On arrival we were allowed to select our own pitch, the wardens were friendly and welcoming. The showers and toilets were cleaned regularly, they were dirty a couple of times but due to inconsiderate campers more than the staff. The main toilet and showers are locked at 9pm but a small toilet only portacabin stays open, my only moan here is that toilet roll and soap is not supplied. There are plenty of elsan and fresh water points, and a very well stocked and reasonably priced shop on site. The vast majority of units here are seasonal but most seemed friendly.
The shops pubs and arcades are only a 5 minute walk away. The site was noisy sometimes but was to be expected as it is in a lively location, to sum up good for a lively family holiday but not a get away from it break.

We have now stayed at this site a few times as it allows dogs to stay.
The shower facilities are very basic (small cubicles with only two hooks for which to hang your stuff and push type showers) and they never have toilet roll in any of the cubicles which is annoying. On a recent stay the shower and toilet block were shut after 9pm due to vandalism so they have another mobile toilet block which you can use with 3 toilets. The bins desperately needed emptying too.
Prices for 2 adults varied depending on time of year from £20 to £28 including electric hook up. I noticed that tents are now allowed on site contrary to what is stated here.
Staff are always friendly and there are nearby shops, including one at the site entrance, and when the site is not so busy they let you stay until the afternoon on your departure day.

We passed this site on a previous visit and noticed a sign saying that they now accept tents.
How pleased we were. The site was quite empty, probably due to the kids being back at school. The shower blocks are basic but the showers were warm if a little small. There was a portable toilet block as well as the main toilets. This was on the tenters field at the back of the park and was very handy as the main block was quite a walk. The toilets however had no soap or toilet paper which was a bit of a surprise. They were very clean though. Also the bins were very full and didn't get emptied the whole time we were there.
The staff were very friendly on the phone and on arrival. There is a good supermarket at the entrance and the bars and beach are approx 10 mins walk away. There is also a fishing lake on site though this didn't interest us.
All in all a very good site that we will certainly use again.

Me, my wife and our little girl aged 7 really enjoyed this site. Will come again. Everything you could need is here, all for £15 per night which is excellent. Toilets and showers were clean, staff was nice, and the land is well kept with easy access to everywhere. Children’s play area was large and kept the kids entertained, while we enjoyed the pub and cafe which look onto the park. It was all Reasonably priced, and has nice food.

We first stayed here for Easter 2009 and they said that this was the first year they had taken tourers. We thought the site was lovely and quite, friendly staff, very flat, with a nice lake and easy access to the beach. The local shops/pubs were only about a 10 minute walk away (Ingoldmells Fantasy Island is about a 30 minute walk). It was £15 per night, without electric hook-up and this seems to be about the average for the area.
The downside to this site is the shower block, on both of our visits the water has been cold (we did let them know on our first visit, but it was still cold throughout our stay)and they are also poorly lit, the mirrors are like a piece of reflective plastic, which you can just about see yourself in.No chance of doing your hair/make-up in them! The hand-dryers didn't work and there arent any soap dispensers.
They also need to empty the bins more often, on both of our stays they have been over-flowing and rubbish was just piled up in front of them - these will be very smelly now the weather is changing!
Don't let my negative comments put you off though, if you have washing facilities in your camper/caravan then this is a great site for visiting the local area.
