Fantastic little site. Predominantly for caravans but a lucky few can get tent pitches. Definitely a site for adults as only small and no facilities for children.
Previous comments have mentioned road noise. Its absolutely minimal and barely noticeable. And the facilities and location more than make up for it.
Showers/toilets are in a brand new block. Spotless at all times. And no extra charge.
Spotless dishwashing facilities and free use of freezer.
The owners of the site are so friendly and unlike many sites when you ring and try to book, they answer the phone promptly without having to leave a message on an answer machine. They are very helpful and have a great knowledge of the surrounding areas.
We took our two dogs with us and there was no extra charge unlike many sites.
Its a gem of a site and as much as I don't want to write such a good review so that it doesn't become too popular and then we struggle to book. The site and owners deserve a fantastic review as its definitely the cleanest, best value site we have visited and we will definitely be visiting again soon.

We visited this site as a stop over on our way to New Quay. We were so impressed we cut our weeks stay in New Quay to have our last night back at The Old Station Caravan Park.
The owners John & Libby made us very welcome. The site is spotless with excellent, very clean, showers & toilet facilities. Despite a little road noise this site is very peaceful and we found those staying and owning the statics to be very friendly.
A short walk takes you into the village were we found a little treasure of a pub called The Radnor Arms were they serve an excellent pint. The owners Jan & Nigel made us very welcome with Jan advising us on the local area. They also serve some delicious food especially a steak you could eat with a spoon, a home made steak & kidney pie and my wifes favourite a lasagne.
We were so impressed with the whole package we booked to return the following month.
This is a site which is excellent value for money is not to be missed.

We decided to camp here after reading the reviews left by others, The pitch was level and ample for our large tent. Ladies toilets and shower where spotless. The noise from the road is loud, and there is nowhere to ride bikes as the road is busy. I would say the site is geared more towards caravans rather than tents ( we where the only tent and I could only see one other place you could pitch a tent) There is little for children, having to get in the car to go and walk or visit anywhere.
All in all the toilets and showers were great, the washing up facilities where good but there are only two toilets and one shower and one washing up sink. If you have a dog and a caravan and no kids then this site is fine.

Just returned from an 8 night stay at this site (we paid for 7 and got the 8th night free).
Owned by Libby and John Roe who couldn't be more helpful. John was particularly accommodating with my husbands interest in old railway stations/railway lines etc and even provided copies of some old photo's for him with his compliments.
The facilities were excellent. There's only one shower each for ladies and gents, but we found this to be adequate for the size of the site - approximately 12 touring/tent pitches some of which have been allocated for season pitching. Showers are free, hot and very invigorating and refreshing.
Excellent re-cycling facilities, a dishwashing area, washing machine available for use (small charge applies), no electric dryer but there is a clothes airer available for use.
There's no on site shop, but this was done for a reason which was to help the village shop see some extra trade from people staying at the site. The village shop provides all your basic needs and has a butchery attached to it and also has provision of fresh fish if required. They are happy to take orders if required. NB: if you want bread from them, go early, or telephone them to hold some for you, otherwise you could be disappointed. Village has a local pub if you don't want to venture too far for a pub meal, although we did not eat there ourselves. However, we did have a meal at the Red Lion a couple of miles up the road towards Rhyadar, which we can highly recommend.
Lovely area with a forest to the rear of the site, good for dog walking. There's no dedicated play area for children, but this did not stop what children we did see from playing or riding bikes in/around the site.
Can reccommend a drive through the Elan Valley and a visit to the three lakes (reservoirs). We also enjoyed a trip on the steam railway from Devils Bridge to Aberystwyth (Rhaidol Valley)and also the Welshpool steam railway.
We were pitched on a hardstanding with EHU which was generous in size and fairly level.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Old Station very much, despite not always having good weather and we will be back again, hopefully to see the house that Libby and John are having built in the grounds, fully completed.
Good luck to them both with the remainder of the rennovation plan for the Old Railway Station at New Radnor. In the words of good old Arnie, 'We will be back!'

We have just come back from this site and we found it absolutely brilliant. It is very quiet and peaceful around the whole area and the site itself backs onto woods where dogs can be walked etc.
The site facilities are first class, being both extremely clean and maintained. The pitches are of generous size and level.
There is no site shop but with a good general store only a mile away it is no disadvantage. Nearby pubs are good with excellent meals.
There was only one thing wrong and that is signposting - you have to keep your eyes open from the main road or you will miss it and turning can be tricky.

Lovely caravan site, John+ Libby the site owners were very friendly. We found Smatchers wood excellent for walking our dog and lovely places to visit. This site is well worth visiting, but keep your eyes peeled for caravan site sign!

Beautiful peaceful site. What else can be said?
Excellent facilities including immaculate shower and toilet block, plus recycling.
Very welcoming staff and extremely dog friendly.
Beautiful countryside to explore, the perfect walking destination. The pub is nice and close after a hard day on your feet.
We planned to stay for two nights and stayed for four due to the undiscover beauty of the area. The scenery was to breathtaking.
We will back year after year.
