 The site is easy to find, simply follow the sign to the airstrip, before you get there, at Uig (not marked) there are two white cottages on the left with a track leading to a large walled area which can be seen from the road. I suggest an OS map is very useful.
The owners are very pleasant and helpful.The site is very flat and well grassed, in fact ideal for camping. It has plenty of room for tents and was virtually empty when we were there.
If you are travelling to Coll you will no doubt be aware that there are few facilities on the island so don't expect much at the campsite. There are no showers, only cold water and one toilet housed in an old outbuilding. If you go expecting modern facilities you will be disappointed but if you are in Coll you probably aren't anyway, just looking for a good pitch which is very quiet and off the beaten track.
By the way, be aware that the island has two shops. The post office does not sell provisions and the store was not open on Sunday or the Monday whilst we were there. Make sure you take any food with you. The island is great for walking/ cycling but I would say a car was almost pointless as there are very few roads, all single track.
