First time to this site but definitely not the last. The site is secluded and peaceful, well kept and clean. The notice at the entrance telling you which pitch you have been allocated is really helpful so you can just arrive and get set up. The new shower / toilet block is clean and the best I've come across so far - although there is only one shower this was not really a problem. Poulton is near by for shops and places to eat, good base for walking or Fleetwood and Blackpool are close by if you want more hustle and bustle for a while.
No problems with the gate as mentioned in other reviews. This is a lovely site and we will return again.

A real gem of a site. Michelle really takes care of her site and visitors alike.
The pitches are all hard standing but with plenty of grass around the pitches to sit on. All level with no need for levelling blocks. There is also a small children's play area.
Picturesque views to the back fields. Just noted that they have planted Leylandi hedge around the site. Please don't let this grow to high!
The log cabin has been completed and wow! so clean and spacious.
Michelle really takes pride in her site and really deserves an award for her hard work.
Will I return? Of course. There is nothing really to complain about.

Excellent CL! We had a lovely stay there and yes it is more pricey than other CLs but worth it and definitely much cheaper than commercial sites in Blackpool. Due to it being October half term there were lots of kids which was great to see on a CL and it was a very safe enclosed site. The layout of the site was also great, the lawns were well kept- we had a lovely large lawn area to the side of our large hardstanding pitch, it would have been lovely to sit out if it had been warm enough.
The shower/toilets were always immaculate but due to only being one shower a queue can quickly form but a shower is a bonus on a CL anyway.
There are plenty of local shops, pubs and take-aways within a couple of miles. We had some great fish and chips from Seniors down the road.
Michelle has a folder with take-away menus in and some local information, book exchange and magazines in the information hut. For some good old fashioned family fun I would recommend a trip to the Blackpool Tower Circus the kids and adults loved it. We also went to Stanley Park in Blackpool which is definitely worth a visit with kids. It has a great playarea, skate park and a fantastic BMX circuit as well as lovely grounds.
I would definitely recommend this site as you have the peace and tranquillity of the site combined with Blackpool and all its attractions on your doorstep.

This is a lovely little site that is hidden out of the way and only a 10/15 minute drive into Blackpool.
A quiet location with great facilities, the toilet block is in a log cabin, it has only 1 toilet and 1 shower room with a toilet in so in peak season could get busy, however it was always clean.
There was a little set of swings and a little picnic area that keep the kid's more than occupied.
The only downside for us was that it was a tight entrance and not clearly marked.
Would be more than happy to revisit this site any time of year.

What a fantastic little CL site this is, only one problem, we missed the turning and turned in to the wrong campsite just 300m up the road, needs better signs.
Once we got the 26ft caravan and van on to the site, gate narrow for larger caravans pulled by vans, we had a very pleasant stay.
A lot of money has gone in to making this a very nice CL site toilet block has been finished and is very pleasant to use, top marks for this.
A little pricey but you get what you pay for, nice play area for the kids.
On leaving the site take a very wide turning circle or you will clip the gate post. I made it okay but only just, I'm around 40ft long with the transit and caravan combined. Need to make gateway bigger for the larger twin axle units being manufactured these days.
Would I come back? Most definitely yes.
Marks out of 10? 9. 5
Would I recommend to a friend? Yes
Over all a very good site, no problems

As stated by many others a real gem of a site nothing like a CL. The drawback as mentioned by others is the toilet/shower facility which is clean enough but when will this log cabin facility be completed? Would be well worth more money per night if this was completed. Michelle was lovely as was the site on a whole. You would never believe that Blackpool was so close as this is way out in the country yet a very short drive to the sea. Never went to the local Harvester as this was quite a walk up a steep hill.

First time at this site and it is easy enough to find just have to avoid a low bridge.
Welcome board informs you which is your pitch. All pitches are of good size and well maintained as is all the site.
Toilet and shower does need to be improved which is in the pipe line we believe.
Short drive into Blackpool a other tourist hot spots so great location.
Great pubs near by that served fantastic food and child friendly (eagle & child). Over all a fantastic short break.

Waited a while to visit this site but well worth the wait. So peaceful and quiet. We've a long caravan and 4x4 but managed to get in ok
Really enjoyed it, just the two of us, so nice, relaxing weekend. Will be returning next year, I better book early!
The toilet was clean and the facilities were all fine. I wouldn't say the kids would have found it too interesting
We didn't go out to nearby pubs, but next time we will be trying them.

I whole-heartedly agree with all the earlier comments. This site is an absolute gem! Easy to get to and only about 3 miles from Blackpool Tower.
Pitches are large hardstanding (plenty big enough for 'van and awning) level and well spaced with large areas of grass between each pitch - as can be seen on the web site.
The owners are investing heavily in their CL - a new log cabin for information centre / toilet / shower-block is planned for 2010/2011 to replace the present facilities on top of the excellent fencing and landscaping already completed.
I have no hesitation in recommending this site - in fact we've already booked for next year.
A definite future contender for CL of the year.

Super site, only 3 miles from Blackpool, but seems to be out in the country. Shops and a very good Harvester Restaurant within a short walk. (Not all Harvesters are as good as this one).
Lovely clean site well cared for, mix of hard gravel pitches cut into lawned surrounds is just right, the photos show it as it is. Clean shower room and separate toilet on rear of owners garage (no extra payment for shower)is a bonus.
The chemical disposal could be closer to the site but not really criticising. Just turn up, look at the board at the entrance to find your pitch and it is updated regularly. The new shower/toilet block, the owner told us is to be started in Jan. 2011. Highly recommended.
