We stayed here twice last year and really liked the campsite because of the facilities. You can have campfires and you can keep your food chilled in the fridge, the toilets and showers are very clean and you have to pay for the showers think it was 40p for 10 mins. There aren't any shops within walking distance and it is a 10 minute drive to malton which is a lovely market town with nice shops and plenty of pubs. There is a pub 10 mins walk which serves food but we didn't have anything to eat so can't comment. All in all we enjoyed camping here and will hopefully return this year.

Just back from 8 nights. Second time at this site. Very nice quiet site. Clean showers and toilets. 2 toilets in ladies. 2showers which is unisex. One is a wet room. Owner very friendly and helpful. On packing up day it had been raining. The owner very kindly let us stay a bit longer to get tent dried out. Flamingo land a short drive away. A visit to the Black Bull inn is a must. Very nice meals. We will definitely be returning next year.

A very warm and welcoming site. Toilets very clean and also showers. We did not use any of the fishing. We used as a nice quiet site to relax and go to theme park. Just down the road will use again. There is plenty of leaflets to read on surrounding area's. A large Belfast sink to wash the pots. Also the showers nice and hot £1. 00 for 15 mins, hot water is just right

Second visit and it was as lovely as last time. Very clean toilets and showers, two ladies toilets, men's separate, two showers.
You will need either 20p or £1 coins for the showers. Sure there were coins needed for something else too in the block but as we didn't use them, not sure what they were for.
Plenty of room and lovely being in the orchard. There is a field over the road, near to the river, for extra campers.
There is a pub just a few mins up the road, but we never went to it so couldn't say what it is like. There are other pubs nearby too.
Just a few mile from Pickering and Malton and Flamingo land is nearby.
Can't miss the entrance as there is a massive willow tree there.
Cost us £17 a night, two adults, one dog and our folding camper with ehu. Would def go again.

Just had a long weekend at Willow Garth, its a really nice site and although the toilets were immaculate I do agree with other reviewers that it could do with a couple extra facilities (Toilets & Showers). Everything else about the site is spot on. The owner is so helpful and the price is really reasonable, its very close to Pickering & Malton, if you do need anything though the owner can help you out with Milk & other essentials. We didn't go but its very close to Flamingo Land and the traffic was queuing to get in from the other side. Bonus! We enjoyed every minute of the stay, bring on August 2014.

Just returned from a long weekend stay at Willow Garth. It is a lovely small, quiet and very, very tidy campsite it has two areas the EHU is in an orchard amongst seasonal tourers and across the road is an area just for tents no EHU. We stayed in the orchard where pitches are very well spaced apart.
The washroom facilities where immaculate at all times always stocked with plenty of loo roll and soap and even though the site was nearly full we never had to wait for toilets or showers. The showers are operated on a coin system (20p for 3 minutes or £1 for 15 minutes). Having said that I believe doubling the the facilities would benefit the site as there are only 2 ladies toilets, 2 small sinks, 1 gents toilet, 1 disabled toilet and only 2 showers (ladies & gents) and 1 sink for pot washing also installing a hand dryer would be ideal.
This site is in the middle of the countryside not far from Pickering/Malton however the only downside is that it is next to a very busy cut through road to Kirkbymoorside which drivers do tend to race down.
Having said that we would recommend this site to anyone and would return again, super find.

Lovely campsite we were in the paddock behind the house which is lovely. Plenty of room between units so you can enjoy the space.
Clair the owner is really helpful and has fire pits to hire which was great on a night and most people had one.
We met some of the regular seasonal caravanners who were also friendly the kids made fiends too. There is a tree swing for the kids but no park however the space to play camping games etc is more than adequate.
There is a good dog walk 10 mins off site which is off road which is good.
We are looking forward to a return visit end of August with friends.
The toilet and shower block were clean all the time and the wet room is useful for families.
Great campsite and good value for money.

Just returned from a 2 night stay which was lovely. We were in the field across the road from the main site, nice and quiet. Things I liked. Fire basket, kids loved toasting marshmallows and it has been ages since we all sat together without tv, iPads etc. Price very reasonable. Not far from flamingo land, Pickering etc quiet and clean. Use of a fridge and freezer for a quid per stay. The only downside was having to traipse over the road to wash up, loos etc. The road wasn't busy but the cars drove fast which if you have little kids would mean they wouldn't be able to go alone. The owner was very friendly and hard working, the showers etc were spotless. Thank you for a lovely break

Just returned from a 4 night stay here, we were a family of 4 in a tent with EHU. The toilets and showers were kept clean and toilet roll always stocked up. The owner was always available for any queries or requests and seemed to take a real pride in her campsite which created a really pleasant and relaxing holiday for all.
One evening we ate at the Sun pub in Normanby, 1. 7miles down the road and it was great value for money. We visited Malton which has a mini supermarket, lots of small shops, charity shops and a market. Flamingoland is a short drive from the site, a bit further is Pickering where we experienced the NYMR which was fab.
The camp site seemed to have mainly seasonal tourers who were very friendly towards us campers. We paid £17 per night but realistically it was more like £20 by the time you add on the cost of the family showering and daily washing up. For this reason, in the future we will probably go to a larger site with more child friendly areas and the showers and washing up facilities included. This does not take away from the fact that Willow Garth is a beautifully maintained and welcoming campsite and is ideal for a relaxing break away from it all.

We returned this year to Willow Garth after thoroughly enjoying last year's stay. This year was no different. On arrival we were greeted warmly by the site owner who proceeded to show us to our pitch. We were pleasantly surprised with our pitch as we were next to the road but with no noise to speak of.
The toilets, although a little basic and possibly could have done with more, were absolutely spotless. The showers were also very clean. The only gripe really would be paying for the showers and also the hot water for washing up. We ended up boiling our own and doing it at our pitch.
This site has a really relaxed and friendly atmosphere and I would recommend it to anyone. It's location is ideal for all the surrounding attractions and a fabulous base to explore from. Well done Willow Garth!
