I have just returned from a week at Griffithston Farm and I must say I loved the site.
Having read previous reviews I was slightly worried about the experience but as soon as we arrived I changed my mind completely.
The shower block has 4 showers, 4 toilets and 4 sinks and there were never any queues to use the facilities. I used shower one all week and the temperature and pressure was perfect! It's better than my shower at home. The washing up area was good and the water was always hot.
We pitched near the caravans as the other people we were staying with had an electric hook up so our pitch was flat.
The view from the site is gorgeous and after the first wet day, the sun was shining and the view amazing.
Saundersfoot is only a short way away however we didn't walk, we always drove.
The farmer was very laid back and helped us when the battery was flat on our car!

We plotted our caravan down there in April and keeping it there till September,
this is a reasonably priced camp site, the view that I can see is AMAZING you can see Saundersfoot sea.
There is a toilet block in the first field which, yes it is basic but good enough, the owner comes regularly to check everything.
The owner also maintains the grass, they cut it around the caravan to make it look tidy and not to long.
In the second field there is a gate to go through onto the country road which leads to saundersfoot, coming back up does hurt, from the steep hill but you get used to it as time goes on.
The walk into Saundersfoot is only about 7 mins, I'm quite young so I might have a quicker pace
The only disadvantage / improve is that the second field people take their dogs down to purposely let them foul away from their caravan, which I am not very happy about

Just had two weeks on this site with my family and we really enjoyed our stay. The site can get busy at times but I never had to wait for a shower or the loos, which are a bit basic, but considering it's only £15 a night and the showers are free one cannot really grumble.
A freezer is provided for ice packs, a covered area with two sinks for washing up and again free hot water which can get really hot so be careful.
A previous reviewer mentioned sing songs and on a couple of evenings we moved our table outside to enjoy free entertainment while we ate our meals.
I was slightly worried about earlier comments about mud and although we had a fair bit of rain during the nights there was no great problem with mud and there is a gravel track around the site so getting on and off was never an issue.
We walked into town on a number of occasions which was made more pleasant when we found the short cut along the old railway track and the walk back, although steep is only short and after two weeks we hardly noticed it at all.
The local area is fantastic with so many beautiful and safe beaches and the site is only about 15 minutes from the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path. Also about 2 minutes drive is the most incredible farm shop selling gorgeous breads, cheeses, olives and all sorts of other stuff.
Downsides. I couldn't find a flat pitch for the tent. We had to buy a table cloth for the camp table to try and stop our plates from sliding off.
A young couple in the tent next to us were addicted to Big Brother and insisted on running their car engine every evening to power a portable television so that they could keep up with what ever it is that goes on in Big Brother.
In fact, the only downside were some of the other campers who had no consideration for any one else and could neither flush a toilet, wipe down a sink or talk quietly to one another. Why does everyone seem to have to shout these days?
Mr Merriman was very friendly and relaxed and was always about somewhere and although he must have been busy with other farm work he was never more than a phone call away.
Just a nice small site in a lovely location.

This is a very basic site which also gets very wet and muddy with not that much rain. When I stayed there even four wheel drive vehicles struggled and most tourers had to be sited by the owners large farm tractor. At night there are no lights around the site which together with the mud make using the toilet block a bit of an adventure.
Now some good points. There are some good views of the coast and its close enough to walk down to saundersfoot which is a lovely little resort.
The owner was a friendly chap and the site could be a lot better with a few basic improvements such as a road around the site and some night lighting but the final straw come when some guy came roaring around the site in a transit van and plastered about 6 or 7 caravans (including mine) with mud.
I have to say this is one the poorest sites I have visited which is a shame because if the owner invested some time and money it could be a lot better.

Read the three previous reviews before booking this site and decided to give it the benefit of the doubt and ignore the first review. Unfortunately this review was pretty much spot on! I’m not a forum nerd and I’m a review virgin, this is my first! I booked an electric pitch @ £19 per night in about two months advance. When we arrived at 13:30 there was no reception or information as to where to pitch. Eventually the farmer wife arrived and looked round the field but could only offer us a place on a sloping area with an extended electric lead. The field is on the top of a hill and the ground is very uneven. The best pitches are in the centre but most of these are taken by seasonal vans. In the end I noticed a motorhome starting to pack up, so we waited for them to leave! The Shower and toilet block were basic and a bit riffy, they could do with a lick of paint and a good clean. It didn’t bother me much but had to convince my wife and daughters to use them. Most of the sinks didn’t contain plugs and there was only toilet paper in the mornings, pot luck anytime after that! The water was cold for two of the mornings we were there but for the rest of the week nice and hot. Bit of a moan but when you’re paying £19 and the only facilities are a shower block and electric you expect it to be better.
Now the plus points. Location is great and from some parts of the field sea views. Saundersfoot is a beautiful little town and about half mile from the site. We walked down most nights for a bite n drink and saw the mountain climb home as a challenge at the end of the evening, I mean how better to burn off all those pounds from jollies over eating and drinking. Seriously the hill is very steep and very dark but we managed it with two buggies. Tenby is only a few miles drive and again a beautiful unspoilt seaside town.
So in summary we thought the site was very basic and overpriced for what you get but as a base camp ideal for a fantastic area.
Forgot to mention the road into the site is single track for about half mile, I prayed not to meet a car or even worse another van on the way out!

Nice site owners very nice people to deal with, and talk to,the first night we got there the sited van owners on the top left of the field were having a sing song, guitar was out,and there was some good singers too. Everyone was easy to talk to. Nice shower block, could have been bigger for the size of the site, fridge on site for campers for ice pacs etc, lovely view from site of surrounding area not far to saundersfoot about half a mile,we did nt walk it though because the way back was up hill.Overall a very good site, the site could do with a park for the kids. I would go back there any time. Many thanks to the owners.

We recently stayed at this site after what could only be described as a weeks worth of torrential rain. On arrival we would have prefered to have been warned about he tight twisty approach, that coming from a confident tower and reverser! however luckily we had no dramas.
The ground was waterlogged and muddy which was nobodys fault but it did drain relatively quickly (3 days) when the rain stopped, but did stay muddy in the awning until departure.
The two toilets in the gents were cleaned daily but the four showers were very small(wet clothes and difficult with young children)but generally hot.
The electric hook up was faultless, you can use the kettle, heater and lights without it tripping out. The bin system was very primitive with the farmer removing it with his tractor but he did empty it often so no mess or smells.
The farmer and owner seemed to be very easy going and very accommodating.
The views are stunning. Saundersfoot is a ten minute walk down a steep hill allow extra time for the assent. In all I would say this is a basic site but acceptable, maybe a little over priced.

A very laid back site, the tent pitches are not very flat, but the view is lovely. We were 5 families. On arrival we couldn't find the owner, had to ring him. The owner comes around each morning, but apart form that we didn't see him.
A 20 min walk into Saundersfoot, or 2 mins by car, about 10 minutes from tenby. We paid £14 for a taxi home late at night.
There are 4 showers for ladies think the same for men and 1 disabled shower room. 2 washing up sinks. Showers are free and lovely and warm, washed out each morning. No shop, no play area. A fridge freezer for campers use very handy.
Nearby a wonderful farm shop, back up on the main road into tenby.
There is a lovely field for your children to run about in, we camped at the top end of it so our children wouldn't be running around the caravans and tents. We had 9 children between us ranging in age from 2-11, they loved it. Saw rabbits foxes, frogs. Fab that the children could have space to run and play.

I camped at this campsite with some friends and I have to say it was great! It had everything we wanted. The toilets and showers were washed out every morning and were kept really clean all day. The showers were really hot even in the morning when everyone was using them. The facilities have been well thought out for campers who don't have their own toilet and electric. In the ladies toilet block there is a plug socket so I could use my hairdryer and hair straighteners, perfect! Also this site has a fridge! I have been camping on lots of sites in Australia and New Zealand and they all have fridges for campers to use which is great but I have never found a campsite in England or Wales yet that does, except this site, brilliant! The site is also within easy walking distance of Saundersfoot so you can go out and have a meal etc and not worry about driving. Finally the owner Mike is a very happy and friendly man! I would definitely recommend this site for all campers and caravanners.

I recently stayed at the Griffithston Farm while we were celebrating an event. We all had a wonderful time, the location is perfect with only a half mile walk into the town of Saundersfoot or a very short drive to Tenby. Every morning the shower and toilet blocks are washed out to prevent smelling and dirt. The owner Mike is very friendly and welcoming and I will be recommending this campsite to all my friends.
