We hired a motorhome for 5 days and this was our 2nd stopover.
Firstly the price is very reasonable. Unlike some other pub stopovers this is a proper site - not just their car park.
As it was winter we parked up on the track in the middle of the small site and connected up to electric hook up. There were no other campers so we had the site to ourselves.
I paid in the pub and observed a warm welcoming atmosphere, being a Sunday evening it was the only night that food was not being served, this was ok as we had plans to cook in the motorhome. However on another night I think the food would have been worth a try and the children's menu option looked very good value.
The pub is adjacent to the river and there a public footpaths on the banks.
The views from the campsite are across open fields. On one side is the road through Tirley which meant there was some traffic noise but not enough to disturb us.
We didn't need to use the shower/toilet facilities so can't comment, we did need to fill with fresh water and there were plenty of taps for this.

The site was good, the owners very welcoming and pleasant. Food at the pub was excellent and very cheap, Sunday Carvery the best.
Good area for touring, and brilliant walks along the River Severn. The only minus, the toilet facilities which are sparse(only one shower/wc) and a bit run down. That said the price reflects this and we would happily go back.

Lovely small site, well maintained, and right next door to the pub. Great walks along the banks of River Severn. Only one toilet /shower which was not a problem for us in a motorhome, but would be difficult for campers in tents. Good play area for children. Pub food very good, and staff friendly. Location good for visiting Tewkesbury, Gloucester and Worcester. Bus stop right outside site. No site owner visible - just go into pub to check in and pay.

Stayed for 3 nights, absolutely loved it. Lovely big pitch. Pub is really friendly and welcoming. Food is delicious and reasonably priced.
Only down side as previously mentioned is the lack of toilet facilities. Not great when you are camping have to wait for someone to finish showering before you can use toilet.
Even a couple of portaloos would be advantageous.

Went to this site for 2 nights 2 adults and 2 children, due to lack of signage we didn't know about the toilet or shower block, but we asked the guy cutting the grass where the toilets were his reply was you cant use the toilets until 12 o clock (not very good when you have a 5 and 7 year olds complaining about belly ache), he never told us about the one round the back of kitchen which we have just read about on other reviews, never met the owners so cant make a comment on them, never told us where the waste was we had to look around the site ourselves was difficult to find around all the wood just being in a pile around it, we will have to think twice about returning.

This is a good place for a stop-over as it is easy to find, it is very prettily situated and is warm and welcoming; the beer garden is spacious and attractive, the food is delicious and the staff are lovely. This place is ideal for families because it has good play facilities for children, adjacent to the beer garden. I would not stay here for a longer period because being grumpy and middle-aged we are not that keen on the sounds of the playground these days, also there is only one toilet/shower and the camping area is next to a fairly busy, noisy road.

Stayed on the weekend of 22/23 June. Agree with other reviewers that its a great location, good value for money though the toilet and shower facilities need improving - it is one room round the back of the pub by the kitchens with a toilet, wash basin and shower. No toilet paper, hand towels or any drying facility when we stayed. You can use the pub toilet in the day but that's not the point.
That aside enjoy the well kept pitches which are good for tents as well as caravans and having a pub on the doorstep with large beer garden and children's playground is really useful.
Very windy weekend so was a good test for new Zenobia 6 tent - thankfully stood up to it.
Recommended site and we will be back as lots to do round the area (Eastnor Castle a top tip)

Booked the whole site for my son's 40th birthday, the weather was good and the site was perfect for a small rally like this. We had a mixture of caravans, camper vans, tents and motor homes.
We barbecued the first night, had the Sunday Carvery the next day and ate in the pub on the Monday. Great food, nice friendly staff and lovely location.
The one thing that let it down was the one toilet and shower that we all had to share so the poo queue was quite long in the mornings. With investment in a decent shower facility this could be a 5 star site. Even if the the current facility was spruced up it would make it more appealing, personally, if I ran the site I would just do it rather than wait for the brewery to cough up, after all, it would only take a day and a few quid in tiles and paint to make it look really nice.

What can I say! wonderful, friendly and welcoming staff. Meals in the pub are gorgeous and you certainly can't beat the Carvery which is served every Sunday and a very good price. It's not to noisy by the road it's only a small road. Toilet and Shower is fine, better then nothing I say. The walks around here are astounding, lots of countryside, a nature reserve and rivers to stroll by. Even your dog is made to feel welcome and is allowed in the bar at certain times. There is also free Wifi and I think a bus stop into Cheltenham outside the pub. For £10 a night it's a great bargain. We love it here.

Returned to site as it is a handy stopover and for the price very cheap. Doubt will return again though, as beer garden was full and you are pitched virtually in it, was hard to relax. The shower does need a lot of tlc, well knocking down really! My partner refused to use it, as was cold and not the cleanest. Glad didn't stay for more than a night, I had luxury of a tourer, cant imagine the hardship if went in a tent for a few days. Pity as lovely location
