We booked 7 nights here for our sept break, picking the site for it, s location and good value for money.
Location wise we were not disappointed, we had lovely view, s from our very spacious well maintained pitch over an open field towards the estuary. You could walk from the site across the fields past Carew Castle to the local pub ( Carew inn ) which was very friendly with good food and beer. Lovely Tenby was about 7 miles away and we did a great walk at Bosherton lily ponds which was a similar distance away.
There, s a Tesco and Asda at Pembroke dock 5 mile away as mentioned previously and a few smaller convenience stores closer.
The owners are very friendly and they have free wi-fi available at their house. The only disappointment we found was the showers would probably benefit from updating, but at £13.50 a night I suppose they are adequate.
We would recommend the site, it, s a well maintained, in a lovely part of Pembrokeshire, especially if the very changeable weather is good to you !

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at New Shipping Farm and would like to say how fantastic this little site is I cannot sing its praises enough!
Lovely big pitches loads of room for children to play in front without crossing anyone's pitch. There is only 1 toilet and shower however there was rarely a wait and the cleanest facilities I have come across in Wales!
The walks around the site are beautiful and very easy access to the castle and mill. This site is fantastic value and we will definitely visit again when we return to Wales.
We moved onto a very different site after our 2 night stay and were gutted we moved. Thanks to Stephanie for a fabulous stay!

We stayed over the Easter weekend, it was so lovely. The owners were very nice and chatted about our collie which was with us, who also had a great time watching the world go by sat out side the tent. The walks were beautiful, the lambs sweet. Weather changed for the worst on our last night but it has not put us off, we will be visiting again soon. On our last night we grouped together with our friends to have a drink and sing songs, every one said that they would have loved to have joined in, so next time we will go round and ask if anyone wants to join us! There is plenty of room, the pitches are large and ours is a very big tent but there was still plenty of room. Once we had picked our very wet tent up and shoved it in to our friends van the owner was there to wave us off, a very nice end to our holiday

We recently stayed at this campsite mainly because it was not over priced! We decided to take our friends camping and this meant 4 adults, 4 children and two cars! We were so happy with the pricing and it was easy to find!
The campsite is beautiful and unspoilt with the owners taking much pride in the site. Stephanie was very welcoming and gave a personal welcome and even waved us off in the torrential rain when we left!
The Campsite is basic but the grass is well kept and all facilities are well kept. The women's shower room consisted of one toilet and one shower but the shower was always a good temperature and there were four girls in our party and we were always able to shower. The male shower room was slightly bigger and the men reported no issues to us.
The biggest issue for us was the lack of washing up facilities which we were aware of- just in practice it was hard work in the rain. I think we would have to look at a more practical way of washing up if we were to re-visit.
That aside it was a very welcoming site with wi-fi in the reception area and we would recommend the site to anyone.

Just stayed for 5 nights through NYE. Found the site easily using just the maps on our phones, although it showed the site as further down the road we found the site easily for merely looking for the signs.
Upon our arrival we were greeted by the owner who directed us to our spot just by the entrance, the weather was horrific and it was already dark but she kindly asked if we'd like a cup of tea - to which we were invited to the 'clubhouse' which is like an annex onto the farmhouse - lovely and warm! - waiting was a lovely pot of tea, 2 mugs and a couple of pieces of cake (which was delicious!).
We didn't see much of the views until the morning but it was lovely, out to the estuary and you can see the castle and mill from the site. We woke to sheep and lambs bleating as they were lambing for which the owner apologised but I thought it was charming! We took the walk from the farm to the causeway, the mill and carew castle which killed an hour though you coud make much more of it as there as paths all around the area.
The shower and toilet on the field (there is an extra ladies) are in a portacabin with which on previous sites I've had some hideous experiences but I was very happy to find that it was well kept and spotlessly clean. The shower took a bit of working out, I couldn't regulate it but found that you turn the dial right the way around (it will blast out cold!) and then turn back until your ideal temperature is met and when I found the right temperature it was divine.
Our last night was NYE and so thoughtfully the owner brought us some mince pies and roast beef for the occasion(which were divine and tasted as though straight out of the oven).
The site is very dog friendly, doggy bags set out at the entrance to the field and the farm dogs were roaming when not working and we found them very friendly.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the peace was incomparable. The site is basic in so much as the washing up facilities consist of a little stand in the field so for anyone expecting banks of sinks, rows of toilets and showers, on site shop or on tap entertainment then this is not the site for you. This site is for nature lovers looking for a peaceful setting to explore. Or not is just as nice as my dogs and I enjoyed watching the lambs.

Had a great fortnights holiday. We had a warm welcome on arrival. Everyone was friendly and my youngest daughter made plenty of friends very quickly. The site is lovely and quiet with no noise late on. Absolutely beautiful views of the estuary and watched fantastic sun sets most evenings.
The site owners were very friendly and obliging, my husband enjoyed chatting to the owner about his sheep. My daughter loved seeing the sheep dogs rounding the sheep up!
Could not ask for anymore on a family holiday, clean site, fantastic views, lots of beautiful beaches near-by, plenty to do. Will definitely return!

Stayed here for 2 nights bank holiday weekend, found it by sat nav sort off with help from owners, or we would of ended up at the nudest camp down the road. Owner was ok, they love their signs, children have to be supervised in the toilets, no fag buts, use towel provided to dry floor after you. Had to have pitch that was given, all in a row, so on the up side no one in front or behind you. Estuary view was further away than thought, walk to Carew castle thorough 2 fields, estuary down a lane, was very windy think it was because we were above estuary. Good for crabbing.
Shower/toilet was clean and was very hot then cold so was a quick one and didn't have a problem waiting my turn. As its a shower curtain to dress behind, then another to use the shower, and I was right next to the door on a windy day, I was worried someone may come in and I'd be exposed lol, a door would be better. One loo for ladies or you can use the one next to the house, never had to though. Wasn't allowed to bring our friends in a tent, even though there was plenty of room, but was told it was because of the shower u,sage but like I said not a problem there.
Was £12 per night with electric hook up. Tv signal was ok. Noticed a stand with washing up bowl on next to hose water fill up so assume it was for washing plates. Didn't like it here as much as other sites we have been to for some reason
Owner's response: I was sorry to hear that this family did not enjoy their stay for some reason, and felt that a few comments made were a little unfair and I need to clarify a couple of points for anyone reading this review.
We have signs on our site, they are there either for safety reasons or are directional and helpfull. For example we ask people (please not to discard ciarette butt's in or around the site), we are a working farm, storing inflamable liquids, hay and straw. Another sign is asking parents to (please supervise children in the loos and showers), we had quite a large number of young children here, and children being children they do like to play in the facilities, resulting in wet floors, discarded loo paper, wet towels in sinks and a blocked loo. Another asks guests to please wipe up any water drips on the floor with a cloth provided, as a courtesy to the next person who has to use this area to undress. The showers settings are governed by 2 buttons high and low, the setting at this time of year should high, in cold weather low. It is set it on high and the buttons are taped over to prevent alteration but sometimes they get altered, resulting in extremes of temperature experienced. A specific area on the site is given to 12 pitches, allowing everyone on site to have an uninterupted view of the Estuary across the fields (see main photo on advert) The pitch size is generous, affording a family space for a caravan and awning outside picnic sets and car, with still space left on either side to give you and your neighbour privacy. Although we have ample space for more pitches we have to take into account the actual number of people on site using the limited facilities, we try to keep a good balance of guests to prevent guests waiting, and sometimes we have to limit the ammount of people staying on site.
We are a basic, no frills site so you won't find a washing up area, we do have a bowl in a stand by the water should someone need it but we generally find guests wash up in their caravans or tents and is rarely used. We try to be helpful and a warm welcome is extended to everyone, and please visit our web site for more information about our site

Very peaceful site with lovely views to Carew Castle and Estuary. When we arrived in early February during a particularly wet and windy weekend and even though a working sheep farm and lambing had begun, we (our dog included) were made to feel very welcome. Would definitely visit again. Word of warning if using sat-nav. DON'T! use advice given on website.

We had a most enjoyable visit at this lovely site. Excellent location for exploring the area. The local pub was super with a wide vegetarian selection. The castle was one of the most interesting that we've visited. The facilities were basic but kept very clean.
There was plenty of space for each unit with lovely views towards the river. It was one of the best value sites we've found. It is possible to access the river from the site and we brought our canoes with us.
Only problem was that unless the tide is high you have to wade through mud - well I had to in order to tow the others in! It was quite windy and our awning was partly blown over one day; it was fine when we added extra guy ropes, but do be aware.
The lane leading up to the site was quite narrow in places - caravanners need to respect the arrival/departure times. Highly recommended.

Fantastic peaceful site, well kept, with amazing views of estuary with the dreamy Carew Castle, and tidal mill just a short walk across the fields.Very friendly, and helpful owners.
A great dog friendly clean site. Easy access to Pembrokeshire coast. Owner suggested we visit Freshwater West beach which was the best beach we visited all holiday,no shops or cafes just sand, surf and scenery perfect.
Good local pubs for eating out close to Tenby which has good shops for essential supplies. Had a great holiday.
