Excellent campsite.
It has everything you could possibly need.
The owner, Steve is very friendly and helpful.
Nothing is too much trouble and it’s handy for the pub and shop.

Mostly level pitches. Excellent bunk house with kitchen facilities, dining and TV area- makes a difference when you're in a 2-person backpacking tent!
The tail end of one of the hurricanes hit on the second night and Proprietor Steve said he didn't like the thought of me being in a tent, let me use a camping pod for no extra charge. That's some customer service!
The loos and showers are clean, and there's a big marquee to socialise through the season.
Right by Ballaugh Bridge if you're a TT/Manx GT fan!
Nice pub restaurant close by (the Raven) and some fascinating walking/cycling/motor cycling.
Look out for the Wallabies on the Curraghs!

The campsite was immaculate. Steve the owner was delightful and a wonderful host and support to everyone on the campsite. We were blessed with warm dry weather throughout our stay Although some days were extremely windy. The site is lovely and flat with great size pitches, the grass is well looked after
Steve and his family are extremely dog friendly so our dog Poppy had a fantastic time holiday meeting and greeting others on the site and encouraging everyone to throw the ball for her. There is a warm doggy shower which she had the use of three times during her stay to keep her whites white.
The facilities provided on site are the best we have ever seen. The toilet and showers are very clean with warm water always available. In the cabin there are fridges, freezers, microwave/grills, all the cooking and eating utensils you could need and constant hot water tea, coffee and milk. The fridge full of chocolate and sweet treats along with canned drinks is another bonus and very good price.
Spar is only 200mtrs away for other essentials and a beautiful beach only a few minutes away by car.
Met some wonderful people, campers and locals.
Can’t wait to return but will definitely stay longer.

We stayed in this lovely location during the Isle of Man Classic TT weekend. The cleanliness of the facilities (toilets and showers with hot water) were to a high standard. There was plenty to do in the evenings when the racing was not on.
There was a tv room with wi-fi facilities with dvd's to watch and board games to play. The kitchen area was excellent with free tea and coffee and superb food storage (fridge and freezer), cooking and washing up facilities.
This site was good value for money and the customer service was second to none.

We spent 4 nights on this site and were very pleased to have found it. There is a slight slope on the field but nothing to be concerned about. Be prepared for rocky subsoil, I would recommend rock pegs and a good mallet.
Best advice would be to pitch on the right side of the field because when the wind blows it seems to blow across from right to left. Electric hookups available around the site if required and water stand pipes reaching roughly half way up the field.
Very friendly and approachable owners who were always happy to take time to give advice and information.
There is free wifi, in and around the kitchen/lounge, free tea, coffee and milk and there is a TV and selection of DVDs to keep the kids entertained if it rains, as well as plenty of tables and chairs. Free use of ice packs for coolers, and ample fridge and freezer space.
The toilet/shower blocks are spacious and were always clean and well stocked. Plenty of hot water and nice powerful showers.
There is a small Spar shop and a pub within a couple of minutes walk of the site. The shop sells a few camping supplies, plus a good range of food and drink, they even do a range of freshly cooked breakfast items such as bacon sandwiches and pastries. The pub, The Raven, serves a reasonable selection of ales, only one lager, plus the usual bottled beers and soft drinks etc.
The food is excellent, a little pricey but generous portions and great service. We visited the pub a few times and a large number of tables were reserved each time, so I would recommend eating early, meals start at 5:00pm, or booking a table.
I can recommend the various railways running down the east side of the island. A short drive to Ramsey takes you to the electric railway, from there you can travel to Laxey and visit the Laxey Wheel and mine. You can also take the mountain railway to the summit of Snaefell and on a good day you will be treated with views of the seven kingdoms.
A great site for accessing the bike racing, it is right on the TT circuit and ideally placed for getting around to various parts of the circuit even when the roads are closed.

This is a hidden gem of a site. Visited for summer hols (sorry Isle of Man-no interest in TT/bikes)
Bit worried when booked as kids googled maps and were convinced that we would be camping in a cow field-how wrong. Site has lovely views. Newly built shower/toilet blocks/Laundry Room as well as a kitchen/communal area with TV/dvds/books/games and tourist info. Kitchen is equipped with cutlery/plates etc in case you've forgotten anything or just want to make yourself a cuppa(donations bucket to local air rescue-hope all campers show their appreciation of what is provided). Also fridge and freezer for site guests to use.
Laptop also so you can check your emails.
Steve, owner, is always around and is totally dedicated to ensuring that everything runs as smoothly as possible whatever the circumstances. Nothing too much trouble.
Loads of room for kids (and dogs on leads) of all ages to play. Short walk to Spar shop (bit pricey but convenient) and Pub-though no beer garden as such for dog.
Probably one of the best sites we've stayed at and certainly the cheapest price. If it wasn't for the ferry trip, we would definitely return over and over again.

Stayed on this site during the Manx GP race week. Steve the owner could not have done anymore to ensure everyone was happy with the site. Excellent toilets and showers (perfectly kept and cleaned to spotless by the friendly cleaners) first class canteen with cooking and pot washing facilities. Even free tea and coffee, Two large fridge freezers for keeping personal food stuffs also a TV and board games and DVD s for damp days. Looking forward to a family holiday there next August and also the Manx GP

Brilliant site, stunning location, plenty of hot water and excellent new shower blocks which are a credit to the owner and his cleaner. Electric Hook Up never tripped out and the utility unit with tea/coffee / fresh milk and fridges / freezer / microwave / toaster / kettle / coffee maker etc for general use is a very useful addition. You could also watch TV in here and there was a heater.
We were there for the Manx GP and most of the other users were considerate and quiet after dark, the only exception being a group of Manx residents who came over the bank holiday weekend and had no qualms about shouting and being loud and noisy each night to well after mid night.
This is a site that I would recommend to any one, however, if there is a group of caravans parked together on the first row to the left of the entrance make sure you park well away from them.
This site is an absolute credit to the owner and we wish him success in the future.
