We stayed here for five nights last year and found the location to be excellent. The tow path and canal are directly in front of the caravan site and we were able to cycle from the caravan site into Bath and Devizes lock's along the tow path. Great villages along the way.
Although an industrial estate is behind the caravans, this did not bother us as were out most of the day. Excellent showers and toilets.
We were also able to sit in our caravan and watch the badgers cutting across the field in front late at night. I would thoroughly recommend this as a base for Bath and Devizes.

We booked our stay at this site by phone at very short notice and were grateful for the owners' flexibility, especially as we didn't know whether we'd need one night or two - in August!
Though we'd have preferred one of the stoned pitches with hook-ups at the top of the site, we were happy to go down by the canal on the grass.
Down here the facilities are limited to a tap and waste bins, but the location is delightfully quiet - the loudest noise is from the canal boats chugging by occasionally. It rained pretty hard the night before we left and we needed to deploy traction mats to get started.
Having found our way throughout the (automatic) barrier and the industrial units, we were greeted on arrival by one of the staff. He cheerily showed us the toilet/shower/basin facilities which are as described in the other reviews and were clean and tidy.
They are about 250m from the canal-side pitches and reached by a hard-surfaced track. Nearby is a somewhat basic chemical toilet disposal point and a grey water drain achieved by lifting a manhole cover that had a couple of bricks on it, presumably to indicate that it's not a drive-over cover.
There are no nearby shops - its probably about a mile and a half to the Lidl on the Canal Road industrial estate. The canal towpath is a handy cycle track but was a bit puddly. We'd previously been to the Somerset Arms at Semington (about 2 miles away) but not on this trip - it was fine last year, but slightly pricey.
Altogether a handy little site which we may well use again.

Stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Daughter and family. Very clean and friendly site. By the Avon and Kennett Canal.
Walked down to Bradford-on-Avon Canal for a spot of lunch (we walk fast and it took 50 minutes).
Weather was great which always adds to the outing but even on a cloudy day it is a nice place to stop.
Also no children so nice and quiet.

A great little cl site. Very tidy, nice hardstanding with plenty of room.
Lots of walks and cycle paths from site.
Friendly owners.
Lovely situation, bus stop outside.
As already said, shop nearby and about 2 miles to Lidls supermarket.
Looking forward to a summer visit so we can go on the grass right by the canal.

Great little site this one, we phoned and booked this one at very short notice, we stayed in the lower field (non electric) right next to the canal. We couldn't find the owners on arrival but they called by later in the day and they were very friendly & helpful and the site and toilets where spotless. Lots of nice dog walks about not just the canal paths. Don't let the trading estate put you off this cracking little site, looking forward to the next stay.

This is a lovely site, approached through light industrial units. There are 5 pitches with electric hookup, overlooking a paddock, with views down to the canal, and a field for a further 5 units without electric right next to the canal.
The owner is friendly and helpful with information on walks, pubs etc and makes a point of encouraging the bird life with tables and feeders.
The site is very quiet and peaceful with no noise from the industrial units, although we were there at the weekend. Lovely walking along the canal - we walked down to Bradford on Avon, which took about 1hr 15mins, and had a nice lunch at the Barge Inn and then walked the other way the following day, about 1. 5 hrs to another Barge Inn, where the food was good but the beer overpriced. You can also walk down to the River Avon, which we will do next time. There is a petrol station/general store about 15 mins walk away, partly along the canal, if you have forgotten any essentials.
Facilities are housed in one of the industrial units. Two male and two female toilets, a sink and shower, all separated by partitioning with a gap at the top and bottom. (There is a sink in the Ladies nearest the door for private tooth brushing etc!) Some might find the unisex set-up off-putting, but it was perfectly adequate for a short stay, although the shower could do with more power. The facilities were kept very clean, and contained an information board and book exchange. The site is child-free and dog friendly, which is just what we wanted. We will definitely return.

This was our first visit to a CL type site and we struck lucky!
Don't be put off by the entry road to the site, which runs through the old farm buildings (now converted to light industrial units), the hard-surfaced road leads to the rear of the units and five hardstandings, all with hook-ups. These face a paddock and beyond which is the Kennett & Avon Canal.
There is one Shower in a Toilet Block in a separate part of one of the converted buildings. The single shower was in a separate cubicle in the mixed sex toilet. It was immaculately clean and Ruth my partner was comfortable about using the toilets as the cubicles were all separate and the shower cubicle was larger than the average CC site type - ie it had plenty of room inside to change and keep clothes dry.
Also on site was a chemical loo disposal point.
We had a good walk from the site, along the canal and into Melksham via a nice cafe for tea and cake. If we'd walked (or cycled as some people on the site did) west along the canal we could have gone as far as Bradford on Avon or even Bath.
The owners were very friendly and gave us information about places to visit etc. For £12 a night it was very good value and we will return.
