Have holiday on this site several times over the 40 years we have visited Scotland. Yes it basic with toilets only. But love this site. The owners very nice friendly people.
It's a good base for sight seeing other areas. You are right on the beach. Love paddling in the water. Fab Fab Fab

I took my two boys camping at The Croft Caravan & Campsite in July 2017. They didn't have a website that I could look at, so I was going on the reviews others had left. What a fantastic place to stay! It is a working Croft, so expect an early morning alarm call from the cows in the fields next to the site.
The amenities are basic (no showers or dedicated washing area for pots and pans), but they were clean and serviceable. Mr & Mrs Macmillan are the perfect hosts, very helpful and always had a moment to chat or give advice on the area.
Arisaig village is only a couple of minutes drive, and there is a Post Office, Spar shop for most essential food stuff and a Cafe and Pub. Mallaig is 8 miles from the site and there are a few shops and cafes that you can stock up on provisions, but if you need something significant (I forgot to bring camping chairs) Fort William is your best bet, but it's a 70 mile round trip.
Despite a number of heavy downpours, the site remained solid underfoot. And the other big plus is your no more than 100 feet from the beautiful sandy bay. When the tide is out, it's a safe haven for kids to explore rock pools and collect shells.
There were a good number of canoes being used in and around the bay and inlets, I'd definitely be happy to see my kid's canoeing or swimming there. All in all, basic facilities but a superb place to camp and the scenery is breathtaking.

Exactly what it says on the sign by the entrance. A Croft. And a working one at that with a field given over to camping.
Nice flat level field with well packed soil and grass which drained well in the monsoon conditions I experienced on my 4 day visit 18th-21st Aug this year.
Very basic facilities which were adequate for me as a solo camper for a few days in a two man tent. Though a week or two might be a problem hygene wise. Plenty of space during my visit as there were only two other tents on the camping field. The majority of folk using tourers campervans etc way over on the other side.
Absolutely stunning views all around with a pure white beach a minute or so walk away. And if you wanted you could get yourself lost in all the wee sandy inlets that predominate on this coastline. Beaches seemed crowded when you saw someone else on them half a mile away!
Owner and wife both friendly and chatty and easy going over payment. My plans had to change given the weather I encountered and they were quite relaxed about the pay per day option I adopted. Took me 20mins to half an hour to pay them each morning as they seemed more interested in chatting than taking the money.
Managed two nights(between showers) on the beach with a fire to sit by and imagine that would be a big draw in the good weather. An abundance of Kayacks and inflatable rib boats dotted around the site so seemed a popular spot with the boating crowd.
Only one personal niggle about the place. Beachside pitches all taken up by some static vans and the tourers. Which spoiled the view from my tent somewhat.
All in all a very quiet remote site which would suit anyone wanting to wake up to the sound of the sea. The gulls. The oyster catchers. And the occasional MOO from the neighbouring cows.
I personally will be back. Hopefully in better weather

This was our families 3rd visit to this site,
love the space allocated to each caravan/motorhome, not packed in like sardines like other campsites.
Very friendly owners, beach to die for, lots of people bring their own canoes which are perfectly safe to be left on the beach.
Lack of shower facilities may be a problem to backpackers, plenty of hot water in the toilets.
Would recommend this site to anyone.

This is our second visit to this site, the first one being two years ago. Found the site to be pretty much the same, two toilets each for male & female, one handbasin each with mostly cold water. Fresh water on one side of the block, waste disposal, bins and recycling on the other.
Nice friendly owners who are in no hurry to take payment, lovely flat well draining field, beautiful location and we were quite lucky with the weather which made it even better.
The only downside was there are supposed to be no ball games allowed and on the first night a group of children were making a bit of a nuisance of themselves with a leather football, the owner walked right past them and turned a blind eye. Luckily for us it rained and they went inside and they left the following day, after that it was blissfully quiet.

Just had another visit to this site.
Not as happy as I was last time round.
Increase in prices and no improvements on site.
Yes its on the beach but so are the rest of the sites in the area.
For a few quid more I could pitch at the newly opened Sunnyside site down the road which has a lot more facilities.
Having said that if your touring on a budget and not fussy and manage to barter with the owner you will love this site.

My third visit. Still the same. Green flat pitches on the rhs for tents. Still just a toilet and tap. The owner makes this very clear when you arrive. Very friendly owners. Hard to pay up !
Very busy, site full, but still quiet. It fills up quickly at the weekends. Gave us a club rate for our kayak club. You can't beach launching your kayak fifty foot from your tent into crystal clear water.
A couple of midges but still had shorts.
The map on this website dose not show the correct location for the campsite.

Stayed for one night in a tent, the weather was very fair to us and therefore the views were stunning! There was a slight breeze to keep those little flying monsters at bay too.
The site was very relaxed, with no formal pitches. The facilities are basic, there's no warm water nor are there handtowels or a dryer in the loos and there is only one handbasin for toothbrushing etc so I imagine on a busy night that might be a nuisance.
The beach was lovely, the rocks were lovely, the views were lovely and hearing the sound of the Jacobite in the background was quite magical!
The short run up to Mallaig is worth it although check the arrival of the Jacobite in Mallaig because you can't move when that comes in but of course it's worth seeing it up close in the station.
For a couple of nights I'd recommend it in a tent, after that I think the lack of facilities might become irritating, if you've got a caravan / motorhome then you'll probably love it! I know I would.

Hmm, not quite sure about this one!
Beautiful setting on beach but for tent campers there's little in the way of facilities - rather dated toilets and only cold running water.
Don't get me wrong the owner was friendly and did point this out (after we had paid!) but at £10 for the night we were not overly concerned.
It is a lovely site for a stopover but perhaps not ideal for longer camping holidays unless you have caravan/motorhome.
Not sure whether EHU available but either way the site was busy enough and not too far from local amenities.

After some initial confusion over whether the pitch we had booked was available we were given the choice of two, we chose one against the fence in a corner on a slight slope in preference to one more in the middle of the field, the majority of the field is very flat and well kept, and so green.
The site was full and seemed very busy at first but was very quiet most of the time and never any noise at night.
There are very basic facilities, two male and two female toilets with one handbasin for each sex. There is hot water but not very, usually somewhere between tepid and quite warm. The freshwater tap is on one side of the toilet block, with CDP, rubbish and recycling at the other.
The owners are both very nice and seem very laid back about payment.
The location is stunning, right on the beach (access through gates) and lovely views of the hills behind. The beach itself is shingle near the site, but if you explore a bit there are plenty of sandy parts and tons of rock pools.
For shops there is a Spar in Arisaig, Mallaig has a Co-Op, fish and chip shop & cash machines.
