Very peaceful, relaxing site, hot, controllable showers. Spotlessly clean and well maintained pitches.
Hosts are very friendly and welcoming.
Good proximity to Cardiff and north to "Brecon Beacons" (if we are still allowed to call it that).
We will definitely use this site again.
Highly recommend a visit to the "Big Pit".

Was a lovely peaceful and clean site. Wasn’t too many others there which was a bonus for us.
Small dog exercise field to let dogs of leads. Very pretty surroundings with a lovely pond with ducks, ducklings and fish.
Only down side, which wasn’t the fault of hosts, was the availability of a taxi, ordered one of the recommended companies and after waiting for around 30 minutes and being told that it would be £10 for a 1 mile trip plus £3 for a dog called back to say they have none available for a considerable time.
Walked to the pub (Y Maerun) and thankfully one of the staff offered to drop us back when we were ready.

Friendly and welcoming owners. Lovely laid out site.
Shower rooms chilly ( not the water!) but when you camp in November in Wales you have to be brave!

Very helpful landlady in the pub. The site is basic in terms of facilities.
Good hard standing and no hassle in parking. No charge for parking, we had drinks in the afternoon at the pub and breakfast in the cafe which was all excellent value.
We will definitely use again if we’re in the area.

Fantastic campsite-well maintained, beautiful and peaceful.
We had such a lovely couple of days here-the owners were really friendly and helpful.
Really clean facilities and loved the homely touches in the shower/toilets, really well kitted out kitchen with everything that you may have forgotten there to borrow.
Great info on site about local places to go-we did the coastal walk as recommended, which was worth braving the road outside which was quite fast-just had to walk on the grass verges and cross on blind bends.
Such a well laid out campsite and you can see there has been so much hard work and care put into this lovely site-thank you we will book again

Nice quiet (adults only) campground close to both Newport and Cardiff,
Good facilities,
Although some of the spaces in front of the showers area bit small.

Pleasantly surprised with the lovely layout, pitches and facilities.
Pitched up by the small lake with a beautiful view. Did some birdwatching in the hide and spotted lots of fish (koi?).
Relaxing to walk round and investigate the well kept site. Always something new to find with each walk.
Lots of interesting local information found in the kitchen & shower block.
Adore this site.
Will return soon.

Lovely brief stay at a stunning location.
Maria and Nige were extremely friendly and welcoming!
Quiet site which provided us with the perfect stopover between Swindon and the Gower.
