Greetings Campers. As always those not so good bits first
No toilet paper in the toilets its take your own, the shower hot water goes off at 2230 so cold showers after that time, the flies were an issue for the prince of darkness due to the amount of apples falling off the trees then being run over by vehicles giving flies and wasps a feeding feast
Narrow access around site is tight for big units
Watch the road if heading to the ferry from Licques via Ardres if towing a big van especially big twins as its very steep uphill and two sets of very extreme sharp bends which means very wide onto the other side of the road. Go via Guines its easy and flat and only
So good bits then
Great wardens on the site, English isn't badly spoken, its very good value for money the site pitches, as our friends know here on UKCAMPSITE we have a big unit but the pitches on the internal road system especially those on the corners (example pitch 34) are huge, very big, good 16 amp supply and water, we used levelling blocks to tidy up the setting up. Huge pitch though
We tried the pool out when it was extremely hot on the Thursday and its lovely, not big but nice to have a cool off and there are a number of sun loungers around the pool, very nice
We tried the bar out and wasn't bad, bit pricey but was nice on the bar veranda, didn't try the cafe out but looked again slightly pricey but plenty of others did and there wasn't any complaints
There is an excellent reception and information centre on the site, well stocked and lots to do in the area, not just the stop over for a lot of brits either heading home or further afield, there is loads to do in the area and the markets are wicked to visit
There is a chemist in Licques, a nice coffee shop and a Carrafour with 24/7 fuel and safe for us to use with UK bank cards even the prince of darkness managed to fill our titan twice, just insert your card use pin and draw fuel out get ticket happy days.
Markets are great and there are big ones at the following places, there are others but these are the ones we visited and were excellent
St Omer, Ardres, Bethune, Etaples,
One to remember and book for is the first weekend in september. Go to Lille for its big once a year international market day, utter stunning, live bands, live cooking shows, market mania. Drive to Hazebrouck, park and catch train to Lille
The site has secured entry and exist controls and a small car park for visitors vehicles
So the million dollar question is would we return to this site and recommend it to our friends
Yes we would. Yes the flies were an issue and easily cured in reality, I didn't have issue but his lordship did, the site is great, small and friendly and we will be returning here again next year without a doubt
Good site, value for money

I chose this site as it looked ok (Pictures looked good to us) and the price was within our budget.
The site was easily found via Google maps and sat nav.
We arrived about 7. 30pm. A man came out straight away and was very helpful and spoke a little english after my old school french was not upto scratch and checked us in, I had made a reservation a week before, and he gave us a map of the site and indicated the pitch to us in a very courteous manner.
The site on entry has a lot of modern chalets and a mix of old and new statics that you have to pass to get to the camping area. A small field at the back with open plan pitches and EHU. The pitches are flat, but after the down pour it was like a bog. The field is surrounded by very tall trees and hedges protecting you from the sun I would expect but making it dark and cold.
The one toilet block with 2 toilets for a large site was very clean but there were no hand basins to wash your hands within the toilet area. Washing up is outside but under cover the water was warm.
We paid £39 Euro’s for 3 adults and a child a little expensive in my opinion.
In my opinion the site was probably ok many years ago but looks like he has added chalets and statics to what I suspect was the camping area and now you have to camp in a field with one entrance and when its raining it gets messy under foot.
We shall not be using this site again.

Please note - we travelled in a motorhome, which is listed above as not being accepted!
Site was great - nice site, good friendly atmosphere, friendly family owners and excellent clean facilities!
Pool was heated and under some covers due to the not boiling weather. Bouncy castle was a favourite and the kids playground is also good.
Toilets and showers were clean enough, and the pitches were an excellent size and kept private with hedges.
All in all a good value site that I will use again.

We stopped off when returning to the tunnel and hadn't booked. The site was completely full but the very helpful owner parked us up just outside the barrier by reception. We were able to hook up inside his family's courtyard as our hook up checker indicated that there was no earth on the original ehu. Toilet block seemed a confusing layout, but on the whole was fine. We enjoyed a meal in the restaurant which was virtually empty despite the full site. Bread and croissants baked behind reception were very welcome in the morning as we hadn't much time for a visit to the village.

A sweet little site, great for a stop pre Calais. We camped in a field there with hookup and there were lots of English overnight era! The majority of the camp is statics/seasonal french who were friendly. Kids enjoyed the pool and playground. Not much in the area but a good little stop over, food sold on site and a bar too.
High scoring location due to Calais convenience rather than a hol destination, easy simple and clean!

Reviewers - mature couple with campervan and bikes.
This site was recommended as handy for Calais, so we decided to give it a try.
It is situated outside a village in a rural area inland from Calais, we found it a bit tricky to find even with the satnav.
We arrived quite late from the Tunnel, in the dusk and pouring rain. A man was waiting in the reception to book us in, gave us a map of the site and indicated 2 pitches for us to choose from. (The next day we discovered that reception closes around 7. 30pm, I think the warden must be in the bar next door and looks out for visitors. )
The site has a large area of chalets and statics you pass through on the way to the touring area, a field at the back with undivided pitches and EHU. The pitches are flat and grassy, ours had plastic mesh underneath, and wasn't too wet despite the heavy rain. The field is surrounded by very tall trees and hedges.
We found 1 toilet block, with separate facilities for men and women, but not many of them. They weren't specially clean, and the water could have been hotter. Washing up is outside under cover. There were groups of kids hanging around or messing with the doors
Because of the bad weather we didn't get to explore the site further, nor to visit the village nearby. When we drove through the following day it didn't look terribly interesting.
The situation of the site and the difficulty we had finding it didn't leave a very good impression, and we probably wouldn't use it again.

We visited this site for a week 2 Adults and 2 Children age 13 and 10 in August. The pool is just the right size for the amount of children there peak season and the games room is handy during showers/evenings. We hired bikes at reception very reasonably and cycled around the local village of Licques. The Coccimarket/Bakery was 2 minute walk however not as reasonable as Netto passed on route from Calais. Pitch was flat and surrounded by bushes giving ample privacy, showers were hot and temperature is adjustable to suit all. Washing up areas also had hot running water, toilets/showers spotlessly clean you do need to provide toilet rolls and hand wash. Park Bouncy Castle and Boules pitch also keeps young ones / adults occupied. Bar / Snack menu reasonably priced on site and local restaurant opposite church in the village was highly recommended. Overall very cheap holiday peak season with plenty of sunshine. Very friendly family run site. Payment is taken on departure once they know your fully satisfied with your stay.

We stayed at this campsite for one night. We were directed to a field which we assume is the stopover field. We were able to choose where we wanted to pitch our tent. There is electric hook on the field, the path to the toilet block from the field is narrow and there is no lighting. We only saw one toilet block and I'm not sure if there is another one, it was clean but no toilet paper, so don't forget your loo roll and soap!
The campsite boast a small swimming pool and a snack bar, we didn't get the chance to use these. There is a small playground for children.
There is a lot of static caravans/chalets on this site, but we didn't hear much noise from them and a lot were occupied. Staff in reception were friendly and helpful, one gentleman came to our tent after we had set up to ask if we were ok.

Arrived after a horrible journey from Belgium, torrential rain, to find that there was only one pitch that was fit to stay on, all the others were waterlogged, no hard standing, just plastic mesh under the 'green' (grass).
However the next day things improved and we had a nice 4 night stay. Yes some of chalets that are permanently occupied, but when we were there it was very quiet, maybe the weather put them off, and a lot of the chalets were empty.
I would think that the site would be noisy when full, but the pitches are large and divided by hedges.
The facilities were clean but cold as there is no heating in the showers or toilet, no wash basins in the loos, take your own toilet paper, but to be honest we used the caravan facilities and didn't both with theirs.
The snack bar was open at the weekends and looked a nice place to have a drink or snack.
The owner and his family were very pleasant and spoke some English, we were able to make ourselves understood.
Ideal for the ferry just 27 km from Calais/Boulogne.
We used our ACSI card and got a reduced price of 14 euros per night.

The site is very convenient for Calais/Dunkerque/Tunnel. It was an apple orchard that was turned over to camping. The orchard area is mainly chalets and mobile homes with a few touring pitches dotted amongst them. The overflow field is geared to become the touring area with Electrical hook ups all round the perimeter. This field had signs of being boggy, but loads of rock and ballast were being delivered, so in future it should be fine.
There is a very well patronised bar/restaurant on site which seemed a boon for those who had packed away their units prior to leaving. The turnover of units is high, most only there for 1 night.
The sanitary facilities, whilst limited in number are beautifully clean and the water is piping hot (beware!).
There is free wifi, the reception is better the nearer you are to the bar area, but available over the whole site.
It is an ideal jumping off site for either starting or finishing one's holiday
