Visited this site quite a few times. So what can I say, FANTASTIC site, toilet and shower block is always exceptionally clean, that goes for the site too. Very very quiet, even if there are children on site, there is plenty of space for children to play in the centre of the field. We have been visiting this site for many years, and never had a complaint yet. The site is very flat, and well maintained. The owners are fantastic and if you have a problem are always there to help you.
Staindrop is the nearest village and very nice too, with local pubs & shops, tea rooms, which we visit often for Sunday lunch, and very good food and prices are good. Raby castle is right there, where you can see hundreds of deer a great site to see, Barnard Castle is a short drive away, with Bowes Museum which is very interesting

Hi Had a fantastic weekend at this superb well run site. Toilet block Spotless everything to hand. Good selection of local information sheets. Level site. Charming owners.Big pitches plenty of electric points. Easy to find SO SO Quiet & peaceful. One little point for dog walking not so good because you have to walk on the lanes. Dont be put off by this little pointer, you should visit.

A very quiet site with views of Raby Castle. Pitches are clearly marked upon arrival so there is no confusion about where to pitch. The owner is quite strict about site rules but this ensures the site remains tidy and quiet. If you like to have a bit more freedom or make a bit of noise this is not the site for you (we were reminded about the no noise after 10.30 rule at about 9.45)!
The facilities are very clean and tidy and close to the site. There is plenty of room for children to play (as long as they stay in the middle of the field and don't touch the horse, or investigate the hedgerows) and a number of public footpaths around the site. Staindrop is the nearest village and has all of the usual amenities.
