Very accommodating family and such a lovely camp site. We were sited in their garden as the fields were wet, with electric hook up.
There is toilet disposal Area and many water refill pipes dotted around. Farm environment and was nice to hear animals in the morning otherwise very quiet.
Toilets and hot water shower block is part of the barn building. Very clean although the showers are quite basic, however do the job.
Pleasant evening stay and interesting area to explore.

Little gem amazing views over tree tops of sea and Maidens lighthouse.
Toilets and shower basic but clean. All hardstandings have grass at side and ehu. Bargain price from £10.
Will be back as 5 mins walk down to Culzean castle and 10 mins drive to Ayr with its free parking. Great find 🚐

Visited this site for 20+ years, basic facilities but good enough. Nothing there for children but when we visit we are out most of the day so dosent really matter.
Lovely friendly family and very helpful.
Fantastic views.
We visit every year.

This CS is by a working farm, set 125m above sea level looking out NW towards Arran.
The views are great and having a bus stop at the bottom of lane is a big asset, buses north towards Ayr
And south towards Girvan. Great value at £10 per night including hook up and shower plus WC
The small shower block is clean basic and unheated ( typical Farm building). Our visit is mid
November and we look forward to returning in the Spring.

As previously mentioned this is a working farm.
It is easy to find and the entrance is on the opposite side of the road from Culzean Country Park/Castle. It is a single track tarmac (mainly) farm road but now has a few pot holes in it but no great problem for our 7. 15 m motorhome.
The pitches are hard standings with EHU and have great views out over lovely cultivated fields towards the sea and Arran.
We had a very enjoyable and quiet two days and would certainly return.
Although there are basic toilet facilities we did not use them as we usually use our own.
Good value for money at only £10. 00 per night.

A return visit as the nearby Culzean C&CC site could not book us in (no internet). No regrets at all about staying here a couple of nights instead, it suited us better too.
Still only £10 for hardstanding & EHU, that's excellent value. Stunning 180 degree views, beautiful sunsets; wonderful peace & quiet on a hard working farm; relaxed, friendly & helpful owners; just a few seasonals & the occasional stray sheep looking for lusher grass around the pitches.
You'll need wellies to walk a dog on the muddy former high road (now a farm track), and BYO loo roll for the washroom - it's basic but clean.
The track up from the coast road has pot holes, so it needs to be taken slowly. Highly recommended.

Open site with fine views towards Arran. Hardstanding pitches were width of van, with plenty of grass between. Had to ask where to empty elsan etc as there was no clear signage next to pitches.
Easy to find and nice walk down to Culzean Country Park. Bus stop at farm road end with hourly service to Ayr and/or Girvan.

We booked this site because having read the reviews on this website and the CCC website we thought it was exactly our kind of site - and we were not disappointed! If you like 4 or 5 star bathroom facilities this site is not for you. But if you value an extremely relaxed and informal atmosphere, with plenty of space, amazing views and the feeling that you are in the countryside and have got away from it all, you will feel, as we did, that it's perfect.
The castle is just across the road. If you walk through the castle grounds and take the path beyond the swan lake at the far end of the castle grounds it leads you down to a lovely beach. All definitely worth a visit. The Robert Burns Museum is about 15 mins away.
If you like walking you can walk pretty much in any direction right from the site.
The owners were very welcoming and friendly. And excellent value for money.
We would definitely come again.
