Just back from our first snow camp March 22nd
They had a winter special £9. 50 per night including EHU. This is my third time here enjoyed it then and great time had by all. Basic showers (Must say I did not use them this time too cold) wash up area and loos. We were the only 2 tents on site they have static caravans on a separate site and a few tourers owners were very hospitable, looking forward to a week we have booked in September.

Tall Trees is a very pleasant family run site off the A47 in a very convenient location. 5 miles from Wisbech and 15 miles from the city of Peterborough, you are not far from from any facility that you may require including less than 10 miles from Pioneer Caravans at Eye, the largest dealer of caravans and accessories in the area.
On the edge of the village is a large children's activity centre where you are able to take part in 10 pin bowling, quasar, and a ball pit area. A mile or so in the next village of Rings End is a superb Chinese restaurant that offers an all you can eat buffet on a Sunday very competitively. Be warned though this is very popular and you need to get there early.
The park itself is very clean and quiet, ideal for a peaceful retreat.
It has few facilities, not always a bad thing, other than a very clean and well stocked farm shop, with fresh farm eggs, pastries and savouries as well as the usual sweets, bread etc.
The prices are quite reasonable and the welcome in the shop / reception very warm. The shop also has an cafe area where you can enjoy hot paninis and coffee, a nice addition to the site and another good way to relax.
There is a lovely walk available through the orchards on site, and a larger open area where you can let the dog exercise should he come along.
A minor gripe would be the shower facility which is a mobile unit with one shower for male and one for females. When we arrived it was not a busy weekend so the issue of queuing did not apply. The showers however are not the most modern, and the head is fixed and not particularly well directed, consequently water found its way out of the tray to wet the floor area and this was not great. A minor issue and one that should not put people off of staying, though I think I would rather pay an extra couple of pounds and have improved facilities.
Overall a very nice site that is ideal for a short weekend stay.

Second visit to Tall Trees ( last visit July 2010 )
Went with friends this time, great relaxing weekend. Friends brought a television so they could watch the England game. They have added a wash up area which they did not have last year, could do with updating showers though, saying that they were hot and did the job.
Grandkids went off exploring as usual they had a great time and befriended a black cat
Overall great place to chill out reasonably priced and only an hours drive away will be back soon

First visit to this family run campsite and good value at £10.50 with electric. We got a warm welcome when we arrived and we asked if we could leave later on the sunday and was told we could. They went out off their way to be there for us to return the card that lets you in and out,
Went to wisbech that is a nice town with some nice shops, there is plenty off walks around the site and area, good markets and carboots,
The shop stocked lots goodies, a nice campsite and really nice owners, we will be back

Spent 3 nights here with myself mother and 2 granchildren, shown to our pitch next to the only other tent which had children the same ages as the boys ( did not see them for hours, off exploring the orchards ) very laid back easy going site.
Reasonable rates £8.50 with EHU
Toilet block ok portacabin held the showers, there was a shop on site I think it opens on a Wednesday. We went into March not far which has a large Tescos. Hunstanton is about 30 miles away went there for the day
All in all a lovely location would go back

Just spent 3 nights at tall trees with our mates 3 tents 2 hook ups 1 without, great place the hosts were top people and were very helpful, the site was full so we stayed in the rally field and we had a great time, loads of room for us to spread out.
Showers were clean and the hot water was ok all day, plenty to do in the area, so we are very happy to be going again in september for another go, cant wait,
Only £7 A night, £8.50 hook up, great value, great place, great people, will go back in and take dog as the dog walk is surrounded by apple and pear trees as the farm grows them on site,
My son who's a 10 yr old, said it is the best site we have ever been to. There was lots of place's to play and the place is very secure as they have swipe cards to get in and out, all in all a top place to stay

We stayed here August bank holiday week and upon arrival were a tad disappointed. The site was bare and the toilets and shower 'blocks' were dirty. They were portable cabins and cleaned once while we were there and had no paper towels and the 'hot' water trickled at best and was freezing cold.
The farm shop was also disappointing as we went up for Sausages and Eggs and they didn't even have any.
That being said the site was quiet and staff friendly and the orchard setting was nice.
It is also right by a main road which on a week day gets very noisy, though in all fairness what to expect for £7 a night in August, although the website did make it look a lot better.

Cheap as chips @ £8. 50 night per pitch (with EHU) 2010 prices.
Nice and flat pitches with EHU and water point combined. As previously mentioned the toilets and showers are housed in porta cabins which are functional and clean.
As the name of the campsite suggests this site is well protected from the wind due to the tall trees (and they are really tall) around the perimeter of the camping field. This is not a five star site but at the price it is a bargain and well worth a visit.
We had a lovely 1 night stay and would return again.

We (3 tents, 5 adults and 6 kids) stayed in the rally field as the rest of the site was fully booked. We were told to pitch where ever we wanted by the owner, which we happily did.
There are 3 showers and 2 of each sex toilets and one disabled housed in portable cabins, they were clean and warm and always had loo paper and soap and hand towels. The showers were great, plenty of hot water, plenty of space to leave you stuff and get changed. You had to press a button every 30 seconds or so as the water would stop, but that wasn't really a problem. However I wouldn't shower my 2 children in them as the water was a tad too hot, but for me it was just right.
The campsite is set in a apple and pear farm, which you can walk all the way round where ever you want. We walked around the dog route and I can safely say we didn't spot one bit of dog mess.
The owners were lovely, very friendly and welcoming and came and checked on us to make sure we were ok.If the weather is bad, the owner said that he has a room that he would open up, which had a snooker table in etc for us to keep warm and dry.
One of the couples in our group had never camped before, and even after staying at this basic site they have got the camping bug and cant wait until they go camping again.
There is a Londis / garage 15 mins walk from the site, along with pubs and farm shops and walks along the river. We also went to a indoor play park which is also 15 mins walk, the kids loved it there.
Its great value at only £7 per night for 2 adults and 2 kids without ehu, which is great value.
Would I go there again, a big yes!

Visited this site with a little trepidation as only two previous reviews and the price was very reasonable. We were met by owners who were very friendly and showed us the pitch. Water and electric hook up both on pitch which saved trekking to tap. The site was spacious with a great field for games and a drinking water tap.The bins were kept empty and everywhere was tidy. Toilets and showers basic but clean with plenty of hot water.Site does not have wash up area but that was not a problem. Saturday night a bit wet and owner opened a room which they have tables and chairs, board games, darts. Lovely and bright and warm! Overall a great site which on first glance may not be too impressive but as it is new has made a great start. A47 road noise not too noticeable and only if wind is in right direction. Kings Lynn 20 mins away,Sainsburys in March also chip shop etc.Plenty to do within half hour drive.Small aviation museum near Wisbech. We shall be visiting again.
