 This is a simple municipal site with basic but good facilities. Cost us £250 for 12 nights for a family of 4, large tunnel tent, car and small trailer, also including electric hook up.
Although the site is huge, we were amongst pine trees so it did not feel exposed or too open. Caravans intermingle with tents, but there are some areas for groups of two-man tents. The site also has static caravans, and there is a separate area for camper vans.
In August there was plenty of space. The campers there were mostly French families, very few English people, a few Welsh flags flying!
The mixed toilet and washing facilities are basic and in need of updating, but it was clean and no queues. Hot water was sometimes not available, but we had some poor weather so I believe this affected the heating of the water.
There is a small laundry facility, general store and bakers on site. There was a restaurant / takeaway which we did not use and looked like it was hardly used. There is a supermarket a few hundred yards outside the entrance.
The town (1 mile away at most) is famous for it's markets, which is in the mornings 6 days a week throughout the summer. The long sandy beach is beautiful and there is life guard cover. The waves were pretty good so take body boards if you can.
For a cheap, no frills site this is great. If you want lots of facilities, entertainment, swimming pool, etc, then look elsewhere.
