Had booked one of gypsy caravans for grandchildren and son. We were able to pitch right next to them which was good. Their van was under equipped, supposed to be for 5 but only 1 small saucepan, a kettle, 3 bowls and 4 plates plus assorted cutlery. Luckily we had extra in our camper van. The playground was a great attraction as were all the various animals for the children, including peacocks, rabbits, ponies, goats, ducks, chickens, piglets. But only 1 ladies loo and no toilet roll for one day, and the electrics were playing up big time so no light in mens loos and only 1 out of 2 showers working, and then not all the time. Owners kindly allowed us to use holiday cottage showers but this was only because holiday cottage was empty at the time. The rubbish bin was overflowing for 2 out of the 3 days we were there. The site has great potential but needs tender loving care.

Love it here. Been many times before. Lovely peaceful family site set in beautiful countryside and surrounded by animals. Site always clean and tidy. Owners are a fab couple with lovely friendly kids. Very welcoming and nothing being too much for them. Toilets and showerblock always clean, nice safe play area. Cant fault this site :). Dogs allowed too, on leads. Lovely counry walks. Nice little pub down the road that serves nice meals and snacks. Liverton village a little further down the road to stock up on supplies or grab or order a takeaway.

We stayed at this site on jubilee weekend
The owners were very very nice - a lovely couple & family
The site is delightful, beautiful scenery, surrounded by lovely animals: goats, shetland ponies, rabbits, peacocks etc.
The play area was great & safe for kids
We were very pleased
The site is obviously still being developed but for the future improvements could be:
1)another toilet block - especially for the ladies as only one toilet for the whole field!
2)another shower block - just for the ladies!
3)more waste bins
4)clear signs for the water - we had to stop most people filling their water bottles at the hose pipe for sluicing the toilet pans down!
5) tarmac on the hard standing - crush & run has been used which clings to shoes etc & gets into everything!

Stayed here for a weekend. The owner was lovely and helpful and trimmed the whole place up for jubilee weekend.
The site was nice with good space for plenty of pitches without being over crowded. Beautiful scenery, calm and relaxing.
The kids play area was nice with our 5 year old son able to enjoy playing there safely.
Lots of animals around and our dog was welcomed as much as we was. All dogs had to kept on leads which was great.
The only problem with this site is that there was only one working unisex shower and one toilet for the ladies. Had the site been busier it would have been a nightmare.
The mens toilets had 2 urinals and 2 toilets which is fine but the ladies just wasn't good enough. More toilets needed please! another toilet block at the other end of the field near the caravans would have been better
I would visit this site again but only out of season as the lack of toilets put me off.

We visited this site last year and after reading the reviews here I thought I should revisit and do a review. When we visited we were very impressed with the location - great views and the scenery was amazing! Our teens complained it was in the middle of nowhere but we thought that was very good!
There was only one loo and no showers which is why we have not been back. The family were very nice and welcoming and were working on improving the site and it sounds like they are making progress as we read there are now more loos and a shower - there were no showers at all for our stay.
We will be going back, perhaps next year, when hopefully there will have been even more improvements. When we visited the lady of the house was in hospital, having just had a baby, but the dad still made time to make sure we knew where to pitch and had all we needed.
