 This site is just fantastic if you want to be in the centre of Ambleside.
It provides only the basics ie water / waste disposal and a secure gated entry system. Its great if you like to tour without hook up.
Its ultra quiet and dark at night time and has stunning views all round. Some hard standing Pitches and a well presented field > We met the owner on a Motorcaravn Club Rally ( 12th June) where about 65 units were on site.
I can highly recommend to anyone if you have a motorhome and want to be in a lovely part near to all that The Lakes has to offer and at low cost as well.

Spent a great weekend at this camper park. Facilities are very basic - there are hardstanding pitches, a water supply and a waste disposal point. It is in the centre of Ambleside, adjacent to the rugby pitch.
Costs are reasonable at £10 per unit, per night - so itactually works out cheaper than parking in town!
The best way to book is by text message. The owner provides you with an entry code for the gate and you pay him when he's around.
Overall, a fantastic facility, based on the French Aires system.
