France four about 10 years, we change site every year.
The site is under new ownership so we didn't experience the same as 'Lpp2' as described in the other review.
We had a great time. The location is perfect: just a few minutes walk from a beautiful beach (Les Conches), in the forest. The site is quiet, safe at night with a digicode to walk in after 11pm (no cars between 11pm and 7:30 am).
Entertainment is a bit noisy twice a week (disco and karaoke, the kids love it) , but only until 11:30 pm. Kids Club every morning.
Friendly English speaking staff. They will help you out if you need assistance to book a restaurant or the vet for your dog.
There are cycle paths just near the campsite, and you can hire bikes on site.

Spent 2 weeks this summer at Clos De Pins. The site looked good from the brochure. The site has a reasonable pool, that's as far as the good points go about this site. The toilets were dirty most of the time, and there are not enough of them (when we were there there was a second block of toilets but this was closed and had not been used for some time.) The showers were cold. At night the site is very noisy, cars driving round at all hours. There is a very small and badly maintained children's play area. Entertainment at night consisted of music played as loud as possible until midnight. The area of Longeville sur mer is very nice and the beach at Le Conches is wonderful especially for body boarders.
