We stayed on this site for the first time this year
The owner who runs the site is a star and made the stay great.
We arrived at about midnight and he was there to greet us on the gate and showed us to the pitch. He then proceeded to make up a new electric hook up lead for us so we could plug lights in etc, all done with a smile and no complaints despite it being so late.
He spent the week checking people were happy and looking after them and their tents, when the wind and rain tried its best to make them blow away.
At the end of the week when we were about to go our car had a flat battery and he charged it then jumped started it for us and finally due to the mud helped tow us off.
You can not blame a campsite for the really bad weather we had towards the end of the week and the owner did everything he could and more.
A really nice bloke to deal with that made it a nice campsite to stay on.

Found this campsite excellent, good showers, toilets and above all attitude. The guy that runs it, Steve, can't do enough for the folks on his site, running around in appalling recent weather to make sure that tent pegs were secure, that vehicles could access and leave the campsite, and provide spare parts and kit if campers' equipment was damaged.
The location is very close to one of the main spectator points on the TT course, Ballaugh Bridge, where hundreds of fans congregate. The raven pub is close, and these do decent food etc.
There are two fields used, and the gate between these is to be improved for 2013. Steve told us that the shower blocks would be improved to purpose built units, and that there would be an area of tarmac for bikes, should the weather turn bad, as traversing a muddy field on a motorbike is not much fun.
During the recent inclement weather, the mud covered our bike, and Steve provided a hose to wash down the bikes.

An apparently 'new' campsite for the TT races. However very little evidence of this is visible. For a campsite that is supposedly for tents in the main, more that two inches of topsoil before hitting bedrock is very useful for putting in tent pegs!
The field is fairly level and a decent size although pretty full when we got there. The pub is nearby, with a spar shop across the road from it.
The chemical toilets were constantly full to overflowing and running water from the taps was intermittent {so its a good job the pub is nearby!}. The showers, as with the toilets, are of the mobile kind. There is a sink for washing items outside. There are no family play facilities and only the first 20 feet or so of the driveway is concrete with mud thereafter.
It was a pleasure to leave and I'm in no rush to ever go back.
More investment in this site is desperately needed to bring it upto any kind of standard.
