We stay here 3 times a year for the bank holidays and was told when I booked that it was fully booked on the Friday, which when I stay I have previously arrived Fri & left on Mon.
Upon arrival on the Sat it was clear that there was loads of empty pitches not impressed. After speaking to the very friendly warden he said no one had left and only 5 more vans were booked in for the Saturday so why they said it was fully booked is beyond me.
This year they have cut the available pitches to around 45 and removed the porta cabin that housed the other toilets & showers.
The brick toilet/shower block remains and I am pleased to see that they are much improved and slightly modernised internally having a heater on and warm showers.
I will return as although they have put the price up by a £10 this year it is still reasonable value

Just returned from Easter weekend spent at Butlins. This is our third stay on this site. Once we found our pitch we checked in at reception and was given our passes and entertainment guide. Pitches are all on grass and plenty of room between vans. Only the brick built toilet block left which looks like it has had some work done to it. Small shop, reception and club on site and only a short walk to Butlins.

Touring pitches very large, flat and lots of space. Very impressed.
Not impressed with toilet and shower facilities. 1 brick built building and 1 portable cabin. Extremely outdated, cold, not at all what I would have expected from a company such as Butlins. We resorted to using shower facilities in the pool as they were warm and a much nicer environment. Seems all the money gets spent on the Butlins resort and the touring pitches are given a back seat.
As a whole we had a nice time but for approx £50 a night touring facilities seriously need upgrading

We stayed here for 10 nights as we have done on a few occasions before, sorry to say that this year we could see a down hill trend in the site. They have removed one of the toilet/shower blocks and the 2 that are left are in a poor state of repair.
Due to the lack of toilets for the number of campers the loo roll and hand towel soon runs out between visits from the cleaning company. You really do get the impression that staying on the touring site you are a second class citizen, they would much rather you paid the extra for there accommodation.
Butlins itself has excellent facilities but is so overcrowded getting a seat in any of the venues is impossible unless you want to queue for hours.
Take you own food on to the site as the prices in the supermarket are a total rip off, as are drinks etc in the venues.

We stayed on the tourng site the last week in July. The pitches are grass and they are large with plenty of space between them. A tarmac road provides access to pitches. We found the site quiet and it wasn't full/overcrowded.
The Toilet and shower facilities are very poor, there is a porta type building with showers toilets and wash basins. It never seemed to be very clean. There is also a brick built building with with the same old facilities and again it always seemed to be dirty. There was always plenty of hot water for showering and washing. Butlins need to invest some money into the touring site and bring it up to date. The elsan point I used was blocked and overflowing on one occasion so I reported it to customers services at 19. 10 and the next morning at 09. 00 it was still blocked, this was a health issue because just 2 metres away was a fresh water tap.
Butlins entertainment was really good, there was something for everyone, there is loads for the young ones to do. Good entertainment in the bars for young and old. There are plenty of staff in the butlins complex keeping the place clean and tidy, such a pity Butlins don't do the same on the touring site.
Skegness is about 20 minutes walk away and it has a nice beach with all the usual seaside attractions and appeared to be well kept and tidy.
So come on Butlins put the same investment into your touring site that you put into the main complex.

Stayed bank holiday weekend, very busy but excellent value for money.
Easy access to large flat field, plenty of room, easy check in, good tv & phone signal.
On site shop with plenty in & newspapers, 5 min walk into Butlins itself, lots of space & clean.
This is the second time we have stayed here and this year we was near the main road which is busy & noisy
I would have asked to move if I realised before I set my awning up as when we stayed last year we was away from the road and was quiet apart from the odd people returning from the entertainment venues.
We have used both shower & toilet blocks, 1 is brick built, old & grubby but functional with warm water the other is a portacabin like the ones off a building site. It was clean but the main doors don't stay closed so was cold. We did not use the shower so cant comment on them.
If they upgraded the toilet/shower block you could not fault the site.
Butlins itself is overcrowded and you need to queue very early if you want to watch a show.
On the positive great value for money plenty to keep the kids occupied and we will definitely visit again.

We stayed here over half term of Butlins itself was full. Very spacious site, they have over 200 pitches but only ever use up to 50 a week so lots of room for children to play and to spread out. Lots of room for riding bikes, flying kites etc and the football/baseball pitches are on this side of the complex so older children can visit alone.
Electric hook up was good, water facilities good, tv reception very good. Small shop on this side of the complex but if needed Morrisons and Tesco are approx 3 miles away in Skegness.
Check in as quick and easy, very friendly wardens. Standard check in time is 12 but people we able to arrive earlier, standard check out time is 10am but we were able to stay on the pitch until 1pm and if we wanted to stay any longer we just needed to move the van to the next field so we could enjoy the full day on the Butlins site.
Facilities at Butlins itself are great and the caravan site is very quiet.
The site is situated over the road from the main complex along with the static caravans and is reached via an underpass, less than 5 min walk to the main entertainment.
The toilet blocks on the touring site are dated, the toilets themselves are clean, warm, well lit and always plenty of toilet roll. The showers only have curtains so we did not use them.
A great facility to bring your own caravan and still enjoy all that Butlins has to offer - will definitely return.

We stayed for the bank holiday we have done the last 3 years but this was the dirtest we have seen it, We normally see birds in toilets but they must of thought the same. They really need new shower and toilet blocks, One must of been too hard to clean as there was one less this year, Its the first time ever in all the time touring I have felt more dirty after a shower then before I went in! Wont be going again unless we drive passed and see a improvement. They have a pipe to fill water up were a woman choose to put in her dogs mouth and give it a drink, Less then a hour later a girl stopped to have drink and put pipe in mouth. We also saw people washing their pots there because they didn't want to queue for a sink.

This is the second time we have used this site and the only reason we come here is you get free passes into Butlins.
The toilet block is disgusting, we never used it because it was so dirty and dated. Don't think it was cleaned for the whole weekend we were there. Butlins, please spend some money doing up your toilet block.
All pitches are on grass with electric hook up. Lots for the kids to do in Butlins itself.
The beach is within walking distances. Be prepared to queue up for evening entertainment to get a good seat.
Overall we had a good time and will be going back.

The main benefit of this site is the location, it is situated on the opposite side of the road to Butlins, there is an access tunnel which leads straight into the Butlins complex. The site is flat and offers grass pitches. There is electric hook up.
The shower and toilet blocks are very tired and dirty, however fully functionable. When we were there the site was very quiet approx 20 other campers, the kids had a great time with all the open space. I would however not want to be there in peak season.
There is a shop on the site which is well stocked, good play equipment for all the kids 3 year ols, 8 year old and 10 year old. I would certainly visit it again however it would be at the end of a season.
