It’s a lovely site, the lady that booked us in couldn’t of been nicer.
Facilities were very clean and Malmesbury is a lovely town to wander round with lovely riverside walks.
My only gripe was with rowdy caravaners letting their dogs run free.
There are signs telling them to keep them on leads but some think they are above the rules. Also one lady had her dog in the toilets with her, making it difficult to use the facilities.

We have stayed at this site on a number of occasions and have always found Karen and Steve friendly and helpful. The facilities are kept clean and the COVID restrictions adhered to.
The site is within easy walking distance to a Waitrose Store, Malmesbury town which has a Co-op, the Abbey Gardens which are about 5 acres are lovely, The National Arboretum is within easy reach, and is worth a visit especially in the Spring and Autumn. The historic towns of Marlborough and Tetbury are also a short drive away.
Highgrove House and Gardens, the home of Prince Charles is about 7 miles away. The Highgrove Gardens guided tours need to be booked in advance.
We will certainly be visiting this site again and have no hesitation in recommending it.

What a gem of a site. We found it by chance but will definitely be using it again when we are out that way. We camped in the tent field that had beautiful views across The river to Malmesbury which was literally a 5 min walk away.
For any body who is thinking of walking the first part of the Thames Path this site is ideally situated as Kemble and Cricklade are very close by car.

Loved it at Burton Hill. It was quiet, facilities were spotless. Owners are really friendly without being in your face, and ever so helpful. A minute away from the river and thus ample dog walking. We did a circular route along the river, which took about 40 minutes.
Location perfect. 5 minute walk from town where there's a co-op and numerous other small shops for supplies.
If there were any negatives at all, I'd say the washing up water wasn't overly hot, but it didn't bother us, and it beat washing up in the van!
Nothing to dislike about the site whatsoever, would definitely consider a return to Burton Hill at some point.

Self and wife using the site as a base for a walking holiday. Lovely walks to be had in this part of the country. (We were covering the latter stages of the "Palladian Way" walk, which goes from Buckingham to Bath, and Malmesbury was a perfect base for the last forty miles. )
We liked everything and disliked nothing. This is what all campsites should be like. Beautifully maintained facilities with good thought given to "socially distanced" use of facilities. Karen was super friendly and super helpful, and both our fellow campers and the local people were all lovely.
The campsite is in a wonderful situation, as quiet as you could wish for, with a supermarket only a few minutes walk away.

Just a short 3 night stay whilst daughter had 4 days in a row off. First outing in the tent for the dog! We all loved it including the dog. Exceptionally clean, well kept campsite.
Facilities in shower/toilet block hot water freely available, toilets spotless. Pitch areas kept spotless and nicely mown, hedges all well kept.
Karen and Steve the wardens very friendly and accommodating. This was our first visit to site but won't be our last.

Lovely site on outskirts of Malmesbury only a short walk in to town and dog walk along side the river Avon.
Very good facilities and immaculate toilet and shower block. Friendly staff and will have no hesitation in returning.
