Everything mentioned in the previous review is still accurate. The owner was very helpful and the facilities were spotlessly clean. We stayed in the tent field toward the back of the site as we wanted to use electric hook up.
Even though it was the Spring Bank Holiday week (we stayed Tuesday-Saturday) there were only 3 other units around the outside edge of this very spacious tent field.
The local Co-Op supermarket stayed open till 9pm and was less than a 5 minute walk away. It stocked a good selection of food and drink. The nearby town of Holt is worth a walk around but parking seemed quite limited.
The location of this site is good for both the beaches and inland attractions. We would definitely return to this site.

Found this site by accident and what a find it was. Generally we would never book a site without checking it out first or by being recommended but being in need of a site quite urgently we thought we would 'risk' booking without checking it out. Site owner Mrs Graves is extremely friendly and more than helpful, greeting us on arrival and checking we had everything we needed.
The site itself is spotlessly clean and beautifully maintained, as other reviews say there is only 1 toilet and 1 shower/toilet and 1 washing up sink but having pitched up during the school holidays we didn't find this a problem at all, not having to wait for shower or toilet. The pitch is extremely spacious and peaceful location.
The local spar shop, which is within easy walking distance is well stocked and open late. Local pub 'The Huney Bee' is a nice local pub although haven't eaten there yet. Holt is about 7 mins away which is a lovely historic market town, The Kings Head is a great pub, friendly staff and very nice food with plenty of tables in the garden to enjoy the sunshine. The Wiveton Bell in Wiveton is another of our favourite places to eat with friendly and accomodating staff. Wells and Holkham beach are beautiful and definitely worth visiting.
I recommend this site highly.

Although it told us to ring a number on arrival, we couldn't get any signal (apparently only vodafone works), it was soon apparent where to go and we had a very warm welcome, being shown to our pitch and checking we had everything we need.
It was very peaceful - even though it was half term and the surrounding village was also nice to walk round with good local shops for basic needs.
The shower block was modern, very clean and, as other people have mentioned, the only criticism is that there was only one shower for the females and the same for the males, though at the time we were there this really wasn't a problem.
If you are camping in a tent, you will need a mallet to get the pegs in as the ground is a little rocky but the grass is kept immaculately. The dog walking area is also a very nice touch. We will definitely use the campsite again in the future.

We chose this site after reading the reviews and we were not disappointed. We received a warm welcome upon arrival, the facilities were pointed out to us and we were shown to our pitch. The site is very well maintained and has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The toilets and showers are modern and were always clean. There is only one shower but this was not an issue during our stay. An added bonus is the washing machine and tumble dryer should the weather not be kind to you. There's plenty to do in the local area too. Excellent value for money, we will definitely be returning.

An outstanding quite Site situated on the edge of the village of Briston, with a good hard driveway into and on the site, excellent hard and grass pitches with acres of space, also has superb modern toilet facilities. A very good central location for touring Norfolk.
We visited Norwich (20 miles), Cromer, Sheringham, Holt, and the main cause of our 4 day the trip at this time of the year, was a visit to the Thursford Christmas Spectacular, which was 3 hours of brilliance, would recommend this site to anyone.

This is a fabulous site. Exactly the kind we like best!
Owners are really friendly and helpful. The site is very spacious, clean and well kept. The toilet block is modern and spotless. Prices were very good. We liked it so much we stayed for a week!
The village is very close and access to the shops is an easy walk taking minutes. The village pub is not so close, but walk able.
Briston village is very well situated for access to many of the attraction in North Norfolk. Norwich, Kings Lynn and Gt. Yarmouth are within easy reach as are the north coast towns such as Cromer and Sheringham. All are worth a visit. Also recommended is hiring a day craft in the Broads: Wroxham or Horning have an abundance for £15/hour.
I would recommend the Green Man (on the B1354 halfway between Briston and Thursford) a pub offering Nepalese food. I would also strongly recommend the Hunny Bell in nearby Hunworth.

We have just spent 11 very enjoyable nights at Pine View. We had been before last year so we knew what the site was like. We decided to make this our base for our hols as it is pretty central to all of Norfolk.
This year we were greeted by the new site warden. Terry could not be more helpful, from the personal greeting,to him helping to sort out a few problems with our awning.
The site itself is very well maintained, the toilet & shower block being kept spotlessly clean. Although there is only 1 shower & 2 toilets in each the ladies & gents, it didn't present any problems for us.
There are nice walks all around the village area, great for walking the dog. There is a local butches, gocery & genral store close by.
We can recommend this site to anyone.

We stayed at Pine View on 30th and 31st August 2009. Having read the other reviews they are spot on with the area and facilities. We found the site was spotlessly clean and Terry the site supervisor was very helpful. He did his 'rounds' each morning at 9am to make sure everyone was happy. We had not booked so we were lucky to get a pitch on the August bank holiday weekend. My only moan is there are just two toilets each for ladies and gents and the shower is in one of them. There is also just one washing up sink, so there was always a queue. Although this was the busiest weekend of the year more facilities are necessary. Having said all of this we would definitely stay there again. We did not take any children with us, but the children there seemed perfectly happy. Not sure if there was a children's area. Our final backward glimpse of the site was Terry contemplating climbing a large tree to get rid of a wasps nest. Very amusing for us, but he was completely dead pan

We've just got back from 11 days at the site, covering the bank holiday weekend. It's a straightforward and quiet site (although see below), but great value and handy for access to a huge swathe of North Norfolk. The loo block was always immaculate, and although only two loos and one shower for the men (same for the women), they never seemed to be too busy. The grass was the best kept at any site I've been to and the village shops are great for supplies. We didn't use electric hook up, but plenty were available. We'd recommend it.
One other thing - the site had an independent caravan club rally over the bank holiday, which erected a marquee and held a disco, which was pretty loud for other campers. The site management picked up on this very quickly and remarked that they would not again arrange for this group to camp during a (particularly busy) bank holiday weekend and would let any independent campers know when any similar rally would occur again. Worth asking though, just in case.

Stayed here for a family tent visit on the August bank holiday weekend. It was the closest site to Cromer that we could find available upon booking a few weeks earlier.
The site is in a nice village with local shops nearby and not too far to travel to the nearest pubs. It is within easy driving distance of Cromer & the coast in general.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by Terry, the site warden. He is a very helpful & friendly chap with lots of local information.
The site is well maintained & very clean & tidy. The toilet/shower block is fairly new and in spotless condition. There are however only one shower & two toilets per gender, perhaps a little inadequate during busy times.
A really nice family site with loads of space for the Children to run around. A very friendly atmosphere.
We will return next year.
