On the positive side, it is cheap, £16 including hook up, waste disposal, quiet,
Great location, very handy for South Lakeland, and easy to get to.
The owners are friendly and helpful.
On the negative side, the facilities are dire, two portaloos without water to the washbasins, but are clean.

Tucked away camping and caravan site.
It has a small toilet block with small wash basins and three toilets but no showers or dishwashing facilities more suited for self contained vans and caravans. The shower bloom looks like a long term repair.
Camping field well kept. With some electric Very basic site but in Cumbria peaceful.
There is a footpath cutting across field to get to local pub the Farm House. Would got higher rating but for no showers

Lovely quiet flat site with great open views. Basic functional wash block & showers.
Only gripe is that washing up facility currently unavailable as wooden floor was unsafe.
Friendly, relaxed host with a real can-do attitude.

It is a bit tired and a little neglected, but this is a superb site. The facilities, though basic are spotlessly clean.
Well maintained pitches. Very quiet and ideal for the southern Lake District. Where else in the Lakes could you get a decent campsite for £15 a night including hookup. Important if you are using satnav to use the site postcode, it may seem as though you are going up a dead end but you do get there in the end.

On arrival all looked ok, but on inspection the main toilets and showers were out of action. Just one toilet and shower working in another block. This was reasonably clean.
For £15 per night and 50p for a shower a bit over the top. Location is good if you want peace and quiet, wouldn't go back.
Just on a positive note a big thank you to Ed for pulling us out of the grass as we got stuck and he let us jet wash the motorhome down.

Had 2 great weeks on the site. Very quiet and lovely. Will be back again. Toilet blocks were kept clean.
Shower had hot water. Children's play area was good. Shops in the town. Pubs in town. But there is a good pub on the canal foot that do good food. Stan laurel pub does great food.
Other campers were friendly

Although the actual site had nice views, disappointed with the amount of rubbish littered about, including an old fridge dumped at the side of the field.
Showers were out of use and men and women had to share same toilet. Site in a fairly industrial area. OK for an odd night camping. No shops, pubs within walking distance.
Ulverston town is a good 45min walk.

Well what a fantastic time we had at the Priory View campsite. Friendly and accommodating owners, always on hand to help. Lovely views of the Conishead Priory, perfect location to explore Cumbria hills and beach. The site was equipped with toilets and a nice hot shower. Perfect way to spend a bank holiday weekend, Thank you for a lovely weekend. See you very soon. Nicola, Mark and Sam

Lovely quiet, clean and tidy site. Grass cut short round the edge but left with pretty buttercups and clover in the middle. Electric for all pitches if required but posts not obtrusive.
Plenty of space, small play area far enough away to not be a nuisance but close enough to keep an eye out.
Basic facilities but clean and well stocked with loo paper and hand towels!
Room with leaflets/information and 'book swap'.
Friendly owner.
The only noise was the chickens. (home from home for us as we have chickens)
Can get quite windy.
Handy for lake Coniston and windermere and surrounding attractions.
Sat nav takes you to the door if you trust it. (you do wonder where you are heading)
Do your shopping at the nearby Booths supermarket, reasonable prices and relaxed atmosphere, no music or tanoys!

Booked this certified site as it was reasonably priced at £15 a night for the Lake District and other reviews showed the facilities were basically O.K.
We found it always clean but it was certainly basic with one family bathroom with a shower and 1 mobile toilet block which was unisex and only had sinks with cold water. The shower only became hot enough when we took it off the stand and lowered it so to improve the pressure.
That said the site did contain a nice little play area for children and had some children's games in a communal area next to the family bathroom.
We found the owners to be very friendly and helpful and they gave us a hand pitching the tent in strong winds.
It certainly was an exposed spot on reclaimed land close to Morecambe bay.
The ground was simply the hardest I've camped on in 16 years and I had to use rock pegs exclusively. This will not improve much with wet weather as the owner told me that the site was a bog when he bought it so he dug it out and filled it with hardcore.
Another point of note for users in cold weather is that the site contains signs saying no electric heaters for tents or caravans for everyone's health and safety.
This is a handy location for touring the area and has a nice bar at the Bay Hotel just a walk down the road which has stunning views of the coastline.
To conclude I would consider this site again in summer but it is not so great in cold weather.
