This is a nice quiet site, hidden away. The facilities are basic with free hot hot red hot water in the shower.
The ground is nice and level with elc hookup on site for both tourer and tents. The owners are nice and helpful.
There are pubs near and shops down all the back alleys of Ulverston, keep you walking for hours.
Its easy to find just off the A590 down side of the cattle market, down north lonsdale road to the end left, then right, come to a white house, down side of that road and you run on to the site
I will be back again nice little site.

This site must rank along with the best for views such a charming little site. We spent 3 days here 27th 28th and 29th aug 2010. The site is that good the migrating geese landed in the next field. Facilities are basic but clean. A taxi ride into town only costs £5.00 so you can enjoy a night out. Plenty of good pub food in Ulverston. You pass Booths supermarket on the way in a 15 minute walk from the site down to canal foot. You can have a pint/wine and enjoy the views across Morecambe bay. Another plus for the site its not next to any major roads so no traffic noise. The warden and his wife are local people and will give you good advice about the area so if you are planning to go to the lake district next year you will not go far wrong making this site your base

Excellent small quiet site, clean basic facilities. Very friendly owner and so helpful when I lost my awning due to the wind, couldn't have fixed it without their help. Price just right at £12 night with hook up. Postcode in sat nav takes you straight there. Plenty of places to eat in Ulv but you do need transport. Explore all the back alleys with little shops in them, easy to get lost. Barrow maritime museum is a must. Would definitely stay there again.

This site will allow non CCC members on site. I booked in advance but you can just turn up. We pitched out tent but did observe caravans / camper vans and also motor homes on site.
This campsite is small, peaceful, relaxed and a hidden gem which is only a short walk to the fantastic town of Ulverston whith it's Laurel & Hardy Museum, Fantastic Pubs (The Rose & Crown or The Farmers are highly recommended for good food and great atmosphere)and those people who like a bit of a walk - you could walk up The Hoad and take in the breathtaking views over morecombe bay / rest of the lakes.
The site has electric hook up which is £12 per night and £10 for non electric camping. There is a shower and three toilets on site. We also observed dish washing facilities.
Also there is a small children's play area as well as borad games to keep kids occupied. We camped for may bank holiday weekend but it wasn't overcrowded or noisy.
The owners are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.
Overall We enjoyed our stay at Priory view and will be returning frequently as we love Ulverston and to combine camping with spending time in Ulverston gets our thumbs up!

I found this a nice quiet site, even though it was Bank Holiday and there were a few young children staying you never heard them. There is a small playground for the kids. It was pretty windy when I arrived so took me longer to pitch than it should have. Seeing as this was only my second time camping, [born again camper, has been 25 years since I've been camping], I really enjoyed myself, even though my Vango Venture 500 is a bit hard to manage on my own.
The owners were very friendly and just said to pitch where I liked seeing as I didn't need electric hook-up. There is only one shower, but I managed to judge it right all weekend and didn't have to queue, saying that I didn't see anyone else having to queue either. There are only three toilets and both gents/ladies have to use them, but this didn't seem to cause anyone any embarrassment. The Swan pub is 1.5 miles away, they don't do food, but there is a nice Chinese take-away next door to it, Booths supermarket is only about 2 miles away if that, so you can get provisions with ease.
The ground is pretty hard in places so I would recommend you take some 'hard ground pegs' with you as I bent a few of my ordinary ones. The site is more or less level but with the amount of rain the Lakes had over the weekend parts did get a bit boggy.
If you want peace and quiet this is the right site. I'm not a member of the C&CC but they welcomed me. Think the field I was in was extra to the CCC one.
