Lovely site, right on the seashore and great welcome from the owners. Toilets and showers were very modern and immaculately clean.

Great level pitch (part handstanding/part grass for our awning) well spaced from neighbouring pitches.

Very handy location next to road but very little road noise - road is not busy, especially at night.

Fell asleep to the sound of the waves, sheep baa-ing and the local birds calling (including cuckoos!).

Great wee general store and fuel station just along the road (easy walking distance) and fantastic scenery.

We'll definitely be back

All caravan and Motorhome pitches have a sea view: mostly unrestricted to the sea as was ours. At full tide, we looked out at the lapping waves and at night were lulled to sleep by their rush. Seals “bathed” on the natural boulders as the tide receded, and we watched the miriade birds plunder the sandy beach and rock shelves for tit-bits.

Although I my tenting days have receded with the onset of age, I looked at the sheltered tent pitches with a surety that they would be a welcome retreat after a long day out. As would the brilliant toilets and showers, which were very clean and warm.

Lorraine, the owner, is very welcoming and has a lovely smile. She has a holiday attitude and aims to please. Daily, Motorhomes came and went and she was out sorting the pitch signs and preparing for new arrivals.

There is a circular dog walk at the far end of the site, across the burn, along past the old grave yard and up to the left onto a quiet road; left down hill for 400 yards and another left turn down past some bungalows brings you back along the burn back to the site. (Look out for the arty beach sign. )

While you’re there, go to Laid Woods with your dog (or by yourself or company), just up the hill, 2 min drive or 8 min walk. You won’t be disappointed with the wide paths winding through the varied landscapes; modern child buggies would easily cope with these, as would less mobile walkers. Two lochs, one with a bird hide, and numerous benches to sit on, add to the pleasure of the walk. As we did, take a picnic!

Laid post office, 3 min walk, has fuel pumps, quality groceries, wines and other spirits, fresh bread, and sundry other items.

Altbea, 3 miles away, has a fully stocked “mini” market full of groceries, off licence, and many other goods.

Trout fishing on the estate’s lochs is available for a small daily charge: permits from Lade post office. Alas, I can’t comment on the quality of the fish but I’m coming back and they’d better watch out! ( 2023. £4 pd)

My one regret is that we only booked seven nights on the site, I could have stayed there for a month!

Beautiful location with beach front pitches and picnic tables.

Very friendly welcome and by far the cleanest facilities we’ve ever seen on a campsite.

Highly recommend!

Stopped here on our way north for four nights,

What a little gem of a site! pitched next to the beach watching seals and one night, otters moving along the shore line,

Faces west so you look out over the bay as the sun sinks,

Lots of lovely walks just a short way from the site.

The facilities are excellent, and the owners were very helpful.

A lovely site with well spaced pitches in a beautiful setting.

The facilities were prefect and well maintained.

We would b6ook again if we were in the area, and can confidently recommend the site to others.

Lovely owner, good facilities views to die for.

Stayed here many years ago before present owners upgraded. Not disappointed😊

Wow! This really is an amazing little site.

Really good facilities, immaculately clean and maintained.

Nice friendly welcome on arrival.

The location is just idyllic, right on the shore with access to the beach and seals lazing in the bay.

Good value quiet little site I hope to return to in the future.

Absolutely beautiful setting. Watched the ever present seals balancing on rocks until the tide came in.

The best showers of any campsite we have been to.

We will definitely be back.

Just a perfect spot with a little Sandy beach. Looking straight out over the bay is amazing.

We sat and watched the seals’ antics as well as bird watching.

Toilets and showers are immaculate.

30 mins drive from Gairloch, Bar within 15 minute walk pricey for pub food and little shop/post office 10 mins walk away well-stocked.

Loved it here

Stay here if you get the chance.

Great spot - a medium sized site right on a thin strip of beach which turns sandy as the tide recedes. Woken by oystercatchers and curlews.

They've not skimped with the facilities and Lorraine keeps everything spotless.
