Nicest CL site I have ever stayed on. Flat roomy grass pitches, with electric hook up and water tap per pitch. Toilets and toilet/shower room with wash basins. Spotless.

Large play area with 2 smaller play sites further along field with additional games room.

Pet goats and ponies.

Plenty of waste bins/recycling box emptied every day.

This site is beside a train track but after the first day you really do not notice them, lovely steam trains passing 3 times per week is a treat.

Fishing lake with tent site to side.

Family run site- Sue, Dave and son Jack work hard to make your stay enjoyable, always pleasant.

13 miles from Filey, 16 from Scarborough.

Absolute gem of a site, cannot wait to go back.

Just returned from a fabulous Easter weekend. Our original booking at another site had been cancelled at the last minute, and after initially phoning up and being told the site was full the owner later phoned me back to say that they had a cancellation so I was booked up. There is nothing more I can say about the site that the other reviews don't say, Lovely flat field. Electric points at every pitch with numerous taps also around the field. Lots of room between the pitches and the toilet and shower block was an added bonus. We didn't use the games room but great idea if you have teenagers. Would defo recommend and will be back. Easy site to find, sat nav took me straight their although directions in CC book spot on as usual. Only 15 minutes from Flamingo Land and 12 miles from Scarborough.

What a great site. It is well kept with water and electric on each pitch. The shower and toilets are a bonus on a CL site and spotless and clean. A lovely playground if you have children with you. The views and peaceful surroundings are great.

Dave and Sue are the perfect hosts and Dave even offered to run us up the lane to catch the bus. The trains are not an issue, they don't run early or late and you don't notice them after an hour.

Nice and friendly people on whilst we were there. We booked for two nights but stayed for four. Would get my vote for CL of the year.

Just returned from a wonderful two weeks at this site and having stayed on many CLs in the past, this one has got to be by far the best!

It has so many facilities, namely a great playground for my four children, a fab fish pond which is very well stocked, a games room (for a tiny fee) and a cabin with two toilets and a shower which is always spotlessly clean.

Felt like we was on a serviceable Caravan Club pitch as the water tap and waste disposal point was just a few feet away from our van. To me, owners make a CL and the owners of Eastgate,

Sue and Dave and their lovely young son, are the most perfect hosts. Sited within a few miles of most attractions, and we are definitely planning to come back next year to tick a few more things off the list.

All in all a brilliant place, 10/10

Cannot recommend this site highly enough.

Location wise, the coast, the moors, even York are easily accessible. There's so much to do in the area.

Don't worry about the half mile single track access road, it's highly unlikely you'll meet anyone.

The site? Well, it's a gem. Flat, neat, well kept, spacious, thoughtfully laid out with water to each pitch, plenty EHU points. Washroom in portable cabin but what a surprise when you walk in!

Fabulous shower with plenty space in there, it's family sized! Kids play park with lots of equipment, and goats and ponies to pet.

The site is right by the York to Scarborough railway line, but no trains between around 10pm and 6. 30am so noise not an issue. Kids loved waving at the drivers, often getting a toot of the train horn in response! Plus there's the possibility of steam trains passing. We saw two while there.

Finally the owner. Frequently seen around the site, always handy if there's any problems or questions, very friendly, chatty and welcoming. She and the site deserve every success.

What more could you ask for on a site. Four nights were nowhere near enough, just hope we can get on next time we're in the area!

What a lovely, small & very friendly camp site.

The site is flat & well kept with wonderful views,

There is a children's play area & plenty of room for children to run around. The facilities are spotlessly clean with a great shower!

There is fishing on site which is well stocked & in pleasant surroundings (you get a discount for staying on the site).

You will receive a warm welcome from the owners who can not do enough for you during your stay, we will be returning & hope to stay longer.

Well recommended.

Found this CL by accident whilst looking for somewhere to go fishing, what a find!

The field is very flat with nice short grass, each pitch have their own water tap and 16amp hookup. The toilets and shower are unisex and housed in a portable cabin and where kept spotlessly clean whilst we were there for 5 nights in May. There is a play area for the kids, small slide, swings and trampoline (with safety sides) at one end of the site and a couple of small goats in a paddock at the other end.

There is a railway line runs along one side of the site which is not very busy and did not cause any problems for us noise wise, and whilst we were there we saw a steam train on the Saturday.

The site is roughly mid way twixt Malton and Scarborough and is approached from the A64 down a short narrow lane with passing points, though in five days we never met anyone on the lane.

The owners are really nice people, very friendly and helpful and if you are thinking of booking in it is best to call during evening as they both work during the day.

All in all an excellent CL which I'm sure will become very popular as people will return.
