This is a beautiful, level, grassed site with large pitches in a peaceful countryside setting.
The facilities were excellent and clean and provided everything we could want.
The owners were very friendly and helpful.
We would definitely stay there again

We had pitch #3 which was spacious and nicely placed close to the facilities. The pitches are all large, well cared for and at a very fare price.
The facilities are spotless. The shower and sinks don’t offer continuous flow water but it is manageable. The shower room (there is only one) was always available when we needed it as there were only two other couples in tents; the other sites all had guests in caravans.
Pam was a gracious host. Her lovely cats Ellie and Quill made us feel especially welcome!
There was very little noise from the road. The site is well placed for travelling to Raby castle and High Force. Middleton on Teesdale is an especially nice village and not far from the site.

This is a beautiful, open site that’s easy to find. All pitches are huge!
There was plenty of space for our tent plus 2 cars (first car free, 2nd car charged at a very reasonable £2 extra per night).
Facilities (toilets/shower/pot wash/recycling/general waste etc) are excellent and spotlessly clean.
The entire site is beautifully presented and tidy.
The owners, Pam and Colin are friendly and welcoming and are always around for any queries. There’s plenty of info for the local area and an excellent book swap shelf!
The site itself is wonderfully quiet and is an excellent relaxing spot!
This was our second visit, and it most certainly will not be our last! What a superb little find!

Lovely friendly owners and a well laid out site.
Immaculately kept and plenty space, beautiful views all around and great walks for dogs.
As it was late in the year there was only a couple of us on site but so much space.
We will be back.

Our local site. Regular visit. Excellent family friendly site. Dog friendly. Plenty of walks or just stay and chill out on quite site.
Plenty of space for children to play.
Short drive to Barnard Castle and Teesdale.
Highly recommended, see you again very soon.

This is rapidly becoming one of our favourite go to sites if we want somewhere not too far from home. A lovely large, flat field with a spotless toilet/shower block and very welcoming owners. It is also very handy for anyone wanting to visit the big Kynren outdoor show in Bishop Auckland. A lovely site.
PS there are now dishwashing facilities.

This site is exceptionally clean and tidy with the grass cut everyday that has not rained. It is a small site with clean facilities. The owners are very friendly and if they have room they will accommodate anyone.
Approximately a mile from the local village and only a 10 min drive away from Barnard Castle.
They only have one shower which is sufficient for the size of the site. They don't have a washing-up sink for in case anybody arrives in tents.
Other than no proper washing-up sink we will be going back again very soon. Ideal for the back to basics campers.
