A decent campsite with marked, shady pitches. However be aware that some pitches are tiny and you may not be able to park your vehicle on-site (despite paying a daily fee). Stayed for 4 nights through the busy August period and have to say the site felt cramped and claustrophobic. Our pitch on the top terrace was so small that our neighbours' guy ropes crossed ours and we had to walk through other pitches to get to our tent.
Clean and tidy with reasonable showers, toilets and a decent swimming pool. The site is 25 minute's walk to Portes. Portes has all the necessary shops, bars and restaurants for a holiday top-up. The on site shop seemed reasonably priced.
We were charged €24 per night for a tent, car and two adults.
Would only recommend outside of peak holiday time and with the previsor that you manage to reserve a LARGE plot.
Found the mountain biking in the area to be rather disappointing. Too many double track gravel roads and difficult to ride circular loops.

Only just noticed this site is on this website, hence the very late review. Cannot recommend this site highly enough, one of the best we've ever stayed on anywhere.
Beautifully clean and well-maintained by the hardworking staff. Nice layout, on terraces, leaving you never feeling cramped although the pitches are not huge. Agree, the electric connections are a little odd but work fine. Magnificent views, of course, and plenty of walks in the area around.
At 16 euros with ACSI card, excellent value. Just two downsides to mention: 1) the pool wasn't open when we were there; and 2) inside the main toilet blocks there is a step down that can be hard to see when the lights are off.

Great location in the beautiful Picos mountains, approximately 70 miles from Santander and about 1km from Potes which is a pleasant walk into but uphill going back.
Nice toilet blocks and communal area with charging points and free, if slow, wifi, a small shop and a bar / restaurant, we didn't eat there but prices seemed reasonable, drink prices were comparable with those in the town.
We were charged €12 for one person+motorcycle+tent per day which was a little too much.
Potes is a beautiful town with plenty of restaurants and bars and well worth a few days.

I agree with all the points below - a beautiful clean site. The toilets and showers are 5*. It maybe a little more expensive ( though well worth it when you compare this site with others nearby) but we used our Acsi card so it was only 16 euros a night!
It may be 1 km from Potes but this is all uphill! Lovely walk to the monastery and cross at top of hill.
Staff are very kind and helped us with our lack of Spanish.
A little gem!

This is a very good camping site. We were there at the really busy time of July this year. Even then we did not find it difficult to get showers etc. The shower washing facilities were excellent always kept clean by staff who took pride in their job and are modern and well designed. The location is terrific with mountains and hills all around. It does mean wherever you go it is either uphill or down hill !
The camping pitches for large frame tents are quite small and close together and the whole place was like tent city but each pitch is level and clearly defined by little terracing walls and has a power supply. Small hike tents were accommodated on slightly sloping small pitches at the edge of the site.
There is an beautifully situated good sized swimming pool. There is also a pleasant little restaurant bar if you do not want to cook. Owners speak English. Free Wi Fi in the communal areas close to the office. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with our dog.
Would recommend it and I think a visit outside school holidays would be quieter however but we enjoyed the business of it in July.

This was our first overseas camping trip, and after 36 hours on the Portsmouth - Bilbao ferry and three hours in the car from Bilbao the first thing I thought was 'it was all worth it'.
The view is just spectacular; mountains on all sides with stunning scenery wherever you look.
The site itself was fantastic. The pool area is clean and well kept, although the pool was a little cold.
The showers and toilets are immaculate and cleaned twice a day; indeed I would say they are on a par with, if not better than, the Camping and Caravanning Club sites we have stayed on in the UK.
The bar and restaurant were well frequented, although we didn't really use them.
Wifi is free in the area near the reception and the speed is pretty good.
The site was full all the time we were there (9 days) but a lot of the traffic was transitory; one or two night stays were pretty common.
The pitches were well laid out with different sizes to suit different requirements. We have an Outwell Nevada L 6 man tent, and it just about fit onto one of their larger pitches.
Our kids were able to cycle round safely with no problems; the one way system and speed limits were adhered to by everyone.
One thing to note is that the electric hook up does not accept the standard 3 circular pin plug that our electric hook up unit had, and we had to jimmy together an adaptor. We also had to borrow an extension lead from reception.
The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful, and clearly really like people and talking to lots of different nationalities.
All in all a truly amazing site, and one that we will definitely be returning to. But don't go there. I want it all to myself!

We visited here on our way home from Galicia.
I can only agree wholeheartedly with the previous reviews. The site is in a spectacular location, very well run by friendly, helpful staff/owners.
The toilets, showers, laundry etc were in excellent condition and spotlessly clean. There is a small shop, restaurant and bar as well as outdoor seating/barbecue space. We did not use the restaurant, but the food looked good and was freshly prepared. We DID use the bar which was friendly and VERY reasonably priced. At this time of year there were plenty of spaces. We did not need a lot of space (Eriba Familia), but there appeared to be a selection of sizes to suit all types of visitors.
The town of Potes has a wide choice of shops, bars and eateries. There is lots to see and do in the Picos de Europa and this site is an excellent base.
What more can I say - if you are anywhere near - GO! If you are not going to this part of Spain - GO!

Excellent site
Beautiful location
Very handy for Potes, which has a good selection of restaurants.
Nearby access to Fuente De and the famed cable car (so long as you don't suffer from vertigo)
Also the cares gorge walk is a must. You can hire a landrover with driver for a day to take you on a picos rough road tour and do the cares walk and be picked up. Not too expensive.
The site is well managed with decent pitches, good restaurant and bar. Service blocks are fine and well maintained. Not the most modern but very serviceable.
Good pool. But most of your time will be out and about the fabulous Picos area.

We visited this campsite for a couple of nights while touring around Spain during the Easter holidays.
It is in a stunning location with snow-capped mountains all around. We went on a cable car to the top of one of the mountains and that was fantastic. Really stunning views. You do need to drive to get to the shops.
When we were there is was very peaceful as there were very few other campers. However, the pitches did seem quite small and we thought it might be very crowded during peak season.
The toilet blocks were spotless and very nice. The showers had plenty of hot water and were fantastic. But again, we wondered if there would be queues when the campsite was full.
The campsite had just opened for the season the week we arrived and the pool was not open. The pool area was small but did look very nice. There were a couple of table football games and also a pool table (cost 1 Euro) which our two boys enjoyed. There was also a small play area.
As with all the sites we stayed at in Spain, we thought it was quite expensive. But then the exchange rate was pretty bad. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely go back.

This is a really lovely site with everything you need and stunning scenery. Unfortunately the weather was terrible while we were there so the pitch did get a bit waterlogged but not too bad. We were really impressed with the showers and toilets, they were modern and always kept spotlessly clean. This was my first trip camping and since I stayed here no other sites that we have stayed at have lived up to the showers and toilets on this campsite! Its a shame more campsite owners don't take as much pride in the facilities.
The owners were really friendly and made you feel very welcome which was really nice. The shop and cafe were both good and prices reasonable.
We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to everyone!
