This site is set in a lovely location within walking distance of the lovely, clean and quiet Dyffryn Ardudwy Beach. The site facilities are clean and functional, if a little like the changing rooms at a swimming baths. The lights in the toilet block were not working one night, which was a bit inconvenient in the dark. Unfortunately, the pitches are too close together, and despite booking in advance, we were given a pitch right next to the toilet block and bins ('it's the only one left', we were told, and had to go and find it ourselves), so it was like Piccadilly Circus most of the time, with kids messing around near the bins till around 10pm. It certainly wasn't a relaxing atmosphere, which is a shame, as it could be a really nice site. We paid for 3 nights, but only stayed for 2. We will not be returning.

Where do I start? The entrance to the site is steep on a good tarmac road with plenty of passing places. we booked a hard standing pitch which there were six, with three occupied at the time of arrival. the pitches were level and raised slightly from the well kept grass in front with fantastic views of Barmouth bay. behind the pitch was a stone wall and behind that were grassed pitches which was tiered to the height of your caravan. The toilet facilities were clean and tidy with a laundrette and recycling facilities next to the building. The hosts were polite and welcoming. And now the downside, the following day a small white van arrived towing a small two berth and pitched up, he then left and reappeared an hour or so later this time towing a twin axle the registration plate did not match the towing vehicle which made me suspicious, after pitching up another vehicle arrived late evening with a single occupant, the following morning at 0700 the two men started to gut the twin axle of its upholstery and carpets, this lasted all day and most of the following day, this was really not on and whether the owners knew what was going is anyone's guess but these men were blatant about what they were doing. Needless to say our five day break was ruined and will not be going back there again.

Great site very clean and tidy. Owners lovely people. Great views of the sea and walks in the woods especially in hot weather. Shower and washing facilities are spotless. Good size pitches and the caravans are not too close together. I would recommend this site to anyone. The only downfall is children being allowed to run around your caravan not respecting your privacy. The parents are to blame for this certainly not the farm owners.

Excellent site and we will return here this year. The walk up to site hard work due to the hill but the views from the site are breath taking. Lady Owner very helpful shower block spotless. Perfect for an inexpensive break in the quiet with the bonus of near by places to eat and the beach and as a dog owner plenty of room for them to run, beautiful walks.

I stopped here for a weekend with my two kids as I have been coming here for 6 years. The site is very clean and tidy with spotless free showers and excellent sea views. The owners are very helpful and friendly. Lots of room for kids to play and it is also very tranquil and peaceful. Some of the pitches are sloping and some are level with a few hardstanding ones. It is very reasonably priced and also a good location for visiting the north wales area.

We really enjoyed staying on this site. Found the owners very friendly, if not a little difficult to contact, suggest you phone them. The site is on a very elevated position with great sea views. The long very steep drive to the site means you would probably need to drive to the local village. We stayed on the top site with EHU which seemed to be the flattest location of the field which is rather sloping, seems to be mainly for tents. The toilet shower facilities were clean and fairly modern. You can drive to the local beach pay and display which is large and very clean, great for families and Barmouth a short drive, lovely town with a supermarket for provisions. Shell island is good for a visit, children will love it. We would use this site again, makes a good base for touring

We visited this site October half-term week after reading the excellent reviews on here and we were well impressed. The owners take great pride in their site and have invested a lot of money in the shower block and main field which is on a hill facing the sea. They built a substantial retaining wall and created flat terraces with hard standings on the lower, electric hookups and water points are in-between pitches. The shower block is on the same level as the terraces so no effort to reach.
The orientation and sea views are amazing, you get the sun all day and it sets over the sea perfect for evening BBQ's. If its been raining you won't get the van up to the hard standing without a 4x4 but the owners will help if this is the case. Some of the other pitches need serious amounts of levelling but are worth the effort if the site is fully booked, everywhere is well drained because of the hill. The shower block is immaculate and amongst the best I've ever seen, impressive that they went to the trouble and expense they did, especially as the tariff is so low at £16/night.
I have never been to Wales before and was impressed with the area and things to do in general. We'll be back time and again now and there's no way we could find anywhere better than this perfect site, I nearly didn't write the review in case it gets too popular and we can't get a booking! At night there's no light pollution and I've never seen the Milky Way so clearly.
By day there's miles of flat beach for the dogs, up the coast they are not allowed peak season because it's for nudists. We saw a couple of naked old men which was amusing for us but upsetting for our daughter, good job it is a wide beach so bear this in mind if you wander northwards with your family. There are acres and acres of huge sand dunes if they want an all-over tan in privacy.
Before arriving I Google Map'd the site entrance and unfortunately the Streetview car didn't go up the (private?) road to the site. The farm and buildings at the end of the road are NOT Parc Isaf, which is actually halfway along and the second farm on the right. It was surprising the amount of traffic that uses this narrow lane and almost everyone skims by you at speed if you are walking as they don't want to lose momentum on the hill. Will probably take the car to the beach next time even though it will only be 5 mins since I don't want to join the roadkill but enjoy the area another time. I hadn't figured on negotiating Barmouth's narrow sometimes one-way streets, clogged with pedestrians and parked cars, with our large twin-axle, and there's no escaping this unless you come in from North Wales. It would have been stressful in peak season I think, there's pay and display parking for several thousand vehicles behind the long long beach.
If this area of outstanding natural beauty is on your shortlist to visit, give the Edward's site a visit, you will simply love it!
